Jimmy Thai

I have been meaning to try Jimmy Thai for quite some time as I think it is one of the last restaurants in Deerfield that I haven't tried. But it has just never worked out for whatever reason. Perhaps since they are closed on Sundays and we often seem to go out for dinner on Sundays. I haven't had Thai food in a good while but I recall the last Thai food I had to be underwhelming with the food not being nearly as flavorful as I had hoped. Thankfully, that was not the case at Jimmy Thai. I ordered some Chicken Pad Thai and it was quite flavorful and very enjoyable. My wife ordered the Beef Pad See Ew and it was also very good. I had a bite of my daughter's Tofu Golden Noodles and liked that too.We were greeted quickly when we arrived. We were also given a few bottles of water right away which seemed a little strange to me but they were nice and cold so that worked for me. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. There was plenty of seating inside and plenty of parking outside. I can't really think of anything that we weren't pleased with. We enjoyed our dining experience and plan on coming back.

While they are nice and I really wanted to like this place based on reviews. The food was not authentic and bland. Portion size was good. And again they're very nice and clearly understand the value of customer service.

To get the discount for ordering carry-out on line, you have to pick the pay by cash option. This doesn't mean that you have to pay by cash. Instead of using credit card to pre-pay during the online ordering process, you have to pay at the restaurant when you pick up the order (using credit card or other means), show them the 10% discount coupon on your phone from the Yelp app and they would adjust the bill accordingly. Suggestion to Yelp or Jimmy Thai on the offering of discount to Yelp members. Instead of using the electronic coupon and pay at the restaurant, may be Yelp members can be provided with a promotion code when they order online. We can then input the promotion code and pay with our credit card during the online ordering process. This will make the ordering process more streamlined, and we don't need to pay at the restaurant.

Love coming to Jimmy Thai! Every visit I always have a delicious meal and the owner, Jimmy, is truly the sweetest. He loves building relationships with his customers and is truly grateful to everyone who walks in. We ordered the panang noodles and swapped the crispy noodles it usually comes with for a wide pad see ew type of noodle. We also ordered the green curry with beef. Both dishes were delicious!

Visiting my corporate headquarters in Deerfield and found this little hole on the wall Thai restaurant. Had good reviews. Was meeting a colleague for a beer and apps. First of all they only serve beer and wine. Really is a hole in the wall kinda place. Ordered a Sapporo and this ice tea. I know I like the caffeine and alcohol to mix in my system. Ordered the potstickers, chicken satay and shrimp shumai. The satay and potstickers were great. The shrimp shumai seems a bit too fishy. And looked like there were frozen. Everything I saw passing me looked very good. Will definitely try it again.

I can be a creature of habit. Here is my usual Jimmy Thai order:- chicken potstickers - fried. These are crispy, filled with chicken and served with a delicious dipping sauce. - Ramen with tonkotsu broth and pork chashu slices. I changed it up ever so slightly by ordering it "skinny" which is less noodles and more veggies. This is also topped with a perfectly done 1/2 egg. What elevates this ramen is the delicious flavorful broth. It's rich and (not too) salty and perfect with the ramen, bok choy and tender pork.Perfect meal for a chilly fall evening that warms you up from the inside. It's staffed by friendly staff and the very welcoming proprietor, Jimmy, who seems to know everyone and have a word with everyone.The Thai food is pretty good, too!

Ordered Jimmy Thai for dinner tonight and was really impressed.We ordered the green curry, Pad Khee Mao and Pad Thai for mains and ordered crab Rangoon as an app. Since we hit a certain order total, they included potstickers as well! All the food was tasty and met the spice request we had put in.The owner, Jimmy was super friendly when I came in to pick up my food and was thanked us for supporting his business. Looked like they were really busy for dine in as well, but he was still taking time to ask people how everything was and thanking them on their way out. Definitely a business I'll continue to support.

Don't really love Thai but the exception is Jimmy Thai . Soup and basil beef or chicken or tofu all delicious!! Service is great and Jimmy makes everyone welcome!! Highly recommend!!!!

I been meaning to post my review of Jimmy Thai! Soo let me get into it! The food was amazing! It reminded me of my time when I was in Thailand and I had Thai food. The quality at Jimmy Thai is off the charts. Perfect balance of seasoning and heat! And the veggies were perfectly cooked! That is hard to find at some places. The service was unlike any place I have been. The waitress checked in often and was accommodating as my friend took some time to arrive. And the owner even came out to greet my friend who he knew. Super friendly gentleman! The atmosphere was great really felt at home sitting there having dinner. Overall, I would say give JT a try if you haven't had good Thai food!

This place is so delicious with great service and the weekly lunch special is a great value.
