Now renamed Crescent City KitchenStop here in enroute to Fox theater. We got seating at the bar bc I didn't make reservations . There was good R&B music playing which created a cool, relaxing ambiance . Jaelisa was our server at the bar and I feel we got better personal service than the tables. She is incredible! I had the french toast, grits and a vegetable omelette. The food is good and well seasoned. The drink -Mason Jar Crescent City punch comes in small cylinder glass and is over priced at $16! I am fan of this place & will return ..but not buy the alcohol..

I recently dined at Johnny's Chicken and Waffle, and I must say the service was top tier. Our waiter was not only friendly but also quite observant, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The vibe of the place was fun, and the DJ played great music, adding to the overall experience. However, when it comes to the food, I have mixed feelings. I ordered the strawberry waffle, and while it was alright, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The flavors were decent, but I was hoping for a more outstanding culinary experience. Despite the food falling a bit short, the exceptional service and lively atmosphere at Johnny's make it a spot worth trying, especially if you're looking for a brunch.

This restaurant is a very short walk from where I live. I ordered UberEats pickup on Friday evening. It's funny, my friends considered going on Sunday morning but we decided against it since we were too tired from the night before and they were playing loud DJ music.I ordered the chicken & waffles with 3 crispy tenders, the side mac and cheese, and the cajun penne pasta. Everything was so good and I would go back during a Sunday brunch for more of the vibes! The tenders were so crispy and perfectly cooked (no pink). The waffle probably was just a regular waffle, nothing special. I did not use the provided butter/sauce on the waffle. The mac and cheese came kind of clumped together probably due to the small container but I ate it mostly as next-day leftovers and the flavor was insane. Finally, the cajun penne solidified my 5-star rating. It was slightly more spicy than I'd like but so flavorful! I would definitely come back with my friends on another weekend.

Had to wait a full 24 hours to write my review because my drink was strong! Had the Brunch on the Beach drink, definitely recommend it! It was cute, sweet and dangerous!I ordered the strawberries and waffles with lemon pepper chicken tenders: the lemon pepper sauce was amazing! Waffles were soft and sweet. And I didn't even need syrup, the butter tasted like it was mixed with powdered sugar! Coming back to try the red velvet waffle and also the Mac and cheese skillet!

Found this restaurant during a weekend getaway with wifey, among a collection of restaurants that neither of us had tried within walking distance from our hotel in Midtown. We discussed, she won and we tried Johnnys. We arrived just after a couple and were seated almost immediately. The decor was red and black and similar to a modern diner, with 90s Rand B playing softly through the restaurant speakers. Our waitress was positive and highly informed suggested and we ordered fried biscuits glazed with cinnamon and sugar. We followed the appetizer with entrees of a Sweet potato waffle and buffalo chicken strips, and fried fish and seasoned waffle fries. Know before you order: Each dish had lots of choices to amplify each dish. Some choices included the type of seasoning for the chicken; the pieces of chicken; the flavor of the glaze of fried biscuits; the flavor of the waffle- and may have an additional charge. The food: Well first, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! The fried biscuit dish we ordered as an appetizer was huge and the fried, cinnamon glazed biscuits were delicious and filling! Then our entrees arrived. Wifey tapped out and asked that her meal be wrapped up to be eaten later- turned out to be a bad choice as the fish and fries didn't microwave well so we were not able to enjoy them.I was surprised about the presentation of the waffle. It was very pretty but with the addition of the ice cream I couldn't fully enjoy the savory and sweet combination of the waffle syrup and spicy chicken I looked forward to as the sweetness and the temperature of the ice cream overwhelmed the dish and they were served separately to preserve the ice cream. It wasn't bad just not what I was hoping for. So I ate the chicken separately and enjoyed the seasoning and crunch of the chicken. I like the flavor of the waffle with the syrup, whipped cream, powered sugar and caramel sauce- but I removed the ice cream and sweet potatoes half-way in. For me it was too much. Bottom line: go to this restaurant expect to have good food, good service, a higher bill than we expected but an over all good experience.

This is a great spot for brunch and brunch foods whenever. We went on a Thursday night and there was no one else there so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. I love the holiday decor they had, it was a super cute spot. The food was only tasty. The mac and cheese with a fried lobster tail was incredible and the lobster tasted amazing. The chicken and waffles were great too. The red velvet waffle was tasty and the chicken had a good flavor although slightly overcooked. The pecan waffles with the dark two-piece chicken thigh and legs were great and juicy. The lemonade was also tasty. They were out of the buttermilk biscuits which was disappointing but they told us pretty quickly. The service was good for the most part. Since we were the only ones there, I thought stuff would come out a little quicker but it was not too long. It just took a little too long to get drinks. Our server was nice and kept checking in on us and made sure everything was good. It is a little pricey but I think it matches the area and the kind of restaurant it is.

The perfect brunch spot. We went in a Sunday at 12pm with no reservations and got seated right away. The food was well seasoned. They had a DJ playing hip hop. Not a lit brunch. Very chill vibes. Will definitely go back. Very reasonably priced
