I can't say enough good things about this diamond in the rough. It's in a great location for starters... Just a stone's throw away from the I-5 freeway in Federal Way. When you pull up, you'd expect Patrick Swayze to greet you at the door with a likeness and feel of the same Roadhouse restaurant and bar we all came to love in the movie he once starred in. Grab yourself a bowl of peanuts on your way through the door and toss your shells on the floor, it only adds to it's ambiance and charm. With an extremely friendly staff and a room full of smiles from ear to ear you'll quickly settle into this roadhouse. Mouth-watering steaks are a mainstay and the warm breadrolls with honey-butter happiness will put your taste buds in bliss. Above and beyond it's warm and inviting charm, you can count on a place genuinely full of friendly and honest patrons. On a side note, I left my coat hanging in the restroom with my wallet and few hundred dollars and several credit credit cards... It was handed in with nothing missing. You don't find many places like this anymore as they are few and far between but you'll regret it for the rest of your life if you don't find this place while passing through town. Kudos for doing everything right!

Extra mayo comes in a packet? The tomato on mine was almost the same size as the largest pickle (see photo). There was no refill on soda or tea, and the wait staff was MIA during the entire meal. Also watched the manager knock off several baskets of rolls onto the ground, calling another staff member to come clean it up ONLY after several guests walked over them when being seated... all the while the manager talked "smack" to the cooks. Very loudly. I'm not sure how I feel about this place.

Those ROLLLLLLLS = it's a great ambiance for families. No mess to clean up because there's peanut shells that cover the floor. It's music and laughter and joy as soon as you walk in. But the food IS top tier to match this inviting atmosphere. Steaks like butter. But again...I go back once a month...just. For. Rollllls!!!

Friends chose this place. The food was good. The waiter was fast, attentive and friendly. Prices seem steep for the ambiance which is redneck land with peanut shells all over the floor. The floor is very slippery. My feet would slide in all directions wearing tennis shoes while waiting for a table.

Jimmy Mac's seems pretty popular. Big crowds! It seems like families like this place for birthdays. We were lucky and got a table in the bar. Service was prompt and friendly and the steaks were okay - not overly seasoned and not too salty. The steak was also correctly cooked to order. I always order medium rare because it seems nearly everyone overcooks beef but these folks were spot on so now I know I can order medium and they'll get it right. The downside is that it's pretty loud.

We are there on Easter. No matter what cut was ordered, the meat was grisly and tough. The best thing about the meal was the free bread and peanuts. It is not cheap to eat there, and they have definitely replaced the meat with low quality cuts. Too bad.

This was a fun place to eat, mostly because you could throw peanut shells in the ground. My cleaning-obsessed self kept putting shells in a bowl and my husband would take it and throw it on the ground and I would cringe. He said this is how we are in Texas and at a friend's house in China, okay dude. Anyway, the food was just okay and a little on the pricey end at that. Hub and I shared the coconut shrimp meal with onion rings (sub for the fries). Shrimp was good, onion rings on the small end and not that many. I got a side Caesar salad that was good, lots of cheese. My daughter got the Mac and cheese with oranges and it was kinda like Kraft Mac and cheese. She loves the canned mandarin oranges tho... :) Our server was great. Really friendly and efficient. Checked on us a few times during our meal to make sure we were good. The restaurant has the roadhouse feel, as indicated in the name heh. It was a little loud, which is nice if you have kids... they can let loose LOL. Would definitely return if in the area. Fun spot if only to throw peanut trash on the ground.

A friend decided we should go here and grab some food. I miss game because I've never been before. It has a lot of kitchy decor in it. Like stepping back into a place that's trying to look like an old farmhouse. Eating peanuts and throwing the shells in the floor oh that's OK. The rolls are delicious. I do have to say that. The service is a bit lackluster. They tend to bring your food and your drinks, and not follow up very quickly. The food was actually well prepared. It was delicious. Lots of flavor. I do highly recommend it however the prices I don't recommend they were a bit of a shock. I'm glad I wasn't paying so I only could give it three stars because of the price, the lack of good service And the decor needs a little bit of an improvement

Showed up on a Thursday night around 6:30pm and only had to wait about 5 minutes for them to get a table for 9 of us ready. As you walk in grab your bowl and fill with the peanuts to wait for a table. Be sure to look around at all the fun license plates and other decorations. Such a great place.Big TV's placed strategically around to watch your favorite sporting teams. We love that! The hostess was super friendly and greeted everyone with a big smile. After getting served our waitress, Kyla, was delightful. She was patient with us as we were looking over the menu. None of us had been here before so we had a hard time deciding.I wish I got a photo of the warm rolls and sweet honey butter! They were SO delicious, guess we scarfed them down too fast to photograph them haWe also ordered a large onion ring for the table that I forgot to take a photo of. They were hot and so good. A nice crisp not greasy tempura rings. Their tartar sauce was perfect too.Everyone loved their meals. We will be back again!

Steak was good and cooked as requested. Onion rings were good as well. Rolls, as always, were good. All of the other sides were pathetic. The sweet potato fries were soggy and tasteless. Fries should be seasoned and crisp. The vegetables were grossly over cooked, thus mush, and again tasteless. Even a little salt would have helped. The salad was watery iceberg lettuce, 3 small onion slices, 3 small tomato slices and croutons. The blue cheese dressing was tasteless. For the cost of the meals everything should have been good and it wasn't. Haven't been here in over 10 years and will never go back.
