One of the best falafel I've had.Kifta and beef kabob punch were very good.The chicken shawarma was meh. Some sort of sour to it. Not for me.Rice was very basic but with that garlic sauce mixed in made it fire.

I've grabbed lunch here a few times and it was fine. My dad is an Iranian Jew, so I always have to manage my expectations with Mediterranean food, but the first time I stopped in here the counter person was so nice that I went out of my way to come back. I just noticed that I had never posted my review. I thought that in the wake of my awful experience at the oak park location I would revisit this review... then I noticed it was only a draft. It's updated. Nothing super special, but it is friendly and convenient.

I've been going here for their lunch special for years, they are right on Roosevelt, and always clean and bright, plus the food is wonderful. I've been not feeling myself and needed to cater for my daughter's birthday party. Thankfully, I saw an ad on my Facebook feed for Jerusalem Cafe. I was able to put in an order a few days ahead, the man who answered was very kind and very helpful. I ordered three trays, the combo tray, the beef shish kabob tray, and the vegetarian combo tray. I hosted over twenty people, and had so much food left over! The trays were packed and everyone asked where I catered from. I'm looking forward to the week of leftovers I have left! Thank you for such a great meal, we all loved it!Everything was packed well, and nothing was missing. All of the salads were fresh and delicious, and the garlic sauce was amazing!

I just wish I took photos but no biggie because I will be back. For 40 dollars we got two huge plates, an appetizer and drinks. These plates consisted of beef and steak also! You simply do not go out to eat for that price anymore.Prices good, cute little cafe, food taste, quality, portion is PHENOMENAL. Never in my life have I had a more tender meat than the shish kabob.Everybody on staff is so friendly and accommodating. They get so busy!!! So many people in and out and I see why.Eisaa thank you so much!! You are a beautiful person with a wonderful business.Shawarma and middle eastern cuisine is my absolute favorite and I could attest this is one of the best places I have ever been. So good on every level.

Tr8ed something different and wanted it to be authentic. Thoroughly enjoyed this "quiet" restaurant. Food was fresh. Service was good. Reminds me of a diner or cafeteria. I ordered the lamb kabob and my gurl ordered a veggie platter.ccant really talk to the veg plate but my gurl.says it was pretty good. However, the lamb was w9nderfully grilled, although if I was asked, I would have wanted the meat prepared with slight pink in the middle. It doesn't take away from how good the food was. My rare 5 spot......
