Passing through and decided to dine local. The parking lot looked full on a Saturday morning, which is to be expected. There was no wait! You CAN NOT beat the prices. Food was great quality, served hot and lots of options. My little one usually won't Finnish all his food, but he had just about a full omelet!

I got the hamburger and and french fries it's just a good old fresh American hamburger french fries are crinkle fries. They are cooked to perfection. My wife got the breakfast. She loved it said it was amazing. The french fries was super crispy cooked to perfection. The waiter was fantastic. She did a good job when we were there. There was even this guy that would not stop talking their head off, but they just kept their cool and answered all of his questions for a good 25 minutes. Keep up the good work guys. It's really nice in there. Open lots of seating. They've got bar seating and tables. It just reminds you of a café.

Was lucky to spend two weeks with my son playing baseball for the Nevada Griffons. This place is great, down-home breakfast and excellent staff. You get some good food for a great price!

Good down home spot for breakfast. Friendly staff, clean inviting dining area. Good portions of everything we tried. We will stop again

The food is ok, service was good, coffee wasn't very good. We stopped in for breakfast but they no longer serve it all day during the week. So that was disappointing. Maybe they'd get a better rating if I could have had their breakfast.

Excellent breakfast. Super owners. Service is exceptional. Never had a bad meal. Biscuits and gravy cannot be beat.

Always our breakfast stop on the way back from Stockton and it's a good breakfast as we head to the airport. It's been remodeled over the last few years and looks significantly better. Friendly service, good coffee, tasty omelette and all for a reasonable price. What more could you ask for out of a spot off the highway after a weekend of fishing, friends and cocktails? We'll be back.

Convenient place to stop on the way from Joplin to Kansas City. Nice, clean place and great fresh cooked breakfast. Free travel mug coffee fill up was much appreciated. Highly recommended!!

We both had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy (I had white, sister had brown). We were driving home from a sister trip to Eureka Springs, AR and over the past 5 days had had some good food , some mediocre food and some downright disgusting food. We both agreed that our meal at 54 cafe was the best one overall we had had all trip. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a cute place with good service and great food.

Very clean on the inside, however the food is lacking. We will stop again the next time we pass through town.
