Johnny's Chicken and Waffles

This was our first time in Atlanta and it was my turn to pick the place to eat for all of us that was new! I took this challenge in stride and looked for the best place near us as we were in town for family business.This place did not disappoint! From the food to the service and atmosphere, everything was on point. Once we entered we were greeted and promptly seated. The gentleman took our drink orders first. I got an alcoholic beverage and it was very good. It had a good flavor to alcohol ratio and you can actually feel that there was liquor in the drinks.Each of the family got different things. I got the Royal Treatment mac and cheese which was bomb! I also got a strawberry shortcake waffle which was also delicious. You can really taste the quality ingredients they use from the vanilla and the waffles were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Mine also included all of the bells and whistles such as ice cream and toppings. My niece and nephews shared chicken tenders. We also got an order of wings. There was one thing that the server put in for us but the kitchen forgot about and unfortunately my sister did not notice in time and by the time we realized the kitchen was closed as we came during the night time. Outside of that though, everyone enjoyed their time here and the decor and bar section was really cool looking. They have records lining the walls of famous bands from Atlanta such as Outkast and cool theming throughout. Which includes a really cool logo that they have on the wall. 5/5 SupaFlyITGuy approved!

There was an attached bar with music playing. The bar area appears to be the focal point of establishment. Staff seemed to congregate there.  There is outside dining, but the AC is on inside.Service/ Front of the House: we were greeted and seated promptlyService/Serving Staff: Dashawn was friendly and helpful, but after dropping off the food he did not come back to check on us or to ask if we would like refills of the bottomless drinksFood:Starters -LOADED FRIES(Bacon, green onions, cheese sauce, crispy fries, BBQ sauce + Ranch dressing on side) - $12.00  There was no ranch dressing on the side.  The waffle fries came out lukewarm.  It was served in a room temperature skillet. Could have used a few minutes under the salamander.  The fries were flavorful with sweet BBQ Sauce and crunchy bacon.  Since the dish was not really hot, the cheese sauce was very lumpy and thick on top of the fries, but the bottom fries were sitting in a cheese liquid.FAMOUS CHICKEN & WAFFLES2 piece dark with buttermilk waffles and lemon pepper sauce $17.00.  The waffles were pretty good, a little bit on the thin but crispy side.  There was a hint of vanilla which made it interesting.  It was served with 2 containers of maple syrup and 1 of drawn butter.  I did not get any lemon pepper sauce.  The chicken was awesome... nice thin seasoned batter.  Crispy, juicy and fresh hot from the fryer.  Definitely a winner.Bottomless soda, ice tea, lemonade, Arnold Palmer $4.00... but did not check back to see if I wanted a refill.Value:  A little expense for 2 pieces of good chicken.Restroom: 2 unisex restrooms.  Pretty spacious.  Floors were wet by the window and there was trash by the door.  The sink was large.  Soap and Paper Towels were full.   Will I come back?: I would probably not go back...NOTE: they add an 18% Gratuity to all bills regardless of party size.

Alright...I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!!! The food was sooo delicious. I had the monthly waffle special...Apple Pie and the 4 piece fried chicken sauced in hot honey...also had to try their Mac and cheese. So freaking good!!! I highly recommend this place.

I have been here a few times. I love that I can normally get a seat without a long wait. It's all about timing. I try to get there right before the rush. The service is always friendly. I just feel they get over a little on the gratuity . I get it AND I promise I would tip you well on my own lol. I love their chicken and waffle combo. The red velvet. Delicious! And that not butter on it. It's cream cheese icing! YUM! I have also had their French toast and pasta both are great. My son had the French toast with strawberries and truly enjoyed it. I feel like you can't go wrong here. I will say this last time there was an abundance of flies in there and the booth could use a little cleaning. I know these are just normal restaurant details that come up. I will keep this place in my pocket for a go to place

Visiting from Kentucky and the food was amazing. We had Sunday as our waitress and she was an absolute doll! From the moment we walked in to we were overstuffed she's so kind and made the amazing vibes even better. Great place to stop in for some great flavorful food and drink.

The food is really good- chicken is flavorful (need some new oil, but I don't mind that too much). The waffle was normal- nothing special, but still good because of the whipped butter and sticky syrup. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, but I ordered the lemon pepper sauce (on the side) since they said they make it in house. It was 98% butter . It was nearly flavorless. The chicken was far better without the sauce. I also ordered the $15 "Royal Treatment Mac N Cheese" and it was the best thing I had. It's expensive for some Mac, but the cheese pull was awesome. The flavor was fantastic. You could actually taste the herbs on top and the different cheeses within. The noodles were not chewy or mushy- they were just right and the whole thing was baked in a mini-cast iron pan, so it had a delightful cheese crust over the top.Definitely a gem. It isn't hidden, so don't get mad if they run out of something. Give them some grace. Give them a shot- you will be pleased.

Overpriced food that didn't deliver.. The service was mediocre as the brought the food without utensils & my food lost heat while waiting for utensils.. I would never give this place an ounce of time or a dime.. the only nice thing was the dj for ambiance ..

First time here and it was pretty cool. The dj was everything! We had a big party of about 16 ppl. Our waiter was excellent...I think his name was either Malik or Mekhi. I had the chicken and pecan waffle which the waffle was amazing. Not too fond of big wings so I really didn't eat it. Next time I'll try the chicken tenders. Atmosphere 8/10Food 7/10Service 10/10Definitely will be back to try the catfish which looked pretty good.

The vibes here are immaculate and the food is twice as immaculate. Decked in all red with awards hanging up, this place gives an upscale lounge persona. The service is fast and kind, compared to those at OLG or Milk and Honey. I ordered the french toast platter and chicken on the side and it was muy deliciouso. I was so full, but I didn't want to stop eating. This place is amazing. I can't wait to come back. Deshawn was pur waiter and he was cool!

Jules was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The food is consistent and delicious every time. I have come twice in a row and the food is amazing. Come check them out ASAP!
