Jimmy Mac's Roadhouse

If you aren't expecting too much, this will be good for you. Everything food and drink-wise was just okay, prices are very high ($35 for 3 small crabcakes, $41 for combo plates, etc). Changed quite a bit over the years, but still a fun, divey restaurant. We had a party of 8 and 1/2 for a birthday lunch at 2:00. Service was excellent and consistent from our delightful server. However, we had to ask for water, plates, and spoons, plus napkins. Food - was either good or not so good. Husband loved his chopped sirloin and side veggies. I had really been craving crab cakes (as were 2 others) but we were told they were out. What??? That's one of their signature dishes. Pivoting, I selected the crawfish chowder and lite Caesar salad. I've always loved the chowder yet this time it was lukewarm and gloppy with way too many potatoes and bacon. Another casualty was granddaughter's grilled cheese. The cheese wasn't melted and fell off the bread. DIL ordered the pulled pork sandwich but the meat wasn't shredded. She took it out and did it herself. Others enjoyed their dishes and, of course, the rolls and butter! The final thoughtful touch was the free birthday dessert for the birthday boy!One area that they seriously need to fix are the bathrooms. Just disgusting - you could smell urine and sewer before even opening the door. Out of soap, graffiti on the walls, no cover on the floor drain and boxes stacked with paper products against the wall. This could be a go-to place again with some cleaning and repairs. Otherwise, I don't think we'll be returning anytime soon. Wishing them well!

Met a pal here for lunch. First impression is how dark it is inside... which I dont mind so much, but others might. Place was only half full during lunch hours. There was no lunch menu or lunch specials.. prices seemed high to me. I ordered an entree size salad with blackened salmon. Salad was very good, but way it was already tossed in way too much dressing. The salmon was moist and good.Our service was quick, friendly and efficient. I may or may not ever be back.

Love the country atmosphere, crapcakes was good along with the fresh hot sweet rolls and butter. American bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries was great. Staff was friendly with a smile which we like. Made us feel like home in Texas .

I had the best prime rib here and their yeast bread is plus plus plus plus. Omg I ended up having 4 rolls by myself. Free refill. Oh their peanuts are bottomless too. I didn't love their side menus tho. I ordered baked potato and it was alright.. but this is cool place to hangout.

Jimmy Macs Roadhouse was mediocre, and disappointing in relation to price.Before my meal was served, a waiter brought out a basket of bread rolls. This was the only highlight of my $40 meal.I ordered the Caesar salad and combo dinner which included a 6 oz sirloin steak, a crabcake, sweet potato fries, and mac and cheese. The Caesar salad was over-dressed and had way too much cheese in it. One forkful of lettuce got me to my daily sodium intake, yikes! Now, for the combo dinner. The steak was medium rare and had a decent charred flavor. Other than that, the steak was lacking in seasoning. The crabcake looked like it was pre-packaged, and while the flavor was acceptable, the texture threw me off. I enjoyed the taste of the sweet potato fries, but they were limp and barely crispy. Finally, the mac and cheese was good, but I wish the cheese sauce was thicker. Also, it doesn't hurt to put a broiled, cheesy top on the mac itself!Aside from the food, the waitress who served my table was hospitable and took care of any requests that we had. The restaurant is "clean", meaning that the floor was littered with peanut shells. I guess that is part of the restaurant's tradition? You can call that unique, but I reserve the usage of "unique" to the restaurant's tradition, not its food.

Well, this place was a surprise. It's located not very far from the Westfield mall area. We walked in, and there was a box full of peanuts. We served ourselves and were shown to our table. Walking over there were peanut shells everywhere.. I was told that you drop your peanut shells on the floor.. now I'm not used to messing up my table or floor.. let alone a restaurant . Now that for me was totally new but I'm all for a new experience..We ordered for a lot of food and the food was really tasty. The steak was prepared really well, and the sides were ok. The desert, though..ohhhh that was the star. Loved their apple pie.

When we patronize this restaurant, it's usually an order to go. We have been customers of Jimmy Macs for the past 8 years. Our last two orders to go, the food was not up to standard. The ribs were over cooked and dry. Thank goodness for water to wash it down! And I'm not sure why they haven't given us a small container of their bbq sauce with our order. I think we will try other places and maybe return here a few months later to see if they have improved.

Our server was the sweetest! we went here on a whim for happy hour and it did not disappoint. We ordered the loaded potato skins, wings, and of course the bread rolls. The wings and potato skins were good but WOW the bread rolls are something else. We ordered another basket, but when we come back I can't wait for MORE Bread rolls!

Food on point!! Peanuts everywhere on the floor lol, still rocking like day one!! Can't complain been going here for the past 20-25 yrs

Lots of parking & not busy at all, wait time for us was...NONE assuming it's cause everyone was home on a Sunday watching Football, so that was great for us & the teams playing was not ours so why not go out & enjoy a great meal ‍From the time we walked in, got seated & was served, Great Customer service! Our waitress was super friendly & on it w/checking in on us, if we needed refills or anything else? Love that you get peanuts (self serve) while waiting & the best thing is, you don't have to find a spot to place your peanut shells in, you THROW it on the floor Yup! There crawfish chowder is it's a Must Have!servings for the food is worth your $$$assuming this is Washingtons Texas Roadhouse?check it out, if your in town & feeling BBQish
