Best "Old Fashioned" I've ever had. It pairs well with chocolate.

Decided to check out one of these food truck days at JP Trodden with my whiskey-fan husband. The place was packed, and I advise anyone going with plans to get food at the food truck come EARLY because the line was miles long and by 3 they were almost out of food (website says the food truck is there til 5pm, but even one of the waiters said they usually run out a lot earlier). We got the flight, a Mule, a half pour of their 10 year, and a small old Fashioned. After a few sips of my mule, I realized to my horror and disgust that there was LIPSTICK on my glass. Vaccinated or not, I was disgusted. I took it back to the counter and they just said "oh, we'll make you a new one" and they did, but they said nothing about "sorry" or how something like that could slip by them. I couldn't help but question how clean any of the glasses were after that. The drink itself was ok, nothing spectacular. The mule definitely better than the old fashioned which I wasn't impressed by at all. The 10 yr was also ok, probably my favorite of all of them but definitely not worth the $300 price tag. When we went to leave, I was expecting an apology and even a comp-ed drink, but they didn't say a w. Glad we checked it out, but I'm still grossed out even today. I won't be back. Check your glasses here!!

Very cool place with very delicious whisky! We were super impressed with the flavor of every single option. The red label was our favorite and we had to grab a couple bottles of maple syrup too. Very happy we came here! Best Washington whisky I have had the pleasure of trying so far! The new building is really nice and the people doing the tasting were quite knowledgeable and happy to talk to us! We will have to come back!

I stopped in at JP Trodden to pick up some bourbon maple syrup and a bottle of whiskey for a gift. When we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome and asked if we wanted a tour. This was one of my first distillery experiences and I learned so much. The service was as excellent as their quality of products. These are spirits you want to keep around! One thing I really like about JP Trodden is all of the events they offer throughout the year. I am on their email list (the only send 1-2 emails a month if that) so I can stay informed about all of their cool happenings. They always have great themed events with music and cocktails. If you haven't visited JP Trodden yet get over there, you won't be disappointed!

An exceptionally fun and informative tour was provided by Mara. Nice tastings but a bit short on the pour. They're moving soon to larger space, so good luck on that, their product is very top shelf.

J.P. Trodden Distilling has some of the best bourbon around! I've been wanting to check out JP's since it was formerly located in Woodinville and a friend who's a member raved about this place. But now that I've tasted it for myself, I can see myself returning for more bottles of bourbon. My friends and I were having a wine tasting day in the Maltby area, and decided to check out JP as our last stop. J.P. Trodden Distilling is a small-batch distillery, featuring bourbon whiskeys. The distillery is small, but has enough room for tastings and hanging out. I did the tasting flight, which included three bourbons, one whiskey and a maple syrup! All of the tastings were fantastic, and for anyone who likes dark liquors, JP is a spot to try. I ended up taking home a bottle of the single cask bourbon, but everything is great here. Staff was friendly and accommodating and it should be noted that there were free Seattle Chocolate truffles here! If straight up bourbons aren't your thing, they also have a couple cocktails that feature the bourbon to try. This was an awesome visit and one of many!

We were passing by and decided to stop for a tasting flight. The minus one star was for the very limited snack menu. Add more, like Marcona almonds, good crackers, Spanish mix, dry cheese, etc. to go with the tasting. We liked the selections and ended up buying the maple syrup because it was phenomenal. Out of the whiskeys we both liked the rye the best. It was a nice place to visit for an afternoon,

Stopped in to swap a Christmas gift tshirt and spent two hours tasting whiskey, a snack and talking with Mara. Great unexpected adventure. Nice tasting room, good whiskey and Mara was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the bourbons and the rye was fantastic. Picked up a bottle of rye and maple syrup then went home and made an old fashioned. Next time I'll try one of the cocktails. Had a great time, will definitely go back and will definitely recommend.

Bit of a wonky system for Passport holders! There are two tasting options. The first is free for everyone regardless of whether you have the passport or not. The second is $10 without the passport, $5 with the passport..... I can completely understand why smaller companies on the passport would do this, though this is the first time we've encountered it in all our passport visits (about 35) this year. The fact that they still processed passports for people who get the free option was also a bit strange.Beautiful products but the service left much to be desired. We came in about 30 mins before closing and the place was packed. Took us ages to be served. It was a total zoo and we couldn't get any of the servers attention. Our server was kind and delivered a rote-description very well but couldn't answer any of our questions, claiming she was too new. The other servers completely avoided eye contact, seemed to be exasperated about the crowd, and were (honestly?) a little greasy. At about 4:45 another customer came in and the server said (loud enough for everyone at the counter to hear?) "You're just arriving now?..... Well ok. But THATS IT." way to make customers feel welcome. Very disappointing for a place with some beautiful products.
