Let's start with the customer service! A-1 the waitress was kind and attentive. She took the time to explain the dishes and ask about food allergies. The food is BOMB! We had the fritters, jerk wings, passion fruit pancakes and oxtails. The flavors are authentic, rich and beautifully presented. I had the bottomless mimosas three different flavors - passion fruit, lychee and mango. You don't want to miss visiting !!

My husband and I stopped by to check out this restaurant. Our server, Necia, was very attentive and informative on suggestions. Great personality. Tasha was the bartender for the evening.... She nailed our drink request with a twist. Food: We ordered the Jerk wings...... They were amazing!!!! Not too spicy with the sweet added. How they were cooked, was on another level.I will definitely return to try other dishes on their menu.

So I really have no complaints about J'ouvert (pronounced zhoo-vehr). My girls and I visited on a Friday night for a late birthday dinner and weren't disappointed. Our server's name was Nikki (not sure of the spelling), and she was wonderful. The drinks we tried were the Paint + Powder, J'ouvert Paloma, and the Rum Punch. All delicious and I'd order them all again. The After Work Fridays specials are good. It looked to be a good selection of what I assume are their medium-to-most popular appetizers and cocktails. From that menu, we ordered the Spicy Jerk Wings. We got the Cheddar and Jalapeno Cornbread as a second appetizer. For Entrees, we ordered Jerk Chicken w. Rice and Peas, Teriyaki Steak w. Fries, and Escovitch Snapper. All very good! The only downside to our visit was a very large event going on in the restaurant at the same time, with a loud DJ and a large crowd of people standing with a party vibe. I didn't drop my rating of the restaurant though, because I understand that's not their normal ambiance. Parking is in the parking deck/garage as the whole area and the restaurant is right across the street from Tongue & Groove nightclub.I would definitely visit again for dinner - on a non-event night - and I'd love to try brunch as well. Would recommend!

Went for brunch on Sunday. It was empty at 2pm. They close at 4pm. DJ was there, he was ok. Played random stuff. The drinks were decent. Food awful, service not the best. I ordered the chicken that supposedly is smoked for hours, it had no such taste. I did not finish it. Plantains were ok. The food was not piping hot either. We were literally one of only two parties in the entire restaurant, it took him 30mins to ask us if we were ready to order and if we needed drinks. He was nice, but not very attentive. Took 40mins to get all the food. And some of our orders were missing items. Social media is a lie. They give these influencers the best service and food to market the regular folks to spend money, just to be disappointed. Oh, let's not forget automatic gratuity. I spent over $65 for 1 drink and a piece of chicken with a carrot, literally. Not worth it. Being Jamaican, it definitely didn't give authentic either. I had no expectation, and they met it. There is limited street parking. You have to park in the deck which they do not validate. I would not recommend.

Being a Trini, when I first heard there was a restaurant named "J'ouvert" it automatically made the list of spots I had to check out. The restaurant is in an area that has ample paid parking options and when you walk in the space isn't large, but they made good use of the space, and there is a decent amount of seating. I must also say, they did a great job with the décor and different colors. The bar is very small, but I sat there and did the bottomless brunch which came with bottomless mimosas (FTW!). The brunch options were also decent, with some items being better than others, but the true star was the Hennessy Blueberry Pancake. I put a combination of the blueberry sauce and the passion fruit sauce on mine and it was delicious! Jordan was my bartender and he was phenomenal! Friendly, attentive, and efficient. There was a live DJ when I went and the music he played was the perfect mix of Soca, Dancehall, and old school and 90s/00s RnB. Overall, I had a good first experience and I would definitely return.

Thank you Taylor and Jordan for your service! Had a great Saturday morning here. They opened a few months ago - not super busy YET! No wait to be seated. We had the buffet which is $50 per person which is great. Bottomless mimosas included. As a business owner I recognize the small details and I commend this business for just that - decor is thoughtful and vibrant. Food is tasty and made my palate happy. I would return and highly recommend.

I'm so glad that we took a chance and tried a new-to-us restaurant during my little sister's visit from Memphis, TN to celebrate her birthday. The decor, professional and warm demeanor of our waitress, the delicious, yet deceptive pancakes (they're small, yet mighty enough to fill you up quickly!)...all of this made for a lovely brunch experience that we'd gladly repeat.A bonus: we met the owner and learned that she's from the island of St. Lucia. Same as my little sister's mother. :-)

Great food and full of flavor. Friendly and timely service at the bar with a little history lesson on the different brands of alcohol. Really nice experience and decor.

Decided to try this place on a whim , it's been open for 6 months . The food was great and the ambiance was great . The waiter I had was really sweet also . The only take away was the price . I went in during brunch hours on a Sunday around 3:30pm , and I ordered the jerk chicken plate which came with veggies only for $28 . Rice & peas are side dishes to add as well as plantain which I got because usually it comes together, at least the rice does but they charge extra for a cup of rice. & I ordered the rum punch . They automatically add 20% gratuity as well. This food is good but it wasn't worth 78$ for 1 plate of food and 1 drink. But other than that I'd say try it out , I'll be back during regular hours to try something different on the menu because during brunch days they don't serve anything other than what's on the brunch menu so keep that in mind .

I've been wanting to try this new Caribbean restaurant since it's opening earlier this year. So, for my friend's birthday, it was the perfect opportunity. We went for brunch this past Sunday. They have a live DJ on Sundays. The restaurant is decorated beautifully in tropical hues both inside and on the outside patio. It wasn't a busy Sunday so our server was extremely attentive plus they have table time limits so that may have played into it as well. The service was very good. We ordered a variety of food and cocktails. My friend even made one of their mocktails into a cocktail and loved it. Our favorites were the whole snapper, the blueberry pancakes and the steak and eggs. The jerk wings were spicy, which I like but they were just OK to me. I paired them with the rice and peas and plantain. The rice and peas could be paired with a gravy selection. I like gravy on my rice and peas but I know everybody doesn't. The portion sizes of all the food from appetizers to entrées to sides weren't on point. All in all, I think this restaurant has good vibes and good food. Oh yeah, and there is ample parking. Nice addition to the Lindbergh area.
