Jimmy's of Santee

I ordered the house salad with grilled chicken. I enjoyed the house made balsamic vinaigrette. I got the kids spaghetti for my son and he approved, smelled and tasted great. My server was very nice and attentive.The restaurant is spacious and in a good location off of busy mission gorge.

Jimmy is a great place for some comfort food. They have great tasting and cuts of steaks. The Angus steak I ordered, was cooked perfectly to a medium. The restaurant leaves the fat on the steak, which I love. I don't eat much potatoes, but the hash browns it came with was ok. I would ate more if they were cooked longer. I prefer crunchy hash browns. The eggs were fluffy, with no seasoning. The kids chicken strips are not a kid size. The plate is served with a generous cut of 2 chicken breast. These chickens are nicely battered and deep fried, then pressure cooked. This takes out the excess oil. This is also done with the chicken in the chicken and waffle. They both had an outstanding taste, with a crispy bite. The waffles are made fresh and have a soft inner bit to them. Jimmy's noise level is a little on the loud side. Depending on the amount of people there. They are have a bar to sit at it you want. The bar has multiple TVs. Usually play some sport game. Service is pretty good. But they often seem low staffed. Still the servers are polite and attentive. If you have room for dessert. I recommend on of their cheesecake or carrot cake slices. I plan to come back.

I mainly go here for the broasted chicken as it's one of the very few places that has it. I grew up in Las Vegas and we had broasted chicken frequently. The broasted chicken here is perfect. It looks like recently they remodeled and it looks better. The wait staff are super friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and fresh. Even the salads are fresh. I would recommend this place. They've been here for awhile and continue to maintain the quality. They still value the basics of quality, freshness and service.

We were looking for brunch in Santee and decided to try Jimmy's Restaurant. I had the Pork Chop Dinner for $18.99 with Apple Juice for $4.29, and the Texas Scrambles for $15.99 with fruit juice for $4.29. The food is good, the atmosphere is spacious and very family-friendly. Even though I didn't catch the server's name, they were very friendly and compassionate towards the customers, which was nice. Maybe it was still early, but I really appreciated it.

Visited Jimmy's for Saturday lunch and we were able to order from both breakfast and lunch menu. It was quiet, perfect for families. Plenty of space, making it an ideal venue for private events. The dishes were generous portions and Service is prompt. We tried the new appetizer menus and it was enough for three, and I would recommend sharing them among four.Located within a plaza, parking is abundant, adding to the convenience. Indoor and outdoor seating options available. They offer gluten-free cheese and meat options, The restaurant has multiple screens make it as a go-to spot for game day gatherings5 stars for an old fashion American family diner place . Good portions, good prices, to the point, no extra.

That generous portion with the very delicious taste are what you exactly need on your day off. One dish is definitely shareable, Thank you @jimmysofsantee for the nice welcoming and the amazing food , the service was pretty cool and nice

Excellent East County landmark spot for Brunch and breakfast!My 15 yr old son and I came here for breakfast at around 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning. I suggested he ordered a country fried steak and eggs he did and I ordered spinach Florentine croissant Benedict. Both dishes were absolutely exquisite, made fresh and hot shareable except my son, didn't share any with me. He ate the whole thing!

Jimmy's Burger portion was good.Touchdown breakfast the portion is a little bit on the shy side. Both items were flavorful.

The outside is deceiving. The inside is more updated. There are booths and tables. Bar and sports tv area. Great ambiance for all ages. On the menu, there is a little bit of everything for whatever you are craving. From what I ate and was served, meals have the home cooked feel.The service was surprisingly super fast. From placing our order to actually eating was about 10min. So's... I go into Jimmy's yesterday morning for breakfast. A luxury, at this point in my life. This is what I ordered (as can be seen here...Now, I realize that Sanity has NO PLACE in (today's) society, however, I must point out that... (having come from an era when "Sanity" was still quite prevalent in the United States of America, this is how much it would cost you in the USA anywhere from coast to coast for breakfast pretty much...A "Short" stack of pancakes... $1.50 TOPS!(4) Stripes of Bacon... $.79 cents!A cup of Coffee with (FREE REFILLS) $.15 cents!Subtotal: $2.44 With tax and tip, a guy could walk out of a Denny's or ANY restaurant, pay less than seven dollars for everything, and get a decent breakfast!TODAY, you FEEL like you've been RAPED when the check comes around!
