Jun Sushi and Bento

I'll keep it short and sweet. This spot is the best sushi place in Bellingham. I eat here once a week, the Bellingham roll is the best roll in both price and quality you will get around town--fresh salmon with lots of crunchy veggies surrounding it. As far as service Jun is super friendly and the only one who makes the rolls so there is great quality control... the space is admittedly a little small but it gives it a warm intimate ambiance...

Mmm sushi is one of my favorite foods! I was excited to try this place after so many recommendations from friends. We went on a very busy night, but the staff was kind and offered us free miso on the house for the long wait. I was very pleased with bento box and the Boulevard Roll was excellent!!! Salmon is one of my favorite fish for a sushi roll and the smoked salmon in the middle and regular salmon on top paired perfectly together. Not the best place for a sit down meal. Limited space for seating and unfortunately the table we sat at had a VERY sticky surface (my paper napkin stuck on the table). Not sure if it was the cleaner or if it was dirty before we sat down. A little pricey meal overall, but the quality is definitely there. I recommend this place as a perfect option for take-out.

The pictures here made the place look majestic and maybe it's my outlook of life but the place is very small with around 4 tables and a bar set across the place with bar stools. We didn't mind that since we were hungry and their prices were justified. The service was good. When we walked in, it was just one man running the show and it seemed liked whatever was ordered ahead of you got made first instead of all the sushi's together or however else restaurants would do it. So you pretty much have to wait until the table ahead of you receives all their food. There was someone else who worked there that walked in later so it went by a bit faster. We tried 2 sushi rolls, and an appetizer. Pictures posted and as you can see, the presentation was uncalled for. Didn't realized we were in for a treat visually as well. Once I saw the place, I didn't have high hopes for presentation and taste but I was proved wrong and delightfully so. If I'm ever in town again, I will be going back!

Great sushi! Was a perfect choice for a daddy daughter date night. Especially enjoyed the Salmon nigri, and the Bellingham roll was fun.

OMG... I can only go sooo long before "needing" my sushi fix! After all these yrs. Jun maintains his pride/"knack" for quality ingreds & above others in marrying the true Asian flavors. In other words BEST in our part of the world!!!!Take a look @ the "menu" & it's apparent, serving something for all diners!

Very good presentation and taste. Fresh sushi and looked amazing. Will be back again! They went the extra mile to make it look absolutely amazing and very friendly staff.

I just experienced one of the worst dining experiences of my life and I'm 74 years old!The table was dirty. The service was horrendous. The Sushi Deluxe, was the polar opposite of fresh. And I've put together more creative presentations for stray cats! For $29.00, I, probably should've just sent it back. But,at my age and in this day and age, I opted to write this. If it makes a single reader stay away, it'll be worth it.

Food tasted amazing and was presented in such a beautiful way. Definitely coming back. Cool spot. Owner was nice and gave us a free miso just cause which was very kind. Food tasted fresh and price was reasonable. Overall 10/10

So much care put into the rolls. Owner is always there to ensure you will get the best quality service. You may read that it is slow but that is only when they are busy. The owner is the only person who crafts these gorgeous rolls and can only make so many at a time. 2 specialty and a classic is the the perfect amount of food. Absolutely worth the wait! Easily the best sushi in Bellingham!

Some of the worst service I have had at a restaurant. Rude, took forever, and was chastised by the gentleman and told to order something else next time. Overpriced, too, for what it is. Will never go back.
