Cool little drive-thru place for a quick and delicious cup of whatever perks you up! If you're nearby, it's worth a stop and might become part of your morning routine. Every drink I've had here has been great. I love that it's so fast and the prices are reasonable. Also, be sure to get a loyalty card so you can earn free drinks! Something else that makes this worth the stop is the florist who sets up shop right next door, so you get a fresh beverage and a fresh bouquet in one easy stop!

The açaí bowl at Java Shack is delicious & the owner is the sweetest. Definitely swing by to get your caffeine / açaí fix.

Delicious!! Just stopped through the drive through to try Java Shack! Ordered a cold brew and it was perfect! Very smooth! I highly recommend giving them a try!! They also offer online ordering!!

Lori is the owner and operator of this ADORABLE small business, and I love her to pieces! She's friendly and reliable and makes a fantastic iced Milky Way latte. She will remember your order and it's really a good sense of community. I've tried everything on the menu at some point and all of it is great. She's efficient and you can drive thru, the only drive thru coffee in the area. Also great for a quick lunch. Def a great place to grab your morning coffee!

Great small local coffee house! Had the cold brew and açaí bowl. Both were delicious! Excellent music and outdoor seating to enjoy the perfect SD weather. Will be back here again. Thank you!

I stopped here when looking for a drive thru coffee place. My iced vanilla latte was amazing! It wasn't too sweet and the coffee flavor was great. It was also really quick! I'll be back :)

My co-workers are always bringing these delicious Acai bowels to work from this place so of course I went myself to get the tea on this establishment honey and this is what ive found.....A tiny shack that only has one employee that runs and opens it promptly at 7am. The shack has a walk up as well as a drive thru. There are 4 designated spots that the Java Shack and a flower shop share for you to park at including a cute little table to sit. This place sells coffee, lattes, hot chocolate, biscottis, Acai bowels, and little snacks like chips and sodas. What this place is known for is the Acai bowels. I beleive they only have one kind because ive been twice and have received the same one that consists of frozen acai slusheeness at the bottom, coconut shavings, granola, honey, peanut butter, starwberries and bananas. The ingredients are very well put together and taste amazing. I would defintley say this place is the under dog of Acai bowels. It doesnt get the recognition that it should so thank God for yelp my Jesus!

I was visiting the area for a work trip and looking for coffee/ pastries to bring to the office. MUCH better than going the Panera / Starbucks route plus the added benefit of supporting local. Convenient online ordering to make your morning pickup even faster. Delicious pastries and scones from a local bakery - light and flakey. Favorite (so far!) is the white chocolate cranberry. Also on my list to try - brownies, muffins, bagels, paninis. The Acai bowl a delicious and will be part of my morning fix for breakfast when I am visiting.Quick in and out plus delicious!

When we visit San Diego this is one of the first places we head to. Love the açaí bowl and mocha latte! We always make sure to stop at least a couple times while we are here. The owner is so sweet!

It's been almost a whole year since I left my last review. Figured that I'd check back in and let everyone know that Java Shack is a 6 star experience now if yelp would offer it. All the locals seem to stop by now, don't suffer FOMO! The shack has an updated menu, cool new lighting and music, and other visual refreshes. Coffee is as good as ever and still stopping by at least once a week. Thanks Lori!
