Stop reading this and just go there now. Support a small single-woman run business. Check instagram for schedule updates. I am so glad this place is not close to me. Literally licked both containers clean. Pure Deliciousness.Sushi Bake (imitation crab) Coconut Ubi (shrimp)

This is more of a 3.5 star but I'm rounding it up since the person is really nice. We came here with the intention of trying out her unique items as we saw interesting things on her Instagram. However, due to some post event, we were just able to grab a quick bite.We got 2 drinks:Ube lemonade --- I like this one as it's not super sweet and it was refreshingCoco refresher --this was supposed to be the less sweet one according to the owner but I disagree , However I do like the little hint of saltiness in the drinkInari tofu pockets with imitation crab and shrimp --- this was good. A little too saucy for my taste but it was fresh and good.My biggest critique was how long it took. Just for those 3 items, we waited almost 30 minutes...I'm not sure how long it would take if we order other stuff or if it's a busy day as it seems to be made fresh to order...

APIHM #12: Being a Fil-Am, it's hard to find Filipino food that isn't big companies. I took it to Yelp to find Filipino food and Jolorene's Kitchen popped up. It is located in a food hall which I have never been to before. It's called the "Spice Bridge" which had Jolorene's as well as 3 other vendors. I loved the sense of community I felt right when I walked in-- flyers about what is going on, business cards, informational and educational pieces hanging on the wall, art pieces and more. This spot is woman-of-color-owned and Asian-owned which I lovvvveeee to support! I tried their San Nicolas Plate, Sushi Bake, Vegetable and Chicken Lumpia, Halo-Halo, Ube Lemonade and POG Italian Soda. All was SO good! I love the Asian-Fusion flavors in the traditional foods as well as the authentic flavors. Jolorene was also super sweet! She was very personable and you can tell she is such a hard worker. We also were served by her husband, John, who was just as nice as her. You can really feel that they are a hard working team when it comes to this business. I am not familiar with the area this business is located in so I had never passed it. Now I know it's here, and it's so yummy, I will definitely be back!!

Surprisingly really delicious food in a food hall. It was unique because I haven't been to a food hall like this in quite awhile. Service was good and I loved the Sushi Tostadas. It had a delicious sauce on top that made it very flavorful!

Jolorene's Kitchen is a piece of home in the form of my favorite love language, food. She highlights Filipino comfort food and offers other Asian & Pacific Islander cuisines-- Japanese, Hawaiian, and Southeast Asian. I enjoy trying something new every time I've stopped by! I also appreciate the concept of Spice Bridge, a nonprofit that is a food business incubator program that highlights BIPOC & immigrant chefs to start and grow their businesses.

This is such a cool spot inside the Spice Bridge Hall. We got the Aburi platter and two of the Sushi Tostadas. The aburi sushi wasn't as seared as k would have liked but it was still good and flavorful! The Sushi Tostadas were amazing! We got the Alki and the Golden Gardens! Both tostadas were amazing! Super flavorful and had that lovely crunchy base. I'd love to go back and try their other dishes!

We came in straight after we checked into our airbnb to get a sushi bake and found this place on Yelp. Jolorene's Kitchen is part of a rotating space where all the business owners here rotate throughout the week. They are all women-owned businesses and I just love this idea and wish they'd bring it to my city! We ordered a sushi bake and the ube churros, and she gave us complimentary ube lemonades too!! I wish I took pics of the churros - they were so good we scarfed them down too quickly!! The sushi bake hit the spot, but the ube lemonade is truly an experience. It's like a dessert in your mouth - not to sweet and perfectly sour! I felt like I was drinking a lemon bar with ube icing or something. SO GOOD! Plus, she was such a sweetie and she even gave me recs on places to visit in WA! Would def love to come back one day and see her success!! Thank you Jolorene!

I was debating about writing this review, but here I go. I've been wanting to try this place for a while! I love sushi bakes..in Hawaii we call it sushi rice, well I do anyway. But I ordered a sushi bake, wanted the chicken wings but they didn't have any, rather it wasn't on the menu. I was gonna order the 7in rectangle but he said it was like a water bottle size so I said just give me the 10 inch. I paid almost $19. It was good, but it wasn't $19 good. About an inch later of rice, and very little crab(imitation), maybe like a stick that was broken in pieces, and some little bay shrimp. I was expecting a lot of meat considering the price. I just don't like to waste my money. I was disappointed! I measured the pan and it was 7inches. So what did I pay for??? I'm all for supporting small businesses but DAMN!!
