We decided to stop in after a day exploring Lincoln Park! The cozy, intimate setting was perfect to enjoy a warm bowl of ramen. We started with the cheese balls, which were an inventive take on crab rangoon. I enjoyed the crunchy exterior, sweet sauce on top, and warm cheesy filling. They definitely needed some help with seasoning, but the soy sauce on the table helped add the perfect touch of salt and umami. I ordered the Vegetable Gyoza Ramen, and was very happy with my choice! As a pescatarian, I loved that they had a choice of veggie broth, and a few ramen options I could try (unlike many ramen places I've been to). I was excited to try the gyozas and thought they were a great addition to the dish! I ordered mine spicy, and although there was a rather hearty scoop of chili paste, I was missing some spice for sure. Next time I will definitely order the extra spicy, and hopefully that will have the kick I was looking for. The broth although pretty tasty, definitely needed some help with seasoning as well. I added lots of soy sauce and that was the perfect touch to add some depth of flavor to the soup. The noodles had a great chew, and the veggies were cooked well.Overall, the service was great, and we enjoyed the food and cozy ambiance. We will definitely be back if in the neighborhood and craving some ramen!

We stumbled upon this cozy Japanese restaurant after shopping around the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Though the space was a bit small, the inside was very intimate. The walls were nicely decorated with fairy lights and interesting chalkboard drawings. What we ordered:Kameya pork belly ramen: pretty good! It tasted great on a cold Chicago night. The broth, pork, soft boiled egg and noodles were all cooked nicely. The portion size was fairSalmon hosomaki: standard, great as a side/appetizer to shareI'd definitely come back if I'm around the area!

Intimate sushi spot in Lincoln Park with great nigiri and sashimi. I've been to Kameya twice and both times I have had a pleasant experience. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly and the food is fresh. If you dine-in call ahead as there are only about six tables in the restaurant. I have tried their rolls and they are good but the nigiri and sashimi are the standouts. Oh and get the miso soup too!

This is easily the best Japanese food I've had in a very long time. The sashimi (tuna, salmon, white tuna) were all so fresh. The hamachi collar was to die for. Age dashi tofu was excellent. Everything was just fresh, tasty and delicious. And the service was outstanding. Our first time, but certainly won't be the last.

Really great bowl of ramen with satisfying rich broth and super soft slices of bbq pork belly. I got the signature Kameya ramen, which was honestly amazing and now ranks in my top favorite 3 ramens near the city of Chicago. All of the components of the ramen were perfectly made including the pork, the broth, the soft boiled egg, and the noodles. Would definitely come back again if I am in the mood for ramen!

This cute little restaurant is located in Lincoln Park on a very busy/popular street. Our waitress was good overall. She seemed a little annoyed when we weren't ready to order within the first couple of seconds I arrived but she started to soften up as time went on. I ordered the dynamite roll and the spicy tuna which were high quality and yummy. I felt like prices were fairly average for sushi.

Had three really great meals here recently. Twice outside (to take advantage of the warmer weather!), and once for delivery via ChowNow. Everything was consistently excellent! We will definitely be back.

This restaurant charges a 3.25% surcharge on your bill. When we asked to remove it, the manager put the teenage server to challenge us on KEEPING the surcharge. In all my restaurants in chicago the surchage is a shameless ploy to get more but once recognized the restaurants are usually fine in removing it, but not this restaurant! We wanted more money going to the servers and not the restaurant. If they want 3.25% then embed it into your menu prices right? Ultimately the manager came out and asked for "cash" to remove the surchage. We left a 25% tip for the server. Shameless and cowardly manager to hide behind a young server in defending a surchage. We felt terrible for challenging the young server but hopefully the tip made it right.
