Joey D's never disappoints (except that Mgr Andrew never stocked the Limincello that he promised me eons ago, so I'm still out my fave beverage, served ice-cold with Hendrick's. Andrew...you PROMISED ) and last night was no exception! I was originally hoping we would have "Mutton Chops" Mike as our server (maybe he's elsewhere these days, having been in upscale dining for eons, as I found out when I had to pleasure of being seated at his table a couple of years ago and just KNEW I'd been waited on by him somewhere else sometime in the previous 10-15 years. That's when he confirmed that he's been in the industry for a while! And you can tell by his exquisite skills!). However, we were treated to the charming and delightful Trent's services! (Management, are you reading this? He's a keeper!) The suggestions, timing, and attention to detail were all spot-on - no constant interruptions as he swung by to quietly check on us, while simultaneously making himself available should we need anything. And he's a doll, to boot! We first ordered the calamari, which I hadn't had in a while. Fried to the ideal crispiness, not the slightest bit chewy (other than what calamari is SUPPOSED to be) and coated and seasoned to perfection, with a delicious Parmesan-topped marinara, it was delectable! I then had my usual house salad with that warm honey-mustard-bacon house dressing drizzled over it, which comes with a mouth-watering croissant that's trickled with a sweet honey butter and rivals Krispy Kreme donuts for those who find donuts just toooo sweet! #Srsly #OrderSixToTakeHome #WithExtraButter #YoullThankMeLater And that was followed by a bowl of the She-Crab soup which, sadly, had to come home with me after two bites because I simply couldn't stuff another bite in me. ‍ #ThatsOk #LunchForTodayMy date ordered the Spicy Shrimp with heads on - as messy as I remember but delicious, nonetheless - and a loaded baked potato that he was pleased with as well. My Malibu (Coconut) /Pineapple /soda water on ice (yes, I'm one of those lightweight "fruity drink" kinda girls) was yummy, as was the Long Island Iced Tea (ok, maybe NOT much of a lightweight) that we decided to split. All-in-all, Joey D's never disappoints! Been going there since the mid-90's, when our office across the street would get off work on Friday's and gather in the bar area to let loose. I'm so happy they weathered the storm through Covid! I'll continue to be a patron as long as the service and food is at this level! (But would REALLY love to be able to sip my Limoncello-gin martinis on the patio again...) XOXO

First time visit for us, a Thursday. It was a place we've been wanting to try for a while and was my husband's birthday. I'm sure it was obvious to the hostess that we were first timers,because my husband immediately wanted his picture taken in front of the bar, which is impressive. Maybe that's why she had a waitress seat us at the far back of the restaurant next to the takeout door? Do they hold better tables for their regulars maybe? There were several better- situated tables nearby that remained empty the entire time we were there. The service was friendly and excellent, the mixed drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. The food was well seasoned and tasty, steaks perfectly cooked. My only complaint regarding the steaks is that they seemed to be a lower quality cut of meat. I had the Delmonico ribeye, which had chunks of fat throughout it, not marbling. My husband had the New York strip, which had two small strips of bone in it, which was really strange. Desserts were delicious, nice size servings for the price. I would give five stars were it not for the odd seating choice and sub-par cuts of steak.

Ambiance, great service, delicious food- check.Loved the garlic crab claw entree and she crab soup. Casual yet the tables at lunch showed there were some power deals going down.

Joey D's is a fantastic dining destination that's perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. During my visit, I enjoyed a delicious salmon salad that was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Parking was easy and hassle-free, which is always a plus. The dining room's rich aesthetics, with its warm and inviting atmosphere, made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a delightful and convenient dining experience.

I'm not sure where to begin! It's rare for me to give a restaurant a full five stars, but if I could, I'd give this place 10 stars. I frequently find myself in the Dunwoody area and have passed by Joey D's multiple times. Intrigued, I looked it up online, and instantly, I was in love. The décor, the bar, and the food--all captured my attention in the pictures, making me even more excited to try it.So, this past Saturday, I finally went, and the ambiance upon entering was incredible. The dim lighting, festive Christmas trees--it was all so inviting. I can only imagine how wonderful it is in the summer months with their great outdoor seating. Our server, Amancho, was fantastic. He anticipated our needs, knew what we wanted before we asked--it was such a pleasure. Being our first time, he gave us a complete rundown of the menu, specials, etc. Shout out to him!My friend and I ordered several items, including the delicious Hibiscus Margarita. For appetizers, we had The New Orleans Spicy Shrimp, The Garlic Crab Claws, and The Fried Pacific Calamari. As mains, I had the Baked Shrimp Alfredo, and my friend ordered the Blackened Chicken Rigatoni. We couldn't finish it all, so we got a to-go box but saved room for dessert--a Sundae for two. It came in a huge glass with loads of ice cream, brownie, fudge, and whipped cream.I've raved about this place on every social platform. The host and all the servers were so kind and friendly. I loved the burgundy blazers they wore! Joey D's has easily become my #1 choice in Dunwoody, and I'll be back very soon. Thank you for amazing food, easy parking, and a great staff! Great place for dinner or lunch. The food is spectacular as we had prime rib and beef rib for dinner. The crab dip was the bomb. The service was great and the manager was great checking in to ensure the experience was top notch. Haley great job!! Thank you.

Found this on Yelp and decided to try. The reviews are a bit misleading because the restaurant is fantastic! The servers are all highly trained and very attentive, huge selection of drinks and a large menu filled with good options. I had the Delmonico steak with the charred broccoli and it was delicious! The steak had a nice crust with a Cajun butter to soften things up. They have a nice outdoor patio and plenty of parking. This is a classy place with classy clientele, but jeans or even shorts would probably be OK. It does not have a lot of flare, but I could see why this place is a classic. Good experience for me.

We were on a preview trip ahead of moving to Atlanta. We found Joey D's and had an excellent server 'Grant' that was went above and beyond to ensure we had a spectacular experience. He answered all our questions, provided sage advice to menu items, and the surrounding areas which we really appreciated. The food was excellent and without a doubt we will return once we've moved and settled in our new city! Thank you to Joey D's and Grant!
