Fun, quirky taqueria in Lake City. One of the best Mexican food options in what's a pretty limited part of town for good food. My wet burrito was made fresh. It was HUGE. Definitely two meals unless you are Joey Chestnut. I admit the chicken was a little sketchy. I might go for the pork or asada next time. But overall a good place to get a Mexican fix. Also looking forward to trying the tacos!

Stopped in for lunch on a workday. The decor is..eclectic. It's like going to your aunt's house, you know, the one who shops only on QVC and gives you a "cool" kitchen gadget for Christmas.Menu is written on posterboard, and has standard items: burritos, tacos, tortas, and plates.I ordered the beef torta to go. On the plus side, the beef was fresh as was the bread. The flavor was not what I was expecting. My idea of a torta is based on my SoCal experiences, so I was looking for the traditional carne asada flavor with the hits of limon, but alas, it was not to be.The beef was on the salty side, with an almost soy sauce-like flavor. The bread was grilled nicely. I would have liked a touch more avocado with a little less mayo, but that could just be me.All in all, it was just okay. It wasn't what I wanted it to be, but it wasn't awful. I'd try it again.

I only tried the burrito but it was not good. There was bones and full on chicken skin. The portion was huge which is good but just a slimy mess. They seemed pretty lacks on Covid restrictions, so if you are on the more careful side and want to try this place I would order ahead and just pick up. Staff was nice.

This place is awesome. I moved here from San Diego looking for some Mexican food that wasn't bland or just plain wrong. This is neither the Cali Mexican or the TexMex most of us are used to...I'm guessing Jose is from further south, or maybe he just has some secret family recipes. Either way, it's not exactly what I was looking for but mmmmmm is it good.Food: Freshly made and tasty! The carne asada burrito is my favorite, but I've liked everything here...unlike virtually everywhere else if you order rolled tacos, you get some fresh, delicious rolled tacos, not something that looks like it came off an assembly line.Eating-in: There's only a handful of small tables and the place feels a bit cramped. Drinks are limited to whatever's in the fridge: usually coke, sidral mundet, sangria flavored soda, a few Mexican nectars, and water.Service: Great, but there's only going to be two people working there...so not great if you have a group of 10 (and like I said, not much seating either). I think it's probably a married couple who own/run the place, but they are both super nice. Conclusion: Great place for some take-out. Not the same style as most Mexican in the area, but absolutely delicious.

READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE EATING HERE!I ordered beef tacos. Waste of money. I'm latina and I KNOW what my carne asada tacos should taste like. The carne asada wasnt even "grilled" nor cooked thoroughly. The meat looked grey and tasted like it was drenched in Goya's version of soy sauce. Terrible, the cook didnt even bother to season the meat with anything else. Bland, just horrid it ruined my appetite and believe me was I starving. I read the reviews and learned that the cook and owner is from Peru .... no descrimination but probably why the tacos aren't authentically mexican nor taste as they should. The best part of the meal was the Jarrito lol.I usually give hole in the wall spots chances b/c they usually have the best food......but this one was definitely a FAIL!

W0W. Best tacos in the area. Straight up. This take out order was timely and the phone call lasted all of 10 seconds. When I picked it up the staff was pleasant and when I took the food home it was warm, delicious, and evident that I made the right decision. Seriously, this a place that never lets me down. I'm impartial and I think this is a wonderful business. Been inside twice and ordered take out three times now. Thank youuuuu

Not authentic Mexican food. Meat didn't seem to be seasoned at all in both items I ordered. Breakfast burrito which was made with "chorizo", most of the burrito were filled with thick chunks of potato. However it is a large portion. 2nd item was an asada quesadilla. Colleague told me he didn't enjoy it so much and it was unseasoned as well. Won't be back.

I went inside and it looked kind of dirty, the person making the tacos was really nice. I ordered 2 tacos Al pastor and the food was not very seasoned and had a weird texture. Overall would not come back.
