Look, I got the chef's choice (7 courses) and did the wine pairing. Normally I would take a picture of dessert, but frankly, that 7th serving of wine had me acting a fool and forgetting that my camera eats first. I loved this place. I loved that it was so plain and deli-like. I loved that you could watch the chefs cook behind what looked like an ice cream counter. I loved the gen Z-hipster vibe servers. It was just great. The only 2 notes that husband and I had:1. The fish (was it halibut?) was under seasoned or needed a bunch more sauce or something. It felt slightly unfinished. 2. The pork shoulder needs a different color sauce. Like white. It tasted great but looking at it reminded me of grandma's meatloaf. Which sort of killed the fine dining vibe in my opinion. I'm giving 5 stars still because it was all very edible and just needs minor tweaks. My husband and I agreed that if you could get those two dishes figured out you will have Michelin looking at you.

This place really disappointed me based on the other reviews I read. We had dinner on a Saturday night and there were several strange things happening even when trying to book the reservation. When we tried to book, Resy showed no availability so I chose Notify to see if anything popped up later. Around 3:30PM, I got the Resy alert that a table might be available and there were tables available every 15 minutes from open to close time. It seems like they must not open up all of the tables for reservations until right before service. We took a 7:30 table. When we arrived, they were already out of oysters, and they were out of 2 of 6 entrees. This seems like poor inventory management to be out of so many items early on a Saturday night and was disappointing because we really wanted oysters. The service was OK, but indifferent. We ordered a Bottle of wine and they poured the first glass, but then didn't pour for us again even when they were standing at our table watching us pour our own wine. The gnocchi entree was not hot, although the flavors were good. It was also pretty small with very little crab. The halibut was a nice size but the sides it was served with were really more like garnishes: 1 mushroom and 1 sliver of dry, unseasoned grilled cabbage. There were no starch or vegetable sides on the menu to order either. The bathroom hallway is behind the restaurant and still under construction and the women's bathroom had no soap, but I couldn't find anyone to let them know. Overall, we spent about $200 for 2 people and were left pretty disappointed.

I was in Coronado and checked yep for quality dining. Zero regrets. Honestly it felt like my own cooking (i used to chef). No rules just really fresh ingredients and ideas that make sense but are surprising. Jack (chef i think?) and Jack (waiter?) were awesome and helpful. The scallop was absurdly fresh, chilled, served possibly in its own shell with contrasting flavors. The tuna crudo was an awesome twist on bluefin sashimi also with wonderful contrasting flavors. Lupe de meir (I used to prepare this for a famous client daily) was great, contrast of texture of the skin and fish, and the sauces were subtle and made the flavor complete. Bread and butter was like eating donuts. Just so good, must get it.What really surprised me was the dessert. So simple looking and sounding. Vanilla ice cream. With Saba and Olive oil drizzle, almonds and walnuts. Absurdly good combo. So good it's going to be in my home kitchen now. And Jack enthusiastically gave me a bottle of Saba! Stating he just wanted me to have that experience. This was like eating in the home of a great chef. Ill be back.

My husband and I absolutely love Jolie. We've been here a number times for special occasions and celebrations over the past 8 months and it is a really lovely vibe in there. The service at Jolie is impeccable and we love catching up with Jack when we visit. The food is also amazing and consistently delicious. We have loved every single dish we have gotten here over that time. Our favorite appetizers we get are the oysters, Peruvian scallops, Cacio e Pepe arancini, crispy cauliflower, and bread and butter. We've had the loup de mer, halibut, scallops, gnocchi and short rib before and all were cooked to perfection. We would 100% recommend Jolie to anyone looking for amazing food, great service, and good vibes.

Jolie had one of the most delicious meals I've had recently and it was super easy to snag a reservation!! It's such a charming and cozy spot for a date or girls night. The kitchen is kind of connected to the seating area, and it's a fun ambiance! I wish I got a glass of wine while I was there. It looked like they had such a nice and unique selection! Some highlights of the meal were the Pan Seared Gnocchi and Crispy Pork Belly. I had never tried rabbit before, so loved having that opportunity with the gnocchi! It was really creamy and rich. The Crispy Pork Belly was amazing because of the textures and mix of savory and sweet flavors! The Beef Tartare was nice too, but the tomatoes stole the show from the other flavors. So happy we tried this spot, really hoping it gets the hype it deserves!!

Tonight was our first time here at Jolie. For starters, we enjoyed six delicious Kumamoto Oysters. For dinner, we tried the melon & shrimp salad and the pork belly. The salad was nicely blended with the sweet melony flavor, shrimp and a little kick from sliced jalapeño peppers. The pork belly was crisp and plump topped with fried/baked kale. Wow! Loved the meal with glasses ordered and white wines recommend by our server, Jack. Next time, we wanna try the "Trust the Chef" meal with wine pairings.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was interesting and delicious. Loved the shared plates approach that allowed us to try multiple items. We agreed our favorite was the fried cauliflower appetizer but all was very good. The service was excellent, many thanks to Jack for his good suggestions and they were kind enough to give us complementary champagne to start our meal and celebrate our anniversary.

Originally came to Jolie for small bites and ended up doing their "Trust the Chef" tasting menu of seven courses ($75 per person), in which we really had to trust the process! We were assured before changing our minds that most of the course was what we were already ordering and just went with it. They also sell a variety of wines here that you can grab and go as I witnessed an order pick up. Our courses in order were:Kumamoto Oysters & Peruvian Scallops (5/5): Came with two each and the oysters came with caviar. They were nice starters and were bright flavors.King Salmon Crudo (5/5): The king salmon is like butter! The softest salmon I've ever tried. This one was my favorite.Steak Tartare (5/5): My second favorite item. The tartare was served on a thick sourdough toast and sat on top of fresh tomatoes. Cacio e Pepe Arancini (5/5): Had hints of truffle flavor and very rich in flavor! Sea Bass (4/5) - This was their substitute for the lump crab cakes. It was pretty fresh and I enjoyed the capers on top with the lemon. The fish skin was fried evenly and remained hot and crispy.Duck Confit (4.5/5) - This was served on a bed of fig jam and lentils. It was already flavorful on its own but the fig jam went well with the duck.Panna Cotta (4/5) - Topped with grapes and peanuts. This combination went pretty well together as well as the layer of caramel I believe provided a lot of sweetness. We were quite full towards the end but extremely satisfied. Since we tried a little bit of everything I'm not sure when my next visit will be, however, the tasting course proves that Jolie produces amazing dishes. The ambience could use a little more as there is no natural lighting or any windows, but the food is spectacular coming from such a a limited kitchen space. My favorites lean more towards their starters so I would recommend any of the ones I got in the course. The staff was friendly, helpful, not to mention knowledgeable about the menu and gave a great experience.
