Thought I made a review soon after visiting The Junction but I don't see it so here goes.Came in in a Sunday evening, about 5:30, wanting to try their steak special. Two beautiful and nice hostesses greeted me and I was seated just adjacent to their que, other side of the entrance doors.Clearly a sports bar, some folks at the bar and a couple seated at the next table having dinner.Took awhile for my young waitress to get my order. Special was a steak, baked potato, veggies and a salad. She said she'd get the salad out to me but then disappeared for quite a bit. A young man, not waitstaff, brought out my steak plate, turned quickly and left before I could react as to " where was my salad?" Asked the nice hostess to check. Didn't want my dinner to get cold so was done with veggies, potato and half my steak when my salad arrived. Salad was good size, but ordinary dinner salad.Waitress checked on me after checking on couple next to me who I noticed had something amiss with their order, too.My dinner was very good. Couldn't finish entire steak. Baked potato was large plenty of butter and sour cream( which most places you get a very small amount). Had to wait a long time for box and check. Left $5 tip but wanted to leave nothing, because service was terrible and they were not at all busy so I don't know what the hang up was. In conclusion, steak special worth it, service not good.

Saturday 7:00 , not busy and service was horrendous by the server Tatum. The food was good and came out hot. We are regulars, worst service in the past 4 years.

We were there today. The server was nice but the service sucked. I think she was overwhelmed, since the owner is to cheep to add more servers.My problem is, I was charged a large party / auto gratuity of 20%. Our party was 5 people and a 2 year old. WOW, really.I tipped the server 20% more, because, dummy me, trust people. Lesson learned. Never going back.

We went back to the Junction Bar and Grill. Went for dinner and had a new waitress. We got an apology for the lack of services last time. We got the Monday night special a beer and Bu for $15. As always the food was fantastic. This has always been one of the best parts of the Junction. The ambiance is that of a Sports bar with TVs and up to date sports programming on.

If we can grab lunch and a few drinks and get out under $100, then we're happy. We did just that at Junction Bar and Grill in Rancho San Diego.Really cool spot to see your favorite sporting event on TV. They have TVs mounted everywhere. We were there with two other couples for beer, bread and baseball, except none of us actually got bread (okay pita bread).We grabbed a tall table against the wall that had great sightlines to the Padres game. We were promptly greeted by a very sweet and cute Ashlyn, our server. Let me tell you, Ashlyn was on point for our entire stay. Excellent service.Between the six of us we ordered potato skins ($11), pork pot stickers ($7), hummus plate ($9), carne asada taco in a lettuce wrap ($4.75). The pot stickers and hummus were from the every-day, all-day Happy Hour menu.The potato skins were very good. Cheddar and jack cheeses, bacon and chives served with sour cream and ranch dressing. We asked for Cholula as well. Becky prefers a bit less potato in her skins, I thought that they had just the right amount. I prefer them a bit potato-y. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the pot stickers were excellent. Little puffs filled with pork served with a really good sesame-based dipping sauce. For 7 bucks? A bargain.I did not sample the hummus, but our friends really liked it. The pita was not crispy as some places serve it and that was a bonus. The plate included a pile of Kalamata olives and chunks of Feta cheese.Our friend who had the carne asada taco loved it. She didn't want a tortilla, so Ashlyn highly recommended the lettuce wrap. She said that she orders it that way so our friend followed suit and loved it. She was still talking about the next day.Three couples all with meals and plenty of drinks. All three were out of there under a hundo.Junction is a cool spot. We'll be back.

I'm pretty happy about their new location. I tried the old location before and both my husband and I were not impressed. Especially the Fish & Chips are so tiny, but we ordered different things this time, which are French dip, wedge salad and bread sticks. It was very nice. I also love the atmosphere here. Probably we will come back here.

Take-out you will most likely get shafted. It's happened to us twice. The cooks throw the food together like slop. Under cooked, they don't read the side notes (dangerous if you have allergies) and the folks who pack it up don't confirm if all the items are in the bag before handing it to you. Two out of the three times we have ordered pick up; It's been a huge mess and we receive the same exact excuse. "We're really busy" well if they're gonna use that as a reason why they don't serve quality food for pick up orders stop taking pick up orders. Lisa the manager gave us a partial refund of $45 out of a $124 order :/ ya thanks! Two trips due to packing us up half our order the first time and then we take this junk home.
