Joe Willie's Seafood and Bar

First things First, if you don't like Cajun Boil atmosphere, you definitely won't like this one. The music was extremely biascan we hear something other than Drake & Sexy Redd Pandora Station. Music was also played off someone's phone so if they get a call there's no Music. Now let's get to this food I've had wayyy better for way less & better service. The water is service in a little plastic drinking cup iykyk no water carafe was left so your left thirsty. I'm extremely sorry I didn't get a pix before I started eating, but that pan was full. Now back to the foolishness, there is ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR, just regular seasoning on top of butter. They give you the wrong gloves to eat with. Medical Gloves aren't supposed to be used for food! My Friend had the Fried Catfish & they served it like chicken straps being cheap. Wasn't much flavor on the Catfish either. The potatoes that came with the boil tasted like sweet potatoes & they was big as hell like Russet PotatoesAll the seafood was slightly over cooked but the corn was fye thoughThe atmosphere is dark & loud, your automatically charged an 18% gratitudy for sitting at the bar Drinks wasnt hitting & you can't taste the alcohol. I heard the food when they was opened in Harvey & got disappointed at the Chicago South location. Pan definitely wasn't worth $65.99 due to it being no flavor whatsoever. Them tables are nasty as hell & the lights flickerTry at your own risk, better yet let someone pay for your food

Their seafood boil bags that include crab legs, lobster tails, shrimp, corn and potatoes are delicious!! The flavor and seasoning is like no other. Not cheap tho so be prepared for the cost, but if you're looking to treat yourself I would say it's worth it. Be careful if you do decide to go there in person because the neighborhood at certain times can be a little sketchy.

the place was good at some point but the customer servic is terrible and They never make the chicken how u ask them to make it. I asked for my chicken plan and they gave it to me with hella sauce on it. & this happen to me twice. and then have the nerve to to tell me that I didn't ask for plan chicken NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN

The customer service has fallen off drastically. I ordered on 3 occasions for a pick up for them good ass Turkey necks. Both times I order through GrubHub. On both occasions Turkey necks were not ready. The fist time I waited an hour. This time I was told they would be ready at 9pm. They close at 9:30pm. I'm not sure who manages the kitchen but someone needs to step up and manage the kitchen. I gave them a 9 month break and returned like I needed this place back in my life. It's as bad as going back to an ex who you hope won't let you down. They did. My 3rd order was placed between 6pm and 610. I went inside to pick up my order at 640. I was told it will be 15 minutes. What's the effing point in ordering ahead on any app if the food isn't going to be close to ready at the approximate time given????? I finally got my order at 755pm. Joe Willies it's over between my money and y'all. I don't care how good your Turkey Necks, seafood boils, and big bird are...and forget you Joe Willie's!!! Treat your other app using customers better!

If you're looking for some delicious fried food, you've come to the right place. Shockingly, we ordered a bunch of fried food for delivery and it somehow managed to still be crispy when it arrived! Here's what we ordered (all excellent):- Fish Strips with Cajun Tartar Sauce- Foxy Emma and Mae Frencis (fried shrimp and fries)- Big Boy Bird (BBQ wings)What's nice and what's often hard to find is the breading isn't too thick and it's nicely spiced. So nicely spiced that everything's good enough to eat without dipping in any of the sauces they give you.Even though it's a seafood place, they sure know how to make wings. The sauce is a sweet BBQ and the wings are oh so crispy. Seems that Joe Willie's just knows how to make anything and everything that's fried and not make you feel horrible after eating it!

Went in to joe willies on a Sunday on 70 something and state st and all I can say is that it was completely unprofessional. None of the workers knew what they were doing, I waited a whole hour for my food that was already made and sitting behind the counter all because the girl that was taking the order did not know what she was doing. I don't know if she was off drugs or if she was mentally challenged but it was completely unacceptable. By the time I received my order which was sitting there for 30 minutes, the wings I had ordered tasted like they were cooked in burnt oil. The host was nowhere to be found and kept on lying about the wait time. All in all I love the food I get from joe willies but I will never go back to the one on state st. If I could give negative stars I would.

I decided to try the rib tips and oh boy, did I pay for trying them. Went a 4pm was told to come back at 6 and still had to wait an hour. The barbecue sauce syrupy sweet it tasted like a pile of sugar couldn't even eat more than one piece.

a week agoNEWI went last week and let me tell y'all this was a damn shit show. The kitchen TOLD ME THEY was closed aND IT WAS A whole hr and 20 mins before closing. No one was at the register or the door and the entire staff was DRUNK AF! When the girl did come to the register she walked up with a cup of liquor slurring her words saying we couldn't be seated when she was the one who told me to come bc the location in Harvey was closed. but she wasn't the only one i saw a few ppl walking in and out the kitchen with liquor cups in their hands too. There was one nice younger man who took my order but the food was cold in some spots as if it was heated in a microwave smh. NEVER AGAIN EVERYBODY NEEDS TO BE FIRED OR RETRAINED BC THIS WAS THE WORST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD

Food is delicious and drinks are great!!! Affordable. Plenty of parking. My slushy was aww!! Recommend

The food quality was ZERO and all I ordered was a large order of chix wings the worst chix wings I have ever had also the price was ridiculous I paid $22 plus tax plus gratuity???? And I picked up myself????? So the total they charged my card was $30 so basically I paid $8 for gratuity and tax on top of it the chix was dry super small and old and nasty
