Just Poke is a pretty well established poke franchise in the Seattle area! Though it's normally not my go-to for a bowl of poke, I decided to check out the Mercer island location seeing that it just opened! Honestly, I was really glad to make this choice, this location pleasantly surprised me!I'm not sure what it was, but this location tastes FAR better than previous locations I've been to. The fish tasted fresh - I got the Salmon and Ahi Tuna, but I got to try the scallops as well. I personally really enjoyed the salmon and scallops, both had a great texture to them and were high in quality! I also really enjoyed all the toppings here, there's a bunch of standard options such as edamame, seaweed salad and crab salad, but I also really liked having things like mac salad as well! Overall, I had a great experience here at Just Poke Mercer Island, and I would definitely come back if I were in the area!

Always great service and consistent food quality. I was a little surprised that their spicy tuna/salmon was actually spicy but that's not a bad thing. It's a nice little place to stop by on Mercer and take it to-go.

Ordered the Pike Place salmon poke bowl. It was bland and flavorless. I couldn't tell if it was salmon or not. It tasted like water. The miso soup on the side was like drinking seawater. Someone must've poured and entire 2 liter bottle of soy sauce into it. Overpriced. One salmon poke bowl and miso soup was $25 with tip. I feel like I got robbed.

Good food, but nothing extrodinary. It's starting to suffer from the post COVID inflationary price gouging with smaller portions and higher prices.

may2024 they have coupons on the back of QFC receipts. 2$ off or something so suggest walking half a block to grab something for this coupon lol they do weigh their poke fish and it's such a bad look. just go a hit of weight over rather than this weighing by the gram and then scooping one singular fish into my bowl and checking the scale. it's such bad business practice and I see other folks commenting this same thing. I personally get a ton of toppings so it makes or a full bowl but I totally get the frustration when we're paying an increased price (now 15$ for a regular) and getting less fish.

Update: We came back a few times since we try to support local business owners. However, the portions have gotten less. The last time the server was confused and mixed up my order and made it spicy instead of the other order. They have been weighing the poke and limiting toppings maybe due to inflation, but it is disappointing and the prices are a little higher. Overall, we will probably go off island for another poke location.

In general, I like Just Poke and am glad to see it's expanded to several areas throughout the Seattle area. I visited Just Poke this past Friday around lunch time and the place was busy. This location is specifically in the Island Square apartments in a small, narrow retail space. The space is takeout only as there is no seating for dining inside or out. There's only one entrance and exit, so when it gets busy, it can get tight with a long line and narrow space.Just Poke has increased its prices. A large build-your-own bowl is $17, so it's a spendy lunch. For a large bowl, you get three proteins, which they weigh on a scale, so it doesn't matter how large or small a scoop can be. You can choose unlimited toppings, with some for an upcharge, such as kimchi, avocado, etc. For my bowl, I chose the ahi tuna, spicy salmon (a seasonal protein) and spicy tuna. The fishes were all great and what I like about Just Poke compared to some other poke spots is that the fish is marinated with spices and sauces, which makes it more flavorful. And the heat is real. My meal was solid, but the sushi rice was slightly stale and dry. The poke bowls are created in an assembly line, so multiple employees help build your bowl. The last employee who helped me seemed to be in a rush, so closed the lid on one of my bowls before I could ask for toppings. There is a parking garage in the building where Just Poke is located, but there's also a parking lot across the street that the employees said was okay to park at too. Overall, this is a great addition for Mercer Island. There's just some misses here and there, but that's to be expected with any new business.

I placed a phone order on 16 April at 6:07 pm via phone to Mercer Island Location. First when I called the number listed on Google the caller ID says Tidal Artist Haven. The lady answered the phone and just said hello, I had to ask, is this just poke? She said yes and I tried to place my order. The employee did not speak English very well and I told her what I wanted to order. I ordered a rainbow bowl, a spam misubi and a build your own bowl. I asked for Hawaiian ahi, sushi rice, house shoyu sauce, roasted corn, crab salad, crispy garlic, tempura crunchies and sesame seeds. What I actually received was ahi, rice, cucumbers, onions, crunchies. There was no garlic, no corn, no sauce and I do not like cucumbers. When my husband got to the location to pick up the order he said no one there spoke English very well and there were many other customers having issues with their orders being done wrong. We paid over $40 for orders that were not right! In addition today I had severe diarrhea that I can only assume came from this meal. This was my first experience with Just Poke and my last. Customer service, customer communication and order accuracy needs major work.

I'm so glad Just Poke opened a location on Mercer Island. I've been going to their location in Bellevue for the past year. While the protein portions are carefully measured their accompaniments and sides are generous. Just love it!
