1839 Taphouse

We heard this place had one of the best burgers in town. It was yummy but not the best in my opinion, It was basic but still tasty. The ambiance is a dive bar with bar food. Service is good for a busy bar.- Burger (4/5): Pretty tasty overall, lots of toppings and you choose what you like.- Chips (4/5): We got jalapeño flavor. They tasted fresh like a potato.

Usually stop in for drinks, but needed food on this particular trip. I was blown away. I am not kidding: the burger I had rivals and was probably better than anything else Columbia. Fries were crispy and hot. I will 1000% return for food very soon. Service was great as well. Tables and booths were clean.

1839 Taphouse is a MOVE!!! It definitely has a dive bar feel, but the patio outside looked nice and cozy for a fall night.We came here with some friends and had the best time. They have a hefty beer selection and a solid bar food menu. Who doesn't love beer and spicy chicken sandwiches/burgers?! Highly recommend this place if you're needing a spot to hang.

Great place to sample some of the best beer from around the world on tap ! Ales Lagers Stouts and on and on. Cool vibe with outside setting to enjoy a pretty day or evening. Lots of good food near by also.

Great service, very attentive staff. Food is just okay - bar food at best. Very loud and people bring their kids here which I find odd. Good beer selection on tap. Prices are average.

Third or Fourth time we have gone to 1839 and not as good as previous visits. Our sever (Eva) was very nice but did not seem to have much experience as a server. She brought out our appetizers and entrees at the same time even though we specifically asked for the nachos to come out first. Our second round of drinks sat up at the bar for almost 15 minutes while she bussed tables. The Nachos were definitely not as good as previous visits with an excessive amount of cheese which made the chips soggy. The burgers were very good as always and we love being able to choose our toppings. We will go back, avoid the nachos and hope the service level improves.

Great burger! Probably one of the top two in Columbia! Had a great server named Kennedy who was so sweet!

It smells wierd inside. The food is mediocre and the staff seems disinterested. No need to come here with so many other great places in town.

A great neighborhood bar! Great bartenders and always strong service. Great burgers and wonderful selection of beers on tap! Always a good time at Taphouse!
