God awful service and food. I waited at my table for almost 20 mins to even have someone come over and say hello. I would have left before that but it was late and I was from out of town. The servers seemed more interested in taking care of their regulars. I only went to this place after it was recommended by the hotel I was staying at. I was finally greeted and my order was taken. I had the chicken panini. The chicken was dried out and tasteless. I've had better from fast food restaurants. When it came time for the bill they charged me for their workers healthcare costs. You read that right. An actual line item on the receipt had that on there. That should be included in the cost of the food not a line item telling everyone they give their employees healthcare. Virtue signaling? I was also charged 20% automatically for the tip since it was apparently an event night which I couldn't tell since their weren't that many people there. If I had been given the opportunity to reduce what I was going to tip I wouldn't be writing this review. I went back to the hotel I was staying at let them know about my experience to which they said they would stop recommending them.ps I also had to yell loudly "miss" several time to get the attention of the server after my food was brought out and I wasn't given silverware or a napkin. The lady who responded to me finally looked at me and in a condescending tone said "Yes". You could tell on her face she didn't want to help.

We came to Chicago for my friends bday, we originally came here for food and ended up staying for 3 hrs Location: it's a dive bar feel, very casual but comfortable. Parking: We uberedService: for a bunch of young drunk ppl, our service was top tier. They were patient and most importantly didn't have us removedAmbience/Crowd: it's a laidback vibe, you can wear sneakers if that helps. The crowd is mixed... everyone is welcome Food/drink : 6/10 I had the southwest egg rolls, they were good to me! Will I be back? And Why - I'm not rushing back, but I would go here if I came back to Chicago and needed a relaxed vibe

Stopped in for dinner after a day of travel and had a solid experience. Service was a bit slow, but we were in no hurry and they were SLAMMED with customers. Once a few diners left, our service was great, and the food and drink were top notch.It was a group of 4 and we had the pretzel bites to munch on while we waited for our food. They were a nice-sized serving, and very tasty. I got the Buffalo Chicken Salad...one of the best I've ever had. Spicy chicken, blue cheese crumbles AND dressing, and very fresh veggies. It was excellent! Others in our group got the Turkey Burger (good, not remarkable), the Nashville Hot Chicken (they accomodated with grilled chicken on request-nice!), and a Chicken Avocado Wrap - very good.Lots of sides to pick from; solid and very pleasant service, and great drinks. Cool vibe with a ton of TV's to track all the events.

Servers were super nice, got me in to a table while it was crowded, and were very attentive. Meatloaf was excellent. Good selection of beers. Unfortunately a few German ones were out so I picked another and got a discount from my server because she could tell I was disappointed. Good job setting TVs up with sports and having audio on for football. Definitely a place I'll make regular visits to.

We've been eyeballing this place since we moved to the area, but never got around to trying it til tonight! Loved the vibe of this neighborhood restaurant! Even though it wasn't busy when we went, I can totally see this as being somewhere you go any day when you just want some good food, simple drinks, and a chill time with friends. Jefferson Tap checked the boxes for dinner tonight. I like that it's tucked away on the side of the street because sometimes, trying to catch a bite on Randolph or in Fulton Market is just tooooooo much and too loud. It was nice being able to walk in, choose our seats from a variety of indoor and outdoor options, and not have to deal with being around a ton of people. Our server was great! Super nice and came by check on us not too much and not too little. We ordered the pretzel breadsticks (?) with cheese sauce, burger burrito, and the fish & chips. Portions were great for the price in my opinion, and the food was piping hot when it came out. I can see how others may think that it's too pricey, but for the area, it's honestly standard. It's nice to go out and support local restaurants instead of paying literally the same or MORE for delivery from subpar places. Would love to come back again someday!

Had a good day today - saw some of my best friends from work and afterwards I went to the molson coors building and they graciously served me. I had 4 different types of drinks. After that I went to Highline bc my former direct report now directly reports to the person whom I used to directly report to. After acquiring two free drinks I ventured to this lovely spot - which this review is all about. Met my boy UVM mike at J-Tap. Got the smash burger but failed to take a picture because I was SO hungry. Sweet potato fries were awesome. AND, because I checked in on Yelp, I got a free beer with my burger. LFG!!!Buddy of mine from college is supposed to meet me here but I need to be up at 5:45 so I am anguishing over sending him the text that basically says "sorry bro, I'm done for the night"I'm kind of lame now, but that's not the Jefferson Tap's fault. Walked in on Friday 2/16 at 6:05 pm watched the bartender and waitress behind the bar down 2 full shots 5 seconds apart. Waited around for a few minutes to be seated but the staff seemed to distracted to care. I've been here hundreds of times but things have changed. Look elsewhere until they can pull things back together. If this is the way they behave in the front of the house it's a gamble what happens behind closed doors in the kitchen.

We recently hosted an event in the Loft and it was the perfect space. The staff was amazing and the use of the screens and TV's made it a great place for a presentation. They prepared a signature mocktail and the steady flow of hot pizzas made for easy grab and go food for networking. We can't wait to host another event with Jefferson Tap and Grill. Great food, but service has gotten so slow the past few times I was there. Hadn't gotten my food till the end of my lunch hour and there doesn't seem to be a sense of any urgency. I really don't want to go there anymore and usually don't recommend it to anyone.
