My first couple of times here was amazing, this time the food lacked seasoning and the broccoli and cheese casserole was the worst! It was really watery and had zero flavor.. I think it's pretty hard to mess up broccoli, rice, and cheese but maybe they had someone new cooking idk. The sweet potatoes were good and the lemonade. Because this was my only bad experience, I will give it another try before I completely write them off. What I like about them is that they don't cook their vegetables with meat which gives me more options and the prices are really good. I got a four veggie plate and my friend got Salisbury stew with three sides and they both came with a drink for 15$, can't beat that..

The food is horrible. The attitude that comes with granulated death of the tea and lemonade is worse. SmhBe ashamed, be very ashamed .

The breakfast is awesome. Going for lunch/dinner today. If it's half as good as breakfast it is awesome. Oh my and it is delicious.

First time here and I'm impressed don't let the outside fool you, I order the steak with dressing, yams, and collard greens and i would give my overall meal a 7/10 only because I wasn't too fond of the yams. The tea and lemonade was a plus. My boyfriend ordered the meat loaf with cabbage, collards and yams. He also ordered a brownie. If I'm back on this side of town I'd definitely come back

I may fall asleep at my cubicle as soon as I post this review. Not because I'm tired but because I think I ate too much. Surprisingly, I didn't even finish my food, which is rare for me. Talk about getting a lot of bang for your buck, $6 goes very far here! For that price, you get one protein and two sides with a drink. For me, I chose to go with the pulled chicken over rice, mashed potatoes with gravy and macaroni and cheese. Thankfully, cornbread comes with the meal as well, so that's a huge plus for me since I can't envision eating a southern meal without it. Like Chris Rock says, "cornbread, ain't nothin' wrong with that!" Overall, the food was okay, not bad but not great either. With places like these, I feel that the focus is more on the bargain rather than serving high quality food and that's alright because I felt that'd be the case going in. The chicken was tender and the sauce was seasoned just right. It paired well with the rice, as the rice didn't absorb all of the juice, so the integrity of the texture was kept intact throughout. The mashed potatoes were okay, they weren't clumpy or runny, but somewhere in between. I got the impression that they may have been instant mashed potatoes but I could be wrong. The macaroni, well, not much was going on there. Although it was bland, it did have some creaminess to it. To my surprise, the cornbread was decent, it wasn't dry and there was no flaking. Quite tasty. For the interior, it had the old school feel to it, like a diner that you'd encounter in the middle of the country. For service, there was only one lady working the line, however, she was very nice and moved quickly. She also served generous portions, so that's a huge plus. For drinks, I believe there are two options, sweet tea and lemonade. I'm a tea kind of guy, preferably unsweet, but settled for the sweet this time around. The tea was not bad, didn't taste sugary at all, which is quite shocking for me as a lot of places get carried away with the sugar. They may serve soda, but I don't recall seeing a fountain. So what's the verdict? With a bargain price, generous portions, and fast service, I can definitely see myself coming back here again.

Needed something good to eat that would hold me for a while. Soul food came to mind. This place is close to where I live. Bigger on the inside than it looks. Good solid hearty meal. Flavors were good. 6 bucks for a home cooked meal and drink is excellent. Servers were friendly. Place is old but clean. Food was good. Not a date spot but if you're hungry, stop by. My mother enjoyed the fried chicken.

Bargain priced Southern comfort food in an unassuming little joint next door to Zesto and across the street from Burger King, near the intersection of Moreland and E Confederate Ave. This is a meat-and-sides place with cafeteria-style counter service. Servings are generous and there's a vat of sweet tea alongside one of lemonade so you can make your own ginormous half-and-half. Menu varies, but there's usually baked chicken that's fall-off-the-bone tender. Oxtails are popular with the regulars.

South east Atlanta needs more of a variety of restarunt to eat at .I personally think the only reason people eat here is convenience. Really basic food almost sub par. Most breakfast is 6 dollars. It's dark, dirty carpet, outdated, and use the restroom at your own risk because the door doesn't lock. The women who work behind the counter look like they hate working there. The owner normally has a blank stare. Looks like she hates working there too. The restaurant was featured on Lela and Eve. The didn't even put a ounce of proceeds into the restaurant. They make to much money to not give a puck about the appearance of their establishment. And quality of food.

Found this place on the internet as near to an AirBnB with good reviews. It wasn't on Yelp, but we thought we'd try it. They are open for breakfast, lunch and supper, so long as supper is before 6 or 7pm. Breakfast was very affordable and cost only $6 including coffee. It was served cafeteria style and offered eggs (w cheese or no cheese), a meat (sausage, bacon, country style steak or chicken pattie), biscuit and gravy if you wanted and coffee or juice. The cheesy eggs were hot and tasty. The biscuit and gravy was good and the country style steak was slightly dry, but really better than expected. Service was good as cafeteria style goes. I would have given more stars, but the carpet was stained (though not obviously dirty) and the space was sort of cluttered. Food tasted good and I'd return, but they do need to work on appearances a little more....
