Amazing place really. View and menu. The music was way too loud throughout the whole restaurant. The fish were cooked plain, but the sides were 100/10 The server was very nice and accommodating and even got us a birthday treat. It's a hard vote for this because we loved the area and food sides and coffee but the fish should've been done better and the music should not sound like a club - I'd like to give a 3.5 if I couldMac and cheese side, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, GARLIC FRIES amazing

My husband and I came here for our one year anniversary (got married at Tower 23) exactly a year ago and had the absolute worst experience ever for our anniversary dinner! To start it took at least 15 minutes to put our drink order in. The girl working didn't state her name or say hi just asked "can I get you a drink or appetizer". The drinks took forever to come out - multiple bartenders and bar backs working with maybe 10 tables filled to have to wait that long.... Our drinks were brought out 20 minutes later our server came out to ask if we wanted to order a meal.. of course we came for a nice dinner... My husband ordered the ribeye and the best way to compare it would be a steak from the airport that tasted microwaved. The Brussels and mashed potatoes were both great and honestly the best thing about the meal lol!Not once did our server come by to ask how our meal was, we had to ask for refills, ask for a box to take my steak home etc.The best part after she brought the box I asked for was did we want dessert or our check lol. At that point we asked for the check and had her hover over us as we tried to pay. Safe to say worst place to choose for a "nicer upscale" dinner on your anniversary. Hopefully management starts to read these reviews and takes action with their customer service skills before they ruin someone else's night with beyond sub par food and service.

I don't get why this place has such high ratings. I visited this establishment for lunch on a Tuesday around noon. Not busy at all, but the service absolutely SUCKED. The food was ok, not worth the price tag they put on. I'm assuming they get the good ratings based off of being right on PB from those tourists. The server I had (on my receipt, his name was listed as "Julio" but who knows) was an older man who had blonde (dyed) hair with horrible attitudes. Everything about him sucked. Never coming back- save your $$$s and go elsewhere.

The good: staff was nice, outdoor seating, and food was visually appealing.The bad: bland food, understaffed so service was really slow, drinks were bad.I would not come here again.Bloody Mary - tasted like tomato juiceSpa Day - tasted like old cucumbersBiscuits and gravy - didn't taste like anything, very bland.

I recently dined at JRDN and had a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, particularly the roulette roll and the short rib bucatini.The restaurant's location near the beach offers a gorgeous view, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and the stunning setting make it well worth the cost. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal by the beach.

We love to travel to San Diego/mission beach and when we come here we HAVE to go to JRDN at least 2-3 times during our trip. The atmosphere is the best with the ocean views, service is amazing, and the food is perfect. They used to have the best chocolate croissant bread pudding that was to die for but the pastry chef went to Boston, however if they ever get it back it is a must get. Sushi is perfect, and we cannot recommend enough.

Always a great time here with beautiful views from the outside tables. Service was top notch

We were staying at the Tower23 Hotel above so we decided to try out JRDN. We were starving for breakfast and it was right below so it was convenient for us. The atmosphere is very modern and hip on the inside, and the patio is right on Pacific Beach. We decided to sit outside. Our server was barely seen. Not helpful, attentive, or friendly. It was a younger girl, don't remember her name. The food was also pretty mediocre. My coffee was quite strong. My parents got the JRDN Breakfast and they thought it was just okay. My biscuits & gravy were greasy and unappetizing. There was an 8 inch long black hair in our food. We all have blonde or brown hair, so it wasn't us.Convenient location, beautiful atmosphere, below average food and service. Wouldn't come back.

Came here for a sunset dinner but unfortunately it ended up drizzling and we couldn't watch the sunset. I made the reservation outdoors a month prior and thankfully the hostess was able to sit us inside. However we were sat right under a vent so it was quite chilly.The oysters were a great deal and we went at 5pm so they still had happy hour for drinks! The short rib bucatini was delicious

Jrdn has been one of our favorite dining spots for many years, and we enjoy taking friends and visitors there for lunch or dinner to enjoy the lovely Cali beach atmosphere, the always friendly service, and great food. However a recent lunch there was ruined by excessively loud music blasting onto the patio. It was so loud I had to shout my order at our server. Repeated requests to lower the music made no difference until our fourth request -which was ungraciously received by a manager and then grudgingly lowered. It was a very disappointing experience for one of our favorite spots and I hope that they rethink this new policy of blasting music outside during lunch, otherwise we will have to rethink where we take our family and friends for lunch in the future.
