I've been going here for decades (even before it was Jay Berry) but recently had such an uncomfortable experience I won't be going back:(I sat in the bar with a friend who also frequently dines there. Immediately the waitress came over, but quickly asked me for my ID (I'm 42 years old and was with my friend who is in her 50's). I went to get my ID but noticed she didn't card my friend. I thought that was weirdly unprofessional so I asked her why she was only carding me to which she replied "Oh I know her, I don't know you. I just said okay kind of questionably, and showed her my ID then sat down and started to catch up with my friend who I hadn't seen in about a year. The waitress didn't come back to our table for several minutes but did bring a drink for my friend because apparently she knew what my friend liked to drink. She didn't even ask me or bring us a menu or anything. Finally, we ended up ordering happy hour and chatting for a few minutes. Upon closing out we had only finished half of our happy hour plate and asked for a few boxes. She looked right at me (mind you both myself and my friend didn't finish our two happy hour plates), and said "I can't let you take it home because you have to have eaten half of it." I looked at my friend and then at her and asked, "Okay, isn't that half that we ate though?" She aggressively took my and my friend's plate and then came back with our orders boxed up. Of course, this was uncomfortable, considering her previous behavior toward me. We paid and left.I wasn't going to think much more about it, but it was continuing to bother me and I think it's important they and the public know of the potential biased behavior for future and past patrons. This really left a bad taste in my mouth, and even more, when I opened my box, she hadn't put my entire order inside, leaving out the dip part. To be honest, I was so uncomfortable about the whole thing, I wasn't going to dare eat it for fear she did something to it, so opening it to find she didn't even box it up just made it worse. Nevertheless, that is my story and I'm personally never taking that risk again. Good luck to you all, I hope your experience is not like mine... and for Jay Berry; maybe consider training for fair treatment to support sustainable and ethical business practices. Thanks!

We came here for brunch on a weekday holiday and the parking lot was almost full! We ordered the French Toast Breakfast which includes 3 pieces of thick slides French toast served with 2 eggs any style, 2 slices of bacon and a sausage link and also The Southwestern Omelet which is a flurry omelet loaded with fresh avocado, topped with pepper jack cheese and fresh diced tomatoes served with salsa and hash browns and toast (or other bread of your choice). It was a very filling meal. We enjoyed the amount of filling that the omelet had, although it could have been fluffier like the description had suggested. The hash browns were pretty standard but we would have liked it to be cooked a little longer so that it was crispier. Overall the menu was pretty extensive and there's definitely other offerings that we would come back to try. It was a little stuffy in the seating area though - there wasn't much air flow and it was a little strange that they were vacuuming when they had so many customers but

I've passed by this cafe numerous times but didn't realize what it was or how large it was inside. I went on a Saturday and the lot and restaurant were packed. Three of us waited about 15 minutes to be seated, and the restaurant was definitely busy. I'm not sure if we were forgotten or if service is typically slow, but it was almost 30 min before we placed our order for food. We waited for a long time before we got our food and it was pretty standard diner food, nothing special. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs, and the portion was decent sized but it wasn't anything wow worthy. It took us awhile to flag someone down to get a box and the bill so we could leave, so don't come here if you're in a rush (or have small impatient children!).

We came into Jayberry's as a party of 2 on Sunday at about 9:00 AM. We were able to be seated right away, and were offered a cinamon roll to take with us to go. We enjoyed their coffee, mimosas, and I ordered an Eggs Benedict for myself. I loved their formaggi sauce with the eggs, which were poached perfectly. Their food, flavors and ambiance were fantastic. I can't wait to come back!

We've only been once but will return. Love the family/local feel, the food was great (I had the chef's pizza) and we're looking forward to returning for breakfast too.

The wait here is crazy! Especially if you have to wait by the door! it's hella cold! But other than that I don't have any complaints. All of the staff was super friendly and eager to help. The food was good size portion and some good flavor. The gravy did not disappoint. The tots with the cheese sauce was really good! Def recommend!!

The $4 bloody mary was one of the best bloodys I've ever had. It's a comfy dive bar vibe; great prices and the food was fuego! The pancakes were giant and fluffy and the Hot Tots were crispy and flavorful.

I have found my new breakfast place! Me and my fiancé used to love to go to Issaquah Café but after many many months of waiting sometimes 45 minutes to an hour for a table on the weekends, we decided we needed adventure out and try something new. Always when we pass by Jay berrys we've always said we need to try that place... Well, today we gave into our temptations. Got there about 9 o'clock and literally was seated five minutes later. Amazing breakfast menu. I had the biscuits and gravy with one à la cart pancake, my fiancé had three pancakes with a side of sausage and eggs, and my future mother-in-law had the chicken fried steak. When we got our food, everything looked amazing, I've had biscuits and gravy and past places, and it was so bland, the gravy had no sausage in it, and just tasted like flour. This sausage gravy was amazing! Had a little kick to it which I liked, and the biscuits were thick and fluffy. The pancake was by far the best pancake I've ever had... Not thin and flimsy, thick and fluffy and full of flavor. My fiancé is about 6 foot four and can eat a lot... He barely made it through half the stack of three pancakes and he had to throw in the white towel. My future mother-in-law said her chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly, and her eggs were good too. With tax and tip out the door came to a little over $70. We have found our new breakfast place and will be back. The service by Desiree was also impeccable, she was very attentive and never did we need to ask for anything... No need to ask for refills on water or coffee or napkins... She constantly made sure we were taken care of!We will be back !!!

I've only been to this place twice. The first time I went there with my father in law was this past Thursday. We went there about 12 ish in the afternoon. I had ordered their western bbq burger, and my father in law ordered the corned beef hash. The food was tasty, and the service was great. I would have given that day a 5 star review. Today, Saturday afternoon, at about 1:30, I brought my wife to enjoy the great food and service we had gotten a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same wonderful experience we had a couple of days prior. The first disappointment was that we couldn't order lunch at 1:30. Wth?! Apparently, breakfast on the weekends is until 2 pm. Then they will serve lunch from 2 pm. I guess dinner is served from 5 pm. So breakfast is from 7am - 2pm. Lunch time is a 3 hour window. It's kind of a silly concept. Oh well, that's something you should consider if you want a late lunch. The second disappointment was the service. I think they were shot handed. They only had one waitress, and she was trying her best to be on top of things, but she was having a hard time managing 6 or so tables. People were waiting for refills of coffee and drinks, waiting for their checks, etc. Because we couldn't order from the lunch menu, I decided to try the traditional breakfast, and my wife had the chicken and waffles. My traditional breakfast was good, my wife's breakfast was just ok. The waffles seemed burnt, and the sauce for the chicken was just ok. The overall ambiance is ok, an old-time feel. The floor seems to dip in with every step of people who walk by the tables. Yes, shaking the tables a bit. It didn't matter if the person was small or big. Seems like the floor rafters and floor itself need to be replaced to make it sturdier. This place definitely can be really great with some changes and tweaks. It definitely has to have good consistency.

A friend and I had dinner here on a Saturday evening, for the first time in a couple years. Though the bar section was fairly crowded, the dining area had a many tables available. Expecting the large portions the restaurant is known for, we split our meal, chicken cordon bleu, along with the dinner salad. Our meal was fine, though nothing special, big enough that, even having split the meal, there was enough leftover to take home. The problem was that our entree arrived too fast. After getting our salads, we had barely taken a couple forkfuls when our meal arrived. This gave us very little time to enjoy our salads, a sip of wine, and some conversation. It felt like we were being rushed into having our meal.
