Jules Maes Saloon

Popped into Jules Maes the other evening for a night cap, only to get kicked out by yet another rude bartender (see previous review) because I had a birthday and my license was expired by a day. I provided proof from WSDOT showing the renewal was in tact and my license active, but it didn't matter. With so many other saloon/dive bar options close by, don't bother with this place. The other reviews about shit service are legit. Won't be back. By the way I'm 36 so.... it's not like I'm trying to fool anyone haha

Fun way to spend the evening! The area around this bar had a ton of fun eateries but this spot is worth venturing into and cruising around, especially if you enjoy history and quirk.

While looking for a new place to do brunch in Geogretown Seattle's oldest bar, Jules Maes popped up. The brunch menu was super small, but it had stuffed hashbrowns on it and that is something I had to have!Super easy parking on a Saturday morning, I thought I was going to be the first person, but there was already a full table...good sign I'm in the right place. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely kept the saloon vibe while it's clearly been somewhat updated and doesn't feel dumpy. This bar is much larger than I give it credit for - go back past the bathrooms and you get several arcade games and a performance stage! Could be an interesting place to catch a show.I went with stuffed hashbrowns with mushrooms. It came out super hot and while I was disappointed visually, the flavours were great and I'm eat it again. Interesting sounding cocktails with rotating specials.Overall a great place to come!

This place is bomb y'all. My wife and I ordered a chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, and mozzarella sticks to go. While I was waiting, the bartender was attentive and provided world class customer service despite me coming in looking like I was ready to go to the beach. The music and vibe while I waited for the food was on point. The food is incredible, wasn't expecting it to be this good. Even the tater tots are amazing and I rarely eat them. We'll definitely be back when our friends come and visit.

Boss said, "find a bar for good food open now" so, Yelp to the rescue! Had to wait for them to open, but it was worth it!We all had salads, mine chicken the rest steak. Impressed the cook wanted to know how to cook the steaks, but even more so was he checked in about the dressing requests too!Service was great for only the cook & bartender but it was when they 1st opened & mid week!The ambiance was expected as the claim of being the oldest bar in Seattle? The bar itself was vintage, well loved, by far one of the cool features & attractive!Plenty of seating!

Super neat bar in the Georgetown neighborhood. Made it in for breakfast and it was great. Bartender was awesome the chief was right there in the open. They have music on the weekends definitely a great bar for the locals to hang out in.

Yeah, fun joint. Feels like old Seattle to me. Is it old? Or is it made to look old? I don't know. Maybe I'll look it up. But for now, I'll assume it's genuine.

The food and drinks were good. Service was terrible. No one came to take out order. After having to go to the bar to order, we actually sat and watched out food ready at the counter for 10 minutes eventually taking it off the window ourselves.

Getting better again! Awesome bartender. Does this get it to eighty five characters?

Probably one of the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had! It's a must try they are massive so sharing is not a problem. The turkey Bacon melt was also delicious. I definitely recommend!
