Joyride Taco House

Yum. I don't think I need to say more. Every time I go to Joyride, my meal is great. I've gotten the queso, which does have a bit of spice to it but is totally worth it. The flavor is so good. I also love the fried fish tacos, and the green chili chicken burrito is delicious! I had half of it and was stuffed and a few hours later at the rest for a midnight snack, and it once again did not disappoint. The margaritas are also good. You just need to find a flavor you like best. A few friends ordered the churros the last time we went, and those were, ehhhh. The fruity pebble one was okay, but the banana Nutella one had no Nutella flavor, which is what it needed. But overall I always have a good experience and the main meals are always delicious. I will definitely be back.

I love this little neighborhood gem. The atmosphere is so cute and kind of hippie. I tried the taco special of the day and it was ok. I normally stick to the shrimp taco and cucumber salads and they are honestly my favorite. Service was ok; I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy but for some reason it still felt a little slow, I had a great service experience at another location so I was very surprised.

3 stars because I love this place however the last few times I've came the tacos ( carne asada ) is cold . Tortillas are cold too! Service is very good. I love the bartenders and the atmosphere is nice!!Also I told them it was cold , sent it back ( I hate this) And it came back cold lol!! The meat is cold ... it's a taco I expect it to be hot, not cold. It's a taco

Let me start by saying I love joyride. We eat here all the time and it's one of our favorites, but the other night was so bad im looking for anyone to get back to me about our poor experience (hence the 2 stars and not 1). I attempted to contact the restaurant privately but no one responded so posting my review here. We arrived at the bar around 7:30 and it took us 20 minutes to even be recognized and get our drinks, another 15 after that we had to ask for the 3rd time for chips and salsa, only to then see our bartender leaving with her belongings with no acknowledgment that she was leaving. We then waited without drinks for another 15 minutes after our food came out. All said and done it was close to a 2 hour experience for 2 rounds of drinks and food and at the end of it, I was charged about $20 more for our meal on my credit card then the total was. We ordered 2 margaritas, 2 Beers, steeet corn and 1 cheese quesadilla and my credit card charge was $72.76 which is no way the total for what we ordered. I wanted to send this note privately and not post a review to hope to improve upon the experience as we were extremely upset and for the first time ever considered walking out on our meal. I hope you can take this feedback for the future

Good food, nice ambiance (super comfy chairs) and fast service. I really liked the chips. They tasted a little different from the ones you normally get at a Mexican restaurant, in a good way. The salsa and burrito were a little spicy for me but I'm pretty big baby with spicy stuff. Not the best Mexican food I've ever had but I liked it and it was reasonably priced. Even at 5 on Wednesday it was pretty busy! If they take reservations, I'd recommend making them if you're going on a weekend night.

Joyride has changed a bit. They no longer have the amazing happy hour they used to offer as well as the staff seems unhappy. The food is predictable but, I did see some new things added to switch it up again. We tried the fries & cactus fries, we were not impressed with the dipping sauces or flavors. I am not sure if they have new management, but it for sure is not on my rotation of restaurant Choices these days.

Really cool place in downtown Gilbert. Very trendy fun environment. Our server was super friendly and attentive. The decor was really nice and all the staff seemed fun and upbeat. The food was pretty good. Maybe a little more visually appealing than it tasted, however. But definitely not bad. My wife had a few of their tacos - the pork adobada, the standard, and the crispy fish. The positive was they were generous with the meat, but it was a bit salty. I had the green chili chicken burrito. It was pretty good. But also thought it was a bit salty, and couldn't taste the chorizo in it. We also the flinstone churro. That we were not a fan of. It was really dry and hard.Overall, pretty cool spot. Would definitely go back.

the service was absolutely splendid. Issa took care of us, she was so amazing and attentive! Impeccable service, I definitely recommend requesting her. Manager was distant which was the only downfall.

Isa is the BEST server at Joyride! She made our experience memorable and we will be coming back to see her!

Been here a few times and the service has been phenomenal! I mostly sit at the bar and when Abbie is bartending she delivers a top notch service regardless if its pact or not. The drinks and food arrive in a fast manner. The music could be better though.
