JCI-James Coney Island-Woodlands

We came for the .98 cent coneys tonight. The line was so long for the drive thru, but what do you expect when it's .98 cent coneys! The line moved at a very good pace though. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They got all of our order right too! Haven't had JCI in a while, but this pregnant lady needed a break from cooking. JCI for the win! The onions seem like they'd be overwhelming, but omg it tastes so perfect with the chili and cheese. We'll def be back next month for the next .98 cent coney day! Lol!

I did the drive through and the service was fast and amazing. They guy on the other end was very polite, he even introduced himself to me before asking for my order. I ordered the gourmet chili cheese dog which was very tasty. The bread was toasted to perfection and the dog was definitely quality meat. I have no complaints and I do see myself coming back in the future. I wish I took a picture of my hotdog before I devoured it but I didn't waste anytime diving in.

My husband considers JCI the only hot dogs suitable for eating. I don't eat meat, so he really looks forward to the Lenten season when they put a shrimp roll on the menu. I imagine we will be going on a weekly basis until the shrimp roll comes off the menu. It's pretty tasty. I also love their cheese fries with extra onions, I love the tiny dice on them. My husband always has three (or four if he is willing to not feel well afterwards) cheese coneys and chili cheese fries with extra onions, he usually has a debate about whether to get fries or tots, but hasn't been able to make the leap to tots. Because of the large onion consumption he declares that we better leave smelling like an armpit. It's always clean, the service is pretty friendly, and it makes my husband so happy. I just wish they would put a veggie dog on the menu so we could go year round, maybe someday.

It is with great sadness that I report the death of a once great place to grab a good lunch at a reasonable price! I remember picking James Coney over numerous hamburger places just to have something different and tasty! I now must report a totally self absorbed corporate chain that thinks that with hip name change (JCI Grill) will have people flocking to throw money at sub-par food!Absolutely disgusting, the hotdogs are no bigger around than a dime , the limited amount of chili was almost fully absorbed into the bun and the 1/2 spoon full of onions, well j it at fell short. Very Sad, don't waste your time eating at a onetime National Institute with a brand name that delivered quality and quantity! Hungry Man Comb, what a joke!

I'm from Dallas and whenever I go to Houston I get this when I'm leaving. This location is clean and they're so polite. I got the foot long chilli dog and the baked tots and got a sweet tea. The tea is really good, the chilli dog is one of the best I've had and I just love their baked tots. Definitely will go back next time like always.

I was so disappointed, when I first walked in, there was a smell that could have been from a sewage issue, the chili was cold. I have been eating at james Coney Island for at least 60 years, but I have 2nd thoughts now.

BOMB.COM !!!!! This takes me back to old school drive hops and drop top cars. Sooooo good! I had their chili cheese hot dog and chili cheese tots. Perfect chili and cheese!! They used a soft grilled French bread, oh yes! And the chili is perfect. The corn dogs have the perfect amount of sugar and crunch. A cute little surprise of ice cream topped with sprinkles comes with any kids order item. The corn in a cup could have used som more butter and crema but this place is still getting 5 stars bc it was that good!!

Only Hot Dog I ever eat!!! And it's a must stop Every time that I'm in Houston !!!The Chili Cheese Fries are SO addictive!!!

Restaurant was spotless. Staff were super friendly. Food was good, and hot. I'll be returning when in town. I get up on James Coney Island and moved away. It's been a long minute since I had any. It was worth the stop.

Craving a good hot dog? Need some specialty dog selections? Definitely worth a stop here. Nice Chicago dog with the signature poppy seed bun and sport peppers included. Don't forget the bright green relish. They can also make a mean toasted bun!
