We went to Woomadang for a birthday dinner and were slightly disappointed. We had a group of 7 people with us. We all ordered the unlimited buffet option and due to the amount of people we had and differing palates, we wanted to try every meat option. We ordered that and were only given about half of them. The service was incredibly slow and it's like our server neglected us halfway through. We kept having to call over people to help us order more food and get more water and they treated us like we were an inconvenience to them. Most Korean BBQ places will change the cooking plate every 20-30 minutes and ours were not changed out once. Food was absolutely caked on the bottom by the end of it. I do not envy whoever had to clean it (it was probably easier to just toss it because it was so dirty). The food itself was pretty good. The beef bulgogi and short ribs were our table's favorites. Overall, the service was so disappointing and despite the food being fairly tasty, I likely won't ever come back.

K-BBQ is exploding all over the Eastside and I was curious to try this one with my Korean friend. We tried the all you can eat menu (AYCE) which includes the hot and cold bar. I was really disappointed to see that the meats were frozen, like I could have bought it from H Mart and cooked it myself. The hot/ cold bar is pretty nice though with options like fried chicken, tteokbbeoki, soup, etc. Unless you know how to get your money's worth from AYCE menus, I would recommend ordering the meats individually. The restaurant itself is quite large and family friendly.

I went for a friends bday party and it was an all you can eat special for $50, they wouldn't allow two people at the table to order off the menu, it was everyone at the $50. The server was very rude and got mad when we asked for "one of everything" off the all you can eat menu, we had 8 people, that wasn't a crazy ask. She never came back to our table, we had to flag her down to order more food and drinks. Eventually another server came to help us, our girl was no where to be found. We were cooking the entire time without butter or oil, unbeknownst to us, since the previous server didn't assist. The food was okay, could have been better had we known what to do, the buffet area was great, but the service and lack of assistance (none of us had been to Korean BBQ before) tainted my experience. Won't go back.

I have been here a couple times and have always had a pretty decent experience! They use electric grills. This helps to cut down on the smoke, but it does mean that everything takes a little bit longer to heat up and cook.In addition, they have a really good hot and cold bar that's included with the AYCE options! Includes food like tteokbokki, japchae, potato salad, mac salad. Def a solid spot for kbbq around the area!

Food: Got the beef brisket and pork belly, both thinly sliced. As you can see from the pictures, the quality of the meat was very high - some of the best KBBQ brisket I've had. Well-marbled without being too fatty, and crisped up very nicely on their grills.I tried their galbitang and soondubu on different occasions which were also awesome.Ordering: They have a hot bar with fried chicken, tteokbokki, beef and radish soup, and more, as well as a salad/fruit bar. This is included with either the AYCE or a KBBQ a-la-carte item. If you order an Entree (stews, bibimbap, fried rice), you can access the hot bar for +$8. Great to have some soup and chicken with some KBBQ.Portions: 2 a-la-carte items are a lot for 2 people since you've got the hot bar - we decided to cook up the meats (80% doneness) and get a box for our meats which worked out great. They have a 10% discount for the summer right now! Very solid KBBQ spot.

6.19.2023 Second time visiting Woomadang. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were only 6 tables. I like this KBBQ spot because we have good selections of Hot Bar & Salad Bar. (Included one order person for every a la crate BBQ order)

Not my favorite for All You Can Eat (AYCE) because of the limited options but steep price per person ($55), but quality and service are pretty good.Their unique thing is having a cold & hot bar, with the typical banchan items such as kimchi and lettuce for ssam but they also have hot items including fried chicken and tteobokki. The hot bar is priced per person at $30, unless you get AYCE or order an ala carte meat to grill in which case each order includes 1 hot/cold bar entrance. You can also have the option of adding the hot/cold bar to an entree order for $8 extra, per entree. We ordered steamed egg and seafood pancake, which unfortunately didn't count for the hot/cold bar. We also got an order each of beef brisket, pork belly, and marinated short ribs; as well as an order for the combo soft tofu soup, which all came with 1 hot/cold bar entrance. In total, 4 out of the 6 people in our party were able to go to the hot/cold buffet bar.The meat and food quality here will definitely be a lot better than most AYCE places, so it's up to personal preference what you want most; either affordability and quantity or quality. Would this be my first choice for AYCE kbbq? Probably not, since I'm looking for quantity and variety when I eat AYCE Kbbq. However, I'd come here more for the quality ala carte meat options if I wasn't too hungry because I'd still get the hot/cold bar.

K-BBQ Woomadang is located in Redmond, within the same shopping center as the movie theater and other restaurants and a health center nearby. Parking is plenty and it's easy to find. The space itself is large, with plenty of tables for large groups. You can make a reservation ahead of time, especially for large groups. The first time I came with a large group, only some in the group wanted to do the AYCE option while others did not. With that said, in order for some in a large group to do the AYCE option, ALL members of the group must participate. They are very strict about this rule. Therefore, for our group of 12, we ended up just getting a la carte options, which is when I tried the soft tofu soup with beef. It was solid. And you do get AYCE banchan. But compared to other Korean spots around, it's nothing to brag about. In my most recent visit, my partner and I tried the AYCE option. They're currently offering a $39 anniversary special for the AYCE option versus the $50 it normally is. We visited on a Saturday night and the place was busy, with many people dining in. The AYCE option includes a variety of meats to choose from to grill, as well as the buffet of hot and cold food items. The cold items were mostly the banchan they serve for a la carte dishes, and I'd say this is better than the hot food items. The hot food items were bad. I had a chicken wing, which was super dry. I could tell it was sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The tteobboki wasn't even fully cooked as it was hard to chew and cold. Yuck! This hot food buffet is not good. As for the meats, we tried the beef bulgogi, brisket, ribeye and short ribs. Of the bunch, I'd say the beef bulgogi was the best because it's marinated so has good flavor. The short ribs were also fine, but pieces were fatty. The ribeye was the worst, as it was a thick piece of frozen beef that was so bland. You really need to hit up the sauces at the buffet station to enjoy the meat here. All in all, I wouldn't visit K-BBQ Woomadang again. I came, I saw, I conquered and I wasn't impressed. With so many other Korean restaurants around, especially news ones popping up all over the Eastside, I can't say this is worth checking out.

If I could submit negative stars- i would. For context, I have eaten at numerous KBBQ places in 4 different countries, including S. Korea, for the past 20 years.Do not get the hot bar; it was horrible. Old, tired, beige, dried out food in steamer pans- very few items and all appearing unappetizing. less than 10 items which included French fries. :( The "salad" bar is limited in options- and not one i would call a "salad" bar at all. Putting out a few containers of veggies does not equate a salad bar.And for the "but this is standard Asian food"- hold that thought as I am part Asian and very familiar with Asian food, flavors and presentation. Fresh food is fresh food- old tired and dried out food is still crap. :/ And protein is King- giving unlimited poorly cooked white rice is not enough. We ordered the Anniversary special of AYCE for 39$- and were told to start with 3 meats; we ordered the rib eye, short ribs " LA style" and beef bulgogi. We made it VERY clear to start with those 3 meats (and they only let you order 3 meats from the start, though its AYCE). We only received 2 items (the cheapest ones of course- 3 strips of unseasoned short rib LA style and beef bulgogi- NOT the rib eye), and when we tried to correct it, the server feigned understanding. At that point, i just told my husband lets go home as i didn't want any of the food since 1) tasteless 2) the "smokeless" system is no different than cooking the unseasoned meat on a frying pan. This was not worth 39$ much less 5$ and would caution ANYONE to pay the going rate of 55-59$ outside of the "Anniversary special".HUGE disappointment- which is sad as we were really excited to see a AYCE KBBQ in the Redmond area (i miss the ones we used to go to in Toronto, ON or Vancouver BC or Seoul, S. Korea). When we left- we went to another restaurant in the area as I couldn't and didn't each much due to the unappetizing, poorly presented, and overcharged food. The only ONLY plus is that you can make reservations. So maybe this place is for you, if you have no understanding of what KBBQ is about or have low standards for food quality and service. Maybe that explains seeing alot of non-Asian American stereotypes as patrons.Oh for what it is worth- my husband throughout the night, after the meal, had gut issues, if ykwim. He was the one who ate the majority of the food and got hit hard. No wonder this place has only a "Good" rating from the Public Health office.AVOID. Do NOT recommend. GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!!!Go to Gyu-Kaku: yes its Japanese version of KBBQ and its not AYCE, but the food will not disappoint. ;)(I wish i could post pictures of how dry and horrible looking the food was, but each time i tried, i got the stink eye from the staff).
