This review is for delivery only; I have never been to the physical store but have ordered delivery twice. Their triple-meat combo is incredible. It has all the meat you want (I got chicken kabob, kefta kabob, and beef shawarma.) on top of a glorious bed of yellow rice. Each meat in the combo I got has so much spice and a lovely grilled flavor to it. The rice is tender and flavorful on its own too. The combo also comes with some salad (forces me to be a little healthy, a good thing), pita bread, and a lentil soup. The lentil soup has lots of delicious flavors and is honestly kind of filling by itself, I highly recommend it! I personally don't care for the salad but I really am not a salad guy so my opinion on it is quite irrelevant. The pita bread was no longer fresh when it got to me so I will not review it here.In terms of criticisms, I do find the overall meal to be very salty. The meats themselves are already salty, so when it's paired with the salted yellow rice it becomes a bit too much for me. Some individual pieces of meat are also a tad on the dry side, though I'm not sure whether the fact I got delivery impacted that. Nevertheless, I ate it all because it's yummy. Just make sure you drink lots of water during and after the meal!Overall, I am impressed by the flavors that Kabobchi packs into their food even though it's at least 30 minutes old by the time it gets to me! I will definitely have to pay a visit to the actual restaurant eventually to try the food at its freshest.Food: 3.75/5Price: 4.5/5Overall: 4/5

It would be a 3.5 but I'll round up. Overall, it's a decent option for Mediterranean, better than others we have had in the city. The platter came with salad, soup, rice, meat and pita. I got the two meat combo with chicken shawarma and beef keftka. The meat was cooked well and was flavorful. I liked that the platters came with sides but the portion was heavily leaning toward rice and low on the meat. The rice was alright but they were out of the dill rice which was a bummer but the yellow rice was decent. The salad was good. The platters came with pita but no hummus so we did add a side of that. Nothing to write home about the hummus pretty standard. The lentil soup was solid. It's something I wouldn't normally order but they were also out of the other soup. Where they fell short was the pita. Just bland, no flavor to it.So in sum, everything was good. A little pricey for the meat portions we thought but we luckily had a coupon to use. The sauces on the side were delicious though! Def use those. Would come back if craving Mediterranean and in the area but wouldn't go out of my way for it. Better than Crave Kebob.

4-26-20222 way combo with chicken shawarma and gyros. So good. The gyros is not actually an combo item on the menu, but they are very accommodating. Everyone here is always nice. 10-20-20215 stars for their chicken shawarma and customer service. That's saying a lot because I usually hate chicken shawarma. I haven't have the lamb chops or shank yet, but everything else is pretty standard. -beef shawarma: decent and flavorful. Kind of tastes like steak with A1 sauce-chicken kabob: not as flavorful or tasty as the chicken shawarma. Also a bit dry-kefta kabob: dry, chewy and bland-lentil soup: very good. Heartier than other lentil soups I've had elsewhereI always get half dill rice and half yellow rice. I like them both. FYI they charge for extra sauce now.

Shawarma fries were delicious with the garlic sauce! Beef and chicken shawarma were well cooked seasoned. Side salad added a nice freshness to everything. Baba ganoush had a slight spice with chunks of vegetables rather than the smooth dip I've had other places.

the food is very tasty with very hearty portion. I really liked the lamb chop plate, the lamb chop (comes in 3 pieces) is very juicy and tender. The chicken schwarma is great, so is the grilled shrimp. Overall loved everything we ordered, it would be great if it offers more protein and less carb (very hearty portion of rice and pita bread)

Chicken shawarma wrap was simple and tasty. Chicken was flavorful and tender. Veggies were fresh. Fries were crispy and soft. For this simple wrap and fries, I think the price should be a tad $1-2 cheaper. There was a brown spice on the tables with the salt and pepper. We tried it but it didn't taste ...like anything. Flavorless.

This place is amazing! My go to order is the chicken shawarma or kafta kabob entree... or even better yet, get the double meat combo entree with both!I would recommend ordering the entree with yellow rice and adding hummus if you'd like. The lentil soup here is one of the best I've ever had, it almost tastes like a mix between lentil soup and chicken noodle soup and is very hearty and delicious. The owners are super nice as well and are always kind and courteous.

Come here for solid food that's inexpensive and will keep you full - you may even have leftovers for lunch. It's a fast casual joint that will get you in and out or thro a first date. Parking is street metered mostly.Had the lentil soup ($3) and side of yellow rice. Their portions were generous. We also had the shwarma wrap that comes with fries and a small side of baba ghanoush. Can't believe that it was a small. The entree items include a salad and soup for about $13. It's a reasonable cost for how good their soup is. We were both really full by the end of the meal and had some things to take home. There was only one chef and one server when we went in so service was a tad slower but I don't mind. Would love to have talked to them more if they weren't so busy. But I've find my new quick bite spot.

super delicious! I've been trying to explore Taylor street a little bit more and am really pleased with all the food options, especially Kabobchi!I went with a few friends and ordered the chicken schwarma salad (takeout) for myself. The chicken was packed with flavor and was cooked perfectly- super juicy and had a nice char. I also got to taste the falafel which was also really delicious- crunchy on the outside with a nice herby filling. Also cooked perfectly (typically I find falafels kind of dry but these were far from that!) Definitely one of the better mediterranean places I've tried in Chicago. Not to mention that the prices are reasonable, the people are really friendly, and the vibe is pretty great! It is also very close to the UIC hospital/west campus so if you are around and are looking for a quick place to get some food, I highly recommend this place!
