Johnny’s Pockets

Wow this place has good ratings for a reason. The garlic mayo on the steak bomb is outstanding. Putting it in a super soft pocket is so yummyDefinitely worth the drive! Johnny is great.

The food is pretty good. I wouldn't call it 5 star restaurant good but it is tasty. My take on what we ordered was that there is something for everyone. We ordered the chicken parm pocket, meatball parm pocket, Cesar pocket, chicken Greek pocket and fries. The fries were of the battered type which I normally don't like as much but they were cooked well and tasted pretty good. Now for the pockets. The chicken parm was good and filled me up just right. My son loved the chicken Greek and has ordered it twice. My other son had the meatball and really liked it and was filling as well. On my 2nd visit I had the grilled chicken Cesar wrap. While good, I felt like the pocket wasn't filled w as much chicken and left me hungry. I'll keep trying the different varieties of pockets and would recommend this place to anyone looking for something other than submarine sandwich's or fried foods. They do have a variety of items in the menu. The food has a fresh taste and the pockets are warm and toasty. The place is nice and clean offering a few tables and chairs to dine in. I'll be back for sure.

I have since highschool grown up eating at Kostas in Needham. But have since moved to Dedham and have opened my eyes and stomach to a new spot. Today I discovered Johnny Pockets. I of course ordered the chicken caesar wrap. It was delicious I had to save half to bring home to my husband. We both agreed to come here since its so close to home! But still will share the love with Kostas when in Needham. But this place is well run clean and the food is very well made and flavorful! We have already talked about ordering in for dinner on Friday! My husband was sold when he tried the wrap and saw fried oreos on the menu!

I've heard great things about Johnny's Pockets. Located in the former Oakdale Pizza & Coffee Shop in Dedham's Oakdale Square, Johnny's Pockets offers a variety of made to order and signature hot & cold pita pockets, pizzas, calzones, fried foods and cold drinks in the cooler. The steak bomb pocket is very popular here.I decided to stop in for lunch very recently. I ordered a Chicken Bomb Pocket ($12.95 (cash)/$13.47 (charge cards & online) plus tax),  which was ready and hot in about 8 minutes after ordering. I enjoyed my pocket out in the vehicle. The pocket was very hot and filled with marinated boneless chicken pieces, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, onions, and melted American cheese. This chicken bomb pocket sort of tasted like and reminded me of the spiedies (sub rolls instead of pita pockets) I've enjoyed in the Binghamton,  NY area. Though slightly priced higher than a typical large sub at other places, the Chicken Bomb Pocket I had was very tasty and hot. I would try their other pockets including the chicken parmesan, and steak tip bomb next time I'm in the area.

Tried the Greek chicken pocket today and it was delish. Especially the fresh pocket. Will be back.

Great food, love the way they experiment with food, the ONLY thing i wish was that they were open later that 8oclock i get out they need a break too

First time stopped in for lunch. First thing I noticed it is spotlessly clean. Pride in the front of house. Very nice staff got me to what I needed. Ordered a chicken pocket which was great. Chicken was cooked perfectly, moist and seasoned. Pita and vegetables were fresh and crisp. Plenty of street parking and very friendly staff. Old school joint vibe. See ya next week for a falafel.

Great service, amazing food. Reasonably priced and delicious! And trust me, I'm picky. Everything was wonderful, will be back.

Delicious Food, Lots of Menu Choices, Clean Restaurant. Visiting the area on business, looked for a reasonably priced establishment. Noted Yelpers reviews were high for Johnny's so the three of us decided to give this place a try. We were extremely pleased with our respective choices. We all ordered customised pocket sandwiches, each were exceptional and tasty, including one that was vegetarian. All were fairly large in size, delicious and very filling. Pocket bread was excellent too, thicker but not like bread and definitely not flimsy. Both of my colleagues also ordered the mozzarella sticks, I tried one, found it to be very tasty and honestly, the best I've ever had. Once again, fellow Yelpers didn't let me down so thank-you! Highly recommend!

Food was delicious! The staff were very friendly.I ordered the Greek salad and the burger calzone were both awesome!
