Jin's Studio has individual rooms that are private for gatherings. They're also open until 4am. I recommend staying the whole time (:
a room with a wall and ceiling lights
a large screen and a fan
a microphone on a table
a small bar with a clock
Cool lights, plenty of space in the private room; lights have a dimmer

Probably the best late night karaoke spot in town nowadays. They can accommodate BYOB, it is highly recommended to bring someone who can type in Hangul ( Korean Language ). But get ready to sing your heart out when the doors close

This place gets the job done when it comes to getting in your karaoke fix. In other words, Jin's is the spot to go after you and all of your friends are on a good one. This is a no-frills, kind-of-expensive ($220 for around an hour and a half of time in a room with 4-5 bottles of soju) and a of a bit dingy location that is meant to host (mostly drunk) people who want to sing their hearts out. They sell food akin to a high-school baseball snack shack (chips, little treats, etc.) The service is ok - I'm not expecting much when the staff are mostly dealing with intoxicated people.Bottom line - this is one of the better spots for karaoke in the Convoy area. That being said, it's nothing too special. You'll appreciate it more after a couple of drinks in. 3.4/5, rounded down to a 3.

I have experienced some of the most horrifying and downright disrespectful service and treatment I have ever seen, here the one and only time I will go here. First off, when requesting a kareoke room, there is no formal menu/price list, just some shady negotiation with some guy that wasn't even there to greet us when we arrived. Next, after getting the room, we requested some paper towels to wipe up some spilled water on the floor. But, instead of giving me some paper towels or offering to help clean it up, we were actually going to be charged a "cleaning fee", and I proceeded to watch as the "employee" I talked to and 5 other people he walked from a back room with all file into our room and kick us out of the establishment. I have never in my life experienced such bizarre and honestly very disrespectful treatment of me and my friends in any establishment, here or abroad. I hesitate to say it came down to anything racial but I know what other people have said about this place, online and in person, and let's just leave it at that me and my friends were not Korean. Good luck everybody else, take your business elsewhere. Also this place is fucking disgusting, the floors and the tables are absolutely gross.

Most affordable karaoke spot in SD! It's not fancy but it's got enough bangers for millennials to last at least 3 hours. They've incorporated English signs to decode your remote for easier usage. Incurred a $2 charge for the water bottle I brought in. Can't say much about the drink prices since multiple people paid the rounds separately. The volume within the room was loud in the best way possible. Everyone texted me afterwards and the next day to tell me how much fun they had! I would definitely return again.

I'm here basically once a month because I am a karaoke fiend. The place is a bit run down, but it has a gritty feel that I enjoy on a night out. Service really just depends on who's working, but honestly, you're just here to sing so you won't be interacting with the workers much. I only get food if absolutely necessary- overpriced and not that great. Definitely one of the best deals you can get for private room karaoke in San Diego.

This place has gone really downhill. I've been coming here for over 20 years, and tonight I experienced overt racism by the person managing the front desk. They arbitrarily charged me for bringing outside drinks, which they have never done in the 20 years I've enjoyed Jin. Previously their staff was very kind and friendly. Today, I was informed of a "10-30" dollar charge and arbitrarily charged a full 30 for bringing in drinks. They also wouldn't let us extend times even though there was no group waiting. I'm truly disappointed - this has been the go-to place for my buddies, out of town guests, kumdo/kendo friends, and business folks visiting from Japan and Korea for years. The manager was downright rude tonight, and treated me differently clearly because of race based on his demeanor and what he said (I understand quite a bit of Korean).I'll have to rethink coming here in the future. My business and kendo mates can spend our money elsewhere.

So much fun! Definitely a cool spot to take your friends. The music selection is diverse, with its catalogue including pop and rock songs and music in different languages that included Spanish, Japanese, Korean and they also had Filipino songs. I was impressed that it even had modern songs that are newer on the radio! The rooms are cozy and there's a fan inside to keep you cool. You can also order food if you want to nosh on any goodies when you aren't singing. Our room was given two microphones

The girls and I were down the street having dinner celebrating the retirement of one of our colleagues and we all had the itch to do some karaoke. After calling a few places and being disappointed the other places were fully booked, we were surprised this place had no wait.We all walked down to Jins since we knew parking was not going to be easy, but the area is relatively safe so we walked as a group. They had a room ready for us, a party of about 8 gals. The place was relatively clean. After a brief introduction to how the karaoke machine worked we were ready to sing. There were plenty of songs that we all knew. We actually were surprised that there were plenty of Tagalog songs that we knew too. Flipping through the song catalog, I saw they had a number of other languages too.Either eat before or after, cuz the place has slim pickings on food and drinks. They had soju but it was pretty sweet, but it worked. So if you have the itch to sing your heart out with your friends last minute this place will satisfy your needs.

We had sooooo much fun for the most affordable price. Jin let's you bring your own drinks and snacks (major plus!). They have a decent selection and the service is amazing. The front staff were there to help with any questions we might have had.The inside is clean with wooden benches for hanging and enough space to get your groove on. I would just say that the selection of songs is not as large as other places but not bad!

AWESOME KARAOKE!!!!! Most songs are Korean and system is in Korean which is fine obviously if you've ever been to karaoke before. Idk why people give this place less than 5 stars because you can bring your own FOOD and drink. There's a bonchon next door. Literally that's a 5 star reason alone. This place is so cool because it overflows into the sushi restaurant next door. An incredibly sweet woman took care of us. The man popping out drinks was so fast and sweet as well. I was tempted by churros... but didn't do it...... maybe next time.....We were in room #1 on the sushi side and the sound isolation was REALLY good! Wow! I was super impressed by that. The song selection was great lol. Japanese song selection was a little strange, but they still have some classics like Teresa Teng. They didn't have my favorite Speed song Wake Me Up but it's ok I just sing that at home 24/7 anyway. I think English selection was wonderful. They had a LOT of Radiohead including True Love Waits?!?!!? That's like literally a b side... what the hell? I kept wondering how that was even possible?Lol btw some of the Japanese lyrics were wrong which makes me laugh as a non native speaker. So for that alone it's worth coming here! But this is really a great place and I can't wait to spend more time here. We went over 2 hours and they only charged us for 2... 감사합니다 so much. Really classy quality place. It was $95 for 2 soju 3 water 2 hours which doesn't even seem right, lol. Real sweethearts.
