While visiting Chicago for a conference, Joe's was highly recommended for good BBQ & fish. I must say- I enjoyed everything!! The menu is extensive. We wanted to try everything; however, we finally settled on the hungry man (rib tips, fish, and fries), chicken wings/fries, fried okra, Mac n cheese- and homemade ice cream!! OMG!! It reminded me times spent in Mississippi with my grandmother. If you are visiting Chicago- I invite you to take a small drive outside of downtown. There is street parking in front of the storefront business and it's takeout only. No dining in... the wings are cooked to order so pack you patience. It's worth the wait. Had the privilege of meeting the owner. He embodies southern hospitality at its finest and the workers were also friendly and accommodating since it took us a minute to actually decide what we wanted and they also gave us recommendations of their popular items. I don't visit a new place if there's not a line or regular customers going in and out. This place had both!! That let me know the food was good!! Thanks Joe!! Lord's will, I'll be back.

Unfortunately joes is not the same as we know it the turkey tips was my go 2 staple now the meat is tuff and the links are burnt and dry they don't care about the food anymore sadly I recommend the chicken wings because the bbq has not been the same sadly

This has got to be one of the worst places to get a delivery from, especially through Ubereats, I ordered from work to try to empress my coworkers and oh boy did I get embarrassed when instead of 2 combo's and a catfish meal I get 1 combo, catfish and a cheeseburger, when I call them they tell me they sent the right thing garbage. The worst.

While the new location appears to be a lot cleaner with better service than the old one across the street. This newer version misses the mark with the amount of food and presentation. The prices increased drastically, so with that being said, you have to decide what is going to be your fluffer. If you not going to give enough barbecue and chicken to justify the higher price tag, then you better have made for sure to provide more than enough fries to compensate for the lack of protein with the higher price. But to be scrimping on the serving sizes of everything while asking customers to dig a lil deeper will eventually lead to loss patronage. Measure it out if you have to, to keep it consistent. But I didn't receive nearly enough food to justify the price!

I placed an order at this establishment at 9:42 which was right at closing. I purchased a large tip and received a small tip. I will never support this business again. I felt like I got robbed because they were rushing to closing on 07/26/2023. I am very aware that that coming to an establishment you can except the food quality to be subpar but to rob me of my money I will not stand for. I am all for supporting black businesses but I will not be taken advantage of. I will be politely be reporting this establishment to the health department, the better business bureau, and the inspector attorney general.
