Rooftop has seen better days. For $1k per table, maybe get some new cushions that aren't stained. Didn't seem like place was packed and yet held a line outside. Bougie move!

This place is truly lame. The drinks are insanely expensive and the DJ on the rooftop was good but the dj on the actual dance floor (level 2) was so bad tonight (6/8) even though it's a SATURDAY. He was so bad that I'm confused as to how he has a job. There are so many good djs in Chicago but he was killing the vibe. People wanted to dance but when you scanned the dance floor there was almost no movement and any time a song would start to pick up the beat it would cut out and a new song would start slowly.Don't waste your time or money here.

"You want the good news or the bad news"Me and my friend, waited 30 minutes in line just to be told our ID's are fake, I waved over a local Chicago police officer in the mist of all this who inspected our ID's, returned them to us, and said "they can deny you entry if they want too" basically you need a bunch of women with you and then they will not care if you have an ID. Best part is we had a group of 12 woman coming later and we're going to reserve a table. What a bunch of absolute utter losers, went to electric hotel, got way way better service.Fire your chubby egotistical doorman, I made that man take a seat when he tried taking my completely real ID

We came here for some drinks after our anniversary dinner. Mainly wanted to check out the rooftop. Paid to get in just to be told that the rooftop was closed because they didn't have enough staff to keep it open. Don't think I would have paid if I knew this. Other than that, music was great as well as the drinks. Pricey but good.

Stopped in on a Saturday night to ask a question about reserving tables for Sunday. Bouncer/ door person was super rude and acted as if I was bothering him. Keep in mind that the venue was empty and he was being "super selective" with the clientele. Due to his stride we decided not to come back on Sunday, we found a better place

Had a great time @joy district. Our server Taylor was amazing. She was very kind, attentive and thoughtful. Our night was surrounded by good drinks, house/hiphop/reggaeton music.Special shout out to Taylor she really made us feel welcome, and definitely made us feel at home! Her energy really kept us going through later hours of the night!

Great experience, great service, fun atmosphere with some of the best drinks & food in Chicago

We came to Joy for a friends birthday a few weekends ago and had a blast. We went to the frndsonly day party and it definitely hits different when you got a section with all your loved ones. Shout out to the DJs because the music was a hit. Definitely nothing but good vibes in the room. There are a lot of clubs in this city but Joy is def an OG. Tons of space for everyone to hang and party, we'll be back per usual!

Sliders bring us Joy First time eating at Joy District and we got fried chicken sliders with herb fries and they were okay! Not bad, definitely bar food quality which was fine just to get something in us before drinking the night away, which were wonderful the service was fine honestly it's a club I could tell they just wanted to get their day started instead of having to come serve us but we had time to kill! And the ambiance is cute there are two floors and a rooftop! It was a good time once the music started!

The staff was rude, except for the bartenders who were helpful and kind. The rooms were all very small and looked nothing like the pictures. Drinks were overpriced and weak. Paid for tickets before only to be denied and told I need to pay more to enter. No one was attempting to dance. Would never recommend to anyone. A waste of time and money.
