The ambiance is really cool. Love the chic, modern simplicity of the whole place. The service has always been good as well. The food leaves a lot to be desired. I've been here 2-3 times now and it just seems flavorless. There are a few things that are great. We love the pancakes and the chicken. But feels like Korean food for people who are afraid to step out of their comfort zone. Just bland. The drinks sound really interesting but don't really taste like much, in my opinion. Interesting and promising in concept. Not sure what could make it better. I wish I could say I like this place but I don't. I don't think we will be returning here.

Food is really inconsistent and generally not authentically Korean. I had the dak dori tang and it tasted very watered down, like they just added water to the broth because they ran out. It was like eating spicy hot water. No flavor. The banchan here is also very average. The kimchi is not very fresh.

Food and service is great. They are fast when you place an order. So many great food items too choose from. It is a go to place of mine in Andersonville.

Jin Ju is a contemporary #Korean restaurant, located in Chicago's #Andersonville neighborhood's main Clark Street corridor. I was surprised to know that it has been around for more than two decades, serving the best of their takes on classic Korean dishes. While I enjoyed everything, of note to try is the Duk Boki (rice cake-chili sauce), Pajun (scallion pancake) and the Domi (tilapia)

Chicken wings were awesome and had a finger licking good sauce. Kim bap, mandoo, jap Che, and bulgogi were all good too. Service was attentive. Only qualm is Despite the storm door, it was cold inside.

Get some Korean among the many Asian restaurants in Andersonville. It's got plenty of smaller and bigger options to choose from. Jin Ju is a pretty nice looking place, but it's not expensively fancy though. Actually it's quite affordable to be honest. There's also Korean liquors that go good with the food as well. After doing stuff around the area, we came here. It's strange that a Swedish neighborhood has so many Asian restaurants. This is just one of many of these. Has to be the most affordable. We got some of the soju. It's $3 for a sampler cup. This is a Korean liquor made from sweet potatoes. This is pretty much like vodka except sweeter. As for the food, we got the Kimchi Mandoo. It's about $18, which was kind of a lot for the portion. These were pretty much dumplings with kimchi it seemed. Has quite a bit to choose from. It's pretty expensive for the entrees, but get some of the smaller things. There's some things that are meaty like bulgogi, and there's dumplings for vegetarians.

I will give the food a 3 star, not an authentic Korean restaurant. It is more a place for you to hang out and talk to your friends. The Kimchi Chigae was really salty, but the server was kindly enough to remove it from the bill. I enjoyed the salad and the bibimbap the most. However, the rice for the bibimbap was reallyyyyy soggy. The service and vibe were awesome. Overall, this place can probably satisfy your craving for Korean food, but not a place to go if you are looking for a traditional and authentic Korean restaurant.

The service was amazing. When coming in they were so humble and nice. They greeted us with a smile and sat us quickly. The cooks were brisk when it came to bringing out the food. We did not wait long to receive our food. But when the food came out I tasted AMAZING. It had so much flavor. My family usually doesn't like Korean food but we went for my birthday and they loved it so much they said they would love to come again. They especially liked the fact that the restaurant had cushions on the seats, the place looked comfortable and beautiful. If anyone asked what I would recommend I would say the bibimpa, dak gan jan, and the Kimbap
