The food at Jewel of India was highly disappointing. We went for the lunch buffet and the food selection is very small, does not have curry goat, even on a weekend premium time buffet. The food lacked taste and the only good thing about the place was the fresh Naan they brought to the table.Otherwise it is not worth the $18.99 price tag at all.

Have only tried delivery from here, def will need to go inside soon so can't say much about ambiance. Food is flavorful and delicioussss! Quick service and great food! Will definitely try more of their menu! I ordered lamb saag (a fav of mine) which was impressive as other restaurants lack flavor but here this was amazing! I ordered medium hot and was veryyy pleased! Also ordered garlic naan which also impressed me as no skimping on the garlic like other places! And ordered prawn masala! Satisfied with my experience :) definitely give Jewel Of India a try and order lamb saag!

This place deserves more stars! I was craving tandoori chicken so I called them up and asked if they had it. They did, and I was only expecting the chicken itself but they also gave rice and grilled veggies which was absolutely perfect. Everything tastes just as good as it looks. The owner was very nice and gave me a free desert to go. Will definitely come back.

Ordered take out from here and It was ready and delivered so quickly! Samosas - I liked the dipping sauce but the inside is very spicy! Still delicious however if you cant handle spice id probably sit this one out. Butter chicken - The meat was very tender and juicy which was amazing however I found the sauce to be a bit more tomato sauce flavored compared to butter chicken I have had at other indian food spots. Lamb Biriyani - My favorite thing I have ordered - this is the best biriyani that I have had so far in seattle. It is not a wet mixture its dryer and the seasoning is on point. The lamb was also tender. The medium spicy was perfect for me and with the raita it cut the heat a bit. Naan - it was great! Massive and very comparable to other Indian spots in seattle.

Staying overnight in University District and wanted a nice-ish dinner, but it was late on Veterans Day and a lot of places were closed, so I kind of stumbled in here since I'm always a fan of Indian food. The menu really has everything, but I wanted to get something relatively light and the waiter gave me some really helpful suggestions. I ended up going with the Samosa Chat and a Salty Lassi. Everything was perfect and super flavourful. The samosa chat was an explosion of textures and sweet and savoury curry. The lassi was also loaded with spices and was very rich. Definitely the best lassi I've tried! Prices are totally fair. The eating area was clean, but the bathroom was, for lack of a better word, dank. The kitchen is located in the same dark back hallway which makes me wonder if it's kept in the same condition as the dining room of the bathroom. Nothing appeared off about my food though so I can hope it's the former. It was closing time when I was done eating, and the chef was out helping to clean up after another party and I had the chance to talk with him a little. Like the waiter, he's a really nice guy and cares about the food. The presentation of the food is very nice but the atmosphere is really casual and unpretentious, and it came out quickly, which made this the perfect place for me, and I would definitely recommend it for a quality meal.

$20 ish dollars for the buffet, tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala were pretty decent. It was definitely filling, but gets heavy fast. The buffet itself didn't seem very sanitary. Some of the plates still had a lot of oil and stains and there were flies landing on the food. Probably won't come back, but the savory flavors were there (didn't like the sweets or cold dishes)

Lived in India for years, and raised my kids there. And this is really the only place in Seattle they (now in their 20s) will go for North Indian food. We've tried many restaurants and some do dishes quite well. But for flavor, good portions and feeling like we are back home in Delhi, Jewel of India is our favorite.

The curry at jewel of india is super good. I get this on special occasions with my roommate. We get the chicken tikka masala, the butter chicken, with the garlic naan. With each curry dish you get you also get a plate of rice. The quantity is pretty good. Also the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken taste the same but its still really good.
