Johnny's Pizza & Subs

Johnny's has become a go-to delivery spot for me even over in JP solely for their fried chicken. I'd had Roadie's Fried Chicken before from another pizza joint up in Somerville and it's truly the best you can get from a takeout spot anywhere in the city - juicy and tender, crispy and flavorful, not too greasy, and it always arrives hot. I've had a smattering of other items on their menu - steak & cheese, pizza, etc. and been happy with all of it. No better or worse than any other pretty good pizza/sub shop. As these long days of quarantine wear on, Johnny's will continue to be a regular take out spot for our house (especially cause I find myself craving fried chicken at least once a month).

I don't understand why they don't have 4 stars bc this place has bombbbbbbbbbb crunchy flavorful fried chicken! This will now be my go-to place when the craving for fried chicken hits! So amazing!

Great local and friendly service. Food is amazing. I've had the buffalo chicken wrap, steak and cheese, chicken ziti broccoli ( the best in f**** boston!), cheeseburger and fries, pizza and so much more. To be honest their pizza Isnt all that good... at all. But everything else seems to be on point. SERIOUSLY!! They only got a 4 because I think there pizza is horrible other than that everything else is amazing!!

Amazing pizza, the best Fried Dough I've had in a long time!! Fast service, and ppl are mindful of social distancing. Need a quick bite, right across from Ashmost T!!

The most nastiest place I never walking in here because the service sucks from the jump that's why I stop going there so today I go in there trying to get some chicken and there wasn't what I wanted. I ask for some tenders she said two for 3 dollars and change I said can I have an extra for that price sense yaw have 20 minutes to close. I run a restaurant I never denied my costumers for extra it's just food at the end of the day if you don't get to sale that gets throwing away unless she was trying to take the rest home to her family the worse thing is she was Spanish and I love Spanish people they love taking care their own people plus help other people out their circle I'm just not gonna eat there anymore.

I tried fried chicken in every city I've been to and this place was definitely one of the best fried chicken I've had. Not a 5 bc it took quite a while.

Going back & forth between 3&4 stars. They have a surprisingly varied menu for the size of their shop. I've had their chicken tenders, fried chicken, gyro, and now their pepperoni pizza!The chicken tenders are delicious! Even though I came late in the evening, the tenders were still moist inside and crispy on the outside. On another day, I got fried chicken, and it's possible I let it sit too long, but it wasn't as good as the tenders. The gyro wasn't bad, but it isn't something to go out of your way for. The pizza on the other hand is cheesy, greasy, and tasty. It's not gourmet, but it's filling and satisfies that pizza craving. They also have different slushy flavors, melon being one. The service on a busy night can be a bit confusing, it doesn't help with groups of teenagers deciding what they can afford with their pooled money! They take cash only, but there's an atm inside. Only a few tables & a couple seats at a counter for customers, so more ideal for take out or quick bite. Prices are pretty reasonable, there are some deals on pizza slices & special of the day.

The chicken man, @Mr.Ghost_Pepper (IG), approves. The flake is crunchy, the meat is moist and tender. The is equal part crunchy crust and moist slice. Your hunger is satisfied whether or not you order is large or small. Enjoy Johnny's!

This place fucking sucks. The service was so bad the sign said "20 min wait" & all we orders was two burgers chicken tenders & fries. MULTIPLE PEOPLE came in before us & got their food in no time. I'm convinced they forgot about us & we were their biggest order of that hour. The chicken was SO FREAKING DRY. I wasted more than 40 mins of my life at this place it LITERALLY MADE ME DOWNLOAD YELP TO MAKE THIS REVIEW. The ambiance? fuck the ambiance.
