Probably one of the worst experiences. The service was horrendous. The old lady server didn't provide enough menus, the banchan was only enough for one bite, the receipt wasn't itemized, the donkatsu was thin and dry, and she tried to recycle old lettuce from another table when we asked for more. Never going back.

Tried their stuff a few times over the years, I really tried to like them as it's an retro-feeling mom & pop sorta, but their product is just not that good. The latest time I had was a couple of weeks ago, and it didn't blow you away, again.Flavorless jokbal a.k.a. the trotters, not so moist bossam a.k.a. the steamed pork belly that gets dry too quick like my stash, spicy jokbal with no hard statement but that gets no where and leave you stranded and begging for more. The radish pickle salad and veggies that come with the bossam, again, flavorless and gets bad too quickly. All the left overs went to the garbage can after sadly sitting inside the fridge for less than a day; we just knew we weren't gonna eat 'em.Sorry but sticking with the Jok-A, an alternative that will also leave you craving for more every time - just a lesser of two evils...

My son(10yrs) and I visited here and ordered half and half jokbal and soon-du-bu. It was amazing. My son kept saying it is so good and It was the best jokbal I ever had!!! And the server was so kind and friendly. Definitely will visit again.

This restaurant is hidden and tucked away in the plaza with LA Fitness. Inside, the cozy, dark wood tones and beige walls will make you feel at home. There are tables and private booths for seating. We notice 80% of food produced here was for take out orders ~ so, we assume this is more of a to-go spot than sit down. Things you should know:I. PARKING Within the LA Fitness plaza, there's a massive public lot out front with plenty of free available spaces.II. SERVICE Sweet and kind. Very timely. III. QUALITY Hm, well. When it came to this part of the review I can't say many good things. For the expensive prices, the food wasn't up to par with other competing restaurants. The Tteok Mandu Guk I ordered had very watered down broth ~ not much flavor. And the kimchi was extremely sour. Maybe we came on a bad day but I'd like to try a takeout order here to see if there's more to this place than my one experience. IV. CAPACITY Lots and lots of open tables for a Friday evening. Since this restaurant is so hidden, I believe it's become a to-go place more than a dine-in location.

atmosphere: located in a plaza, it has a couple of booths and some tables. No public restroom per the sign on the door. food: we came here specifically because it was one of the top results whenever we typed in soondae/sundae on yelp. my husband and i shared- sundae guk ($11.99): sundae is a korean style blood sausage stuffed with of course, blood, noodle, and different veggies. this soup has a spicy base with veggies, and is boiled with cuts of the sausage and served with a bowl of rice. the soup comes out piping hot/boiling in a clay pot. the flavor is rich, satisfying, and spicy. would definitely get again. - yukgaejang man dut guk ($14.99): i've never actually seen yukgaejang in a dumpling soup form. yukgaejang is a spicy beef and leek soup that is very hearty and so good. usually this is served with a bowl of rice and but this one came with dumplings that served as the "carbs/starch" for the dish so no rice was served. was really good, would get this again as well!overall, the menu offered items that i thought were unique and different. the two entrees we got were very good, would love to try their other dishes!

Pig feet has a weird 5 spice taste for my tastebuds. The rice taste good. The potato "stew" was very runny and bland.

Came here tonight with my parents as they are visiting and rarely get to eat Korean food much where they live in Florida. This is NOT a BBQ place, be forewarned. They have traditional items that are not popular for Non-Koreans, but they are still worth a visit. My parents were excited to order the pigs feet. It's not something I would order for myself, but it came with a huge portion and lots of side dishes to enjoy with the meal. The meat was both lean and also had some fattier slices. You can enjoy it with a lettuce cup, or plain still flavored nicely. It was really fun to see how pleased they were. They also split a stew, I ordered spicy mung bean dumpling soup tonight. Perfect level of spice. Lots of beef, onions, egg, and mung beans. Large portion for me.The side dishes were tasty, they were generous with refills and my parents were super happy with the service and quality of the food. We did not come close to finishing the meal- they gave a couple side sauces that go with the pig so they could enjoy this another day. This is a small business located in the same plaza a few shop stores next to LA Fitness. I would recommend supporting the owners, looks like Covid has really hurt their walk in business.

Jang Choong Dong is located in a plaza that is hidden away from the intersection of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road. Now, you will say, I can see Kroger and La Fitness. That is true. However, if you go to the far right of LA Fitness, the plaza extends and this is where Jang Choong Dong is located. Unfortunately, you won't see the restaurant name as "Jang Choong Dong" but it is written in Hangul. While walking in, you get the feel of South Korea or what I see in kdramas and movies. You are greeted by a bunch of ajuhma and ajusshi. They are friendly but there is a little language barrier.I ordered the veggie pancake and kimchi tofu soup. There are not that many veggie options but I am always down for veggie pancake and kimchi tofu soup. It came not too long later. The pancake was fluffy. I didn't like the sauce that came with it too much cause it's salty. I put the pancake in my tofu soup though. It was deliciously spicy and sour! You get complimentary warm barley tea too. Ask for a glass of water if you want too.37/2021

So far I consider this a hidden gem for people in Johns Creek. We ordered the Jokbal (pigs feet) to-go - first of all I didn't realize it was so close, secondly, I couldn't find it because google maps dropped me at Popeyes. This is a small restaurant behind Dunkin' Donuts and I plan to try their other dishes soon. The Jokbal was plentiful and delicious. Pretty standard for this area, as most of the Jokbal in town is pretty good. The side dishes were fresh - radish, a lettuce mixture, garlic and japaleno, and the sauces, for around $45 out the door (medium size). I'll definitely order here again, and I want to try the soondae next, and will update!

The beef leak soup is one of the greatest dishes I have ever had. We go back just for that. Not fancy inside but who cares when the food is this good. The broth is something magical and the right proportion of noodles and meat/veggies. We have been to nearly every Korean restaurant in Atl area and this is near the top of the list.
