Kahramana Mediterranean Market at 10001 W. Bell Rd. at Sun City Promenade has all sorts of wonderful treats like baklava, halva, etc., but this time I got some samoon pita which is like pita but has slightly different texture and taste. When I sliced it an put it in the toaster, man was it good. Its little pocket makes it perfect for stuffing with whatever. I think the leavening may be yogurt rather than yeast--at least that's what the ones I used to get elsewhere were made with. The store is clean and neatly organized. When I went, the workers were busy talking on the phone and to other customers so I wasn't able to ask questions. Maybe next time. With so many exotic items, it would be good to have assistants available to offer more assistance as many in this area are not familiar with this cuisine and undoubtedly would have more questions and would benefit with suggestions and some guidance to feel more at ease.

So happy to have a market like this in our area! We picked up dinner and fresh baklava today and both were absolutely delicious. The variety of tahinis and spices and sweets...I was so pleased! We will be regulars for sure!

Large selection of all things Mediterranean. The homemade pita is excellent. A Lebanese friend from Cleveland was here a month ago and she was really impressed. The staff is very helpful. The store is neatly arranged and clean. Give it a try!

We were greeted as we walked in and asked if we needed any help. They were super kind & helpful. I am new to Mediterranean food, so I didn't know what to get. I had my grandkids with me, and the Baklava called their name. This was the very first time we would be tasting a Baklava, so we wanted the full experience and got two of each. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! I can genuinely say they were the best Baklava I have ever tasted. They were beyond delicious and just melted in your mouth. And I won't lie, I had to hide most of them from my grandkids, and not because they were overeating, but because I didn't want to share. The market is full of a variety of items and so perfectly laid out. When I got home, I Googled Mediterranean recipies, so next time I stop by, I will for sure gather up all the things I need. Great customer service and phenomenal store!
