Just Poke U-District

The staff here have always been nice and friendly along with the store itself being pretty spacious, however, food quality wise both times I've been here hasn't been good. The first time I went was during the food walk in which I somehow got an allergic reaction (I'm allergic to peanuts) from their poke. I didn't want to judge them solely based on that because accidents happen and it could have been something else, however, today a friend and I stopped by for dinner. Both our bowls had a little bit of a strange smell to it but we both just chalked it up to being the fish, nope, both our stomachs started hurting pretty badly after finishing it. I was able to take a tums before anything worst happened but my friend ended up with liquid diarrhea, which was not fun. Def would not come back here again.

I decided to give this restaurant another try but at a different location! Couple of friends said the U District location was good, so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. It's located next to Shawarma King on University Way NE. There's only paid street parking which can be very difficult to find on a daily basis. Luckily, the metro stops here! Instead of getting one of the specialty bowls, we both chose to make our own two-choice bowls. The fishes displayed looked a lot more presentable and edible which really excited me and my boyfriend. I chose the scallops and salmon. I was a bit scared to choose ahi tuna because of the previous experience BUT the quality looked a lot better this time around. I was able to choose as much mix-ins with the two proteins together such as sweet onion, cucumber, scallion, and hijiki! I went a bit crazy on them and also chose two sauces, truffle garlic aioli and wasabi shoyu, to mix in. Then I chose a ton of toppings too LOL. Crab salad, wasabi, edamame, massage, crunchy onion, etc. I actually didn't know how my bowl would turn out but surprisingly, it came out really good! The salmon and scallops were a really great combination together with all the mix-ins and toppings. Sooo good! My boyfriend's bowl consisted of the ahi tuna, and it was definitely a LOT better than what we first had.I'm super glad I gave this chain another try as this experience was 110% better than my first time! We both thoroughly enjoyed our custom bowls and will be back to this location in the future!

Came in a few minutes before 6pm. There was a family/party of 5ish and one customer heading out. Said and waved hello to get their attention. One of the workers literally looks at me, rolls his eyes and walks away.

I'm a pretty big fan of Just Poké. I've only doordashed from here, but every time has been great. They give decent portions for $20, although some other places definitely give more. One of my favorite parts is that you can get two FAT scoops of imitation crab. In addition, the salmon and scallops are pretty soft. They also do a good job on keeping their house sauces light.Based on other reviews, it seems like the food quality fluctuates throughout the week. I would say it's worth giving Just Poké a try -- I've only had positive experiences so far.

My first time trying Hawaiian flavors and it was amazing! The refreshing taste of avocado pairs well with fresh fish! is good for working out, this combination of food can help me gain more muscles! I will come again!

The place was empty and I should of known. I thought I was just early to opening. I brought My Dad and my son there to try it. My son ordered the salmon bowl and ended up getting food poisoning. Poor guy will never step another foot in another just Poke place ever again.

Service is always AMAZING, they always are VERY generous with the proportions. The food is AMAZING, there's something about the ambiance as well, very good place to eat. Highly recommend!!!

One of my favorite places on the Ave, love the customizations available and being able to make it according to my tastes. The fish is fresh and I love the variety of all the add ons. Good bang for your buck, and always a treat to visit!

This is one of my favorite places on the Ave !! The food tastes amazing,, the workers are always so nice, and the place is always so nice & clean. I got the dynamite bowl, with some additional toppings, and it was great !! Cannot recommend highly enough (: I always have such a good experience here
