Love JJ's!! We have been going here for many years. It has a neighborhood deli feel. The staff is very friendly and the food arrives quickly. The portions are generous. There are gluten free options too. They have a good selection of bagels. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. They also have a rewards stamp card available for frequent customers.

JJ's Deli in North Scottsdale - An Update on Quality and QuantityI'm revising my previous 4-star review of JJ's Deli in North Scottsdale down to 3 stars, primarily due to a persistent issue that's become too glaring to overlook. Over the years, I've been a loyal customer, frequently purchasing their 1/2 lb containers of lox cream cheese. However, I've consistently noticed that these containers never seem to be full. Despite assurances from the staff that each container indeed contains a half-pound of product, my experiences have told a different story.Being somewhat of a nerd with a kitchen scale at home, I decided to start weighing these containers as soon as I arrived home from JJ's. After checking the last 10 containers, I was disappointed to find that none of them actually weighed a half-pound, container included. Each one was consistently about 1-2 oz short. This discrepancy isn't just a minor error; it's a significant shortfall that suggests a systemic issue with how products are portioned and sold, which they have to fully know they are doing. They sell by weight and charge by weight not by volume or container size. Bad play, JJ's. While I will continue to buy bagels from JJ's Deli -- which have always been satisfactory -- I can no longer justify purchasing their lox cream cheese, even as delicious as their is with the big chunks of lox. Being consistently shortchanged on a product is frustrating and feels disrespectful to loyal customers. It's especially disheartening when part of your routine involves looking forward to enjoying what you thought was a fair and accurately described product. In summary, while JJ's Deli still does some things right, like their bagels, the issue with the lox cream cheese portions has significantly dampened my enthusiasm for recommending their deli items without reservation. I hope that this feedback prompts a reassessment of how products are measured and represented, restoring trust and value to what could otherwise be a delightful local deli experience.

I love that JJs is still going as strong as ever. Updating my review after 10 years and they still get the highest marks from me! Sometimes the only bright spot about my hour morning commute to North Scottsdale is my call-ahead to JJs to order my breakfast Bagelwich. I'm a creature of habit: Everything bagel with egg and cheddar cheese. It's plenty big enough without anything else, though sometimes I'll tack on some bacon. Pair it with a cup of hot coffee, and you have yourself a mobile breakfast of champions. Always wrapped up in foil to keep it piping up. The quality is so consistent. The guys behind the counter are friendly and remind me of a New York deli. The ambiance is a diner vibe, with natural light and a bustling atmosphere. The patio is lively with plenty of folks hanging out, sometimes with their dogs, and always with lots of conversation and laughter on faces. What's also incredible is the prices actually haven't seemed to change that much through time. Though, I am speaking only from experience with my Bagelwich, which hasn't left my order in 10 years.

Went on a beautiful day so I was able to enjoy my meal outside with lots and lots of people who beat me to it. Order a matzoh ball soup which was quite good. Broth really good; the matzoh ball needed black pepper. I bought the $7 knish. As large as a baseball so I didn't object too much to the price. We also order nova on a bagel. Everything was fresh. The staff is really hardworking taking orders quickly, bringing food to table and cleaning up when someone leaves. BTW I Saw a dog on the patio so apparently they are well.

Absolutely H O R R I B L E service! They are what you would most worry about with a business like this! If you ask them to repair a bad order, they get VERY nasty! They shout fire all employees, especially the manager, and start over! Maybe they can get it right instead of running off customers, but I will NEVER go back, no matter what!!!

JJ's has to be one of the best lunch spots in North Scottsdale. It is shocking how big their menu is and their portions are also very generous. The staff is oddly friendly as well. It is only odd because I can't think of another restaurant in the area (or anywhere) where the staff are so friendly and outgoing. For my wife and I JJ's is a staple restaurant.

The saddest lox and bagel sandwich I've paid for. Needless to say it's a waste of money for sadness and empty bagel. Don't bother

Such a cute place for weekend breakfast/brunch.Came here after hiking, this place was just perfect to extend happy Saturday vibe after the hike.I didn't know that this place was such a hot place, there were so many people here already- but the line gets shorter pretty fast. I tried a bagel and a cheese burger, omgggg! their homemade style food! I instantly fell in love with the food and the atmosphere. Bagel was good, but the cheese burger was amazing! Patty was big and they put lots of cheese in it. Yay!And live music outside. Perfect weekend brunch!

I am highly critical but I loved this place. Simple environment and seating. Had an omelet, potatoes and bread and it was wonderful. I could not eat all in one sitting. I took it home and two days later heated up the omelet and potatoes and they were just as good as before. Lots of selection and from my experience, quality food. I wish it were closer to my home. I went there at the recommendation of a Wells Fago employee in the same area...so there's most be as impressed.
