Nice clean dining room.. TV's was showing the Hawks game.. Plenty of parking... Friendly staff... My party and I ordered the oxtails dinner but they were out at the time so we had to wait 1hr for them to make some more... While I waited I had a beef patty which was good and fresh.. Customer service was really good, they kept us updated on the food and when it was ready they gave us a little bit more than the normal because of the wait time.. Food was super good, oxtails, mac & cheese, and plantains... Really good and I will definitely come back, might be better to order online to avoid wait time.

I spent $50 to receive food that sucks!!!! Cabbage waaaay too salty... purchased a large oxtails and my friend purchased 2 larges oxtails and we literally got 5 little pieces that were NOT tender at all... plantains were initially left out of our plates then once I said something added them but they were hard, dry and not ripe at all! Very disappointed... spending this type money, food should be top notch eeeeeverytime! Smh

We had very high hopes for this place. We'd run into a vendor originally from Jamaica and asked him what his go-to places were for authentic food and specifically oxtails. This place was the top of his list, largely for the jerk chicken. He pulled it up on his phone and showed it to us. I was excited by the recommendation because I recognized the place immediately on sight, as we are often in the same plaza for other reasons. We went in fully expecting to love it...and had the exact opposite experience. The restaurant is clean and well-lit. That's where the positive experience ends.I left my family in the car (as the children were sleeping) and went in to get food to go. The woman on the cash register was rude without provocation--my attempt to place my order was interrupted with short, snippy responses; an annoyed tone; and no eye contact. I'd studied the menu and began my order:Me: I'd like a small brown stewed red snapper, and...Her: No smalls. Only large. Me: *trying to catch her eye to see if she's joking* [I look back and forth between her and the menu behind her a few times, fully expecting her to crack a smile. She doesn't, so I study the menu again where is clearly has pricing for small and large plates listed for all items] Still me: ooookay, I'd also like an oxtail dinner. Her (to lady making plates): large red snapper and large oxtailHer (to me, still not looking at me): *gives my total*Me: *still trying unsuccessfully to catch her eye* so is there a reason there are no smalls today? Are you out of the containers, or is there something else going on?Her: *still not looking at me* no smalls ever on the seafood. It only comes in large.Me: [looking back at the menu attempting to understand] do the other dinners come in both small and large? Her: *affirms that they do*Me: why does the menu have both small and large listed for the seafood? Her: *still not looking at me* it's old, needs to be updated.Me: okay, what are my side options? Her: it comes with cabbageMe: can I swap out the cabbage on one of the plates? I'd like yams with the oxtailHer: *still not looking at me* we don't have yams. Only cabbage.Woman making the plates: *walks over to speak wi the me and looks at me* we have Mac and cheese. I can put that on but it's an extra chargeI declined the Mac and cheese, accepted all the explanations, and pay for my food. I'm quoted a 15 minute wait, which felt accurate to the amount of time I waited. We got the food home and it was literally just okay. Everything lacked seasoning. The oxtails were almost tasteless without seasoning and the only flavor on the red snapper was tomato-based sauce it was covered in. I wouldn't consider it brown stewed at all.My toddlers happily ate the plantains and the saucy veggies from my fish. The rice and peas were fine. We won't be back.

I'm back at it again with another one. I tried oxtails for the first time from here and they were amazing. My only take away would be that the portion sizes have gotten a little measly. But that's OK. I still feel like I got a great deal because the food is always delicious. This time I tried the pineapple and ginger juice... Damn! The service was great. I haven't met these two people who work behind the counter before but they were very nice. I like what they've done with the place as well.

If you're visiting Atlanta or the surrounding area, don't forget to stop by the Jamaican Taste restaurant. The food is soooo good and fresh. Never disappoints and always excellent service. The ambiance is relaxed, great music and a vibe you'll never forget. The restaurant is really clean and spotless and never has those annoying gnat flies I see at other Jamaican spots. My favorite is curry shrimp and goat with rice and peas and cabbage. Love the coco bread and all the Pattie's they sale (beef, chicken and spinach). Even if it's your first time trying Jamaican food, they're really sweet as I bought my friend with me that wasn't too familiar and they treated her like family. Fast service as well!

I was disappointed when I got home and saw how small the portions were. it looks like as if they are fixing kids size food for adult pricing. I have never had this experience before at a Caribbean restaurant.

I went into the location to get jerk chicken. The fried rice, it says it's $19. I was charged twenty-one dollars.I was charged four dollars for the rise, and I was told I'd be eight dollars morph.I wanted peas and rice. When I called to ask, why was I charge one prize versus what was on the website? He had no explanation, just said. Oh, I guess that's what? It is not worth twenty-five dollars, but I can go down the street to caribbean cuisine and get the same quality of that better for a moderate price. The gentleman completely liked in customer service. As a matter of fact, he had none.Don't waste your money and your time

Let me first start off by saying I've never had a problem with this place until today. I went in and ordered my usual which is the large oxtail, rice peas no plantains extra cabbage. While waiting on my food I noticed the guy fixing the food just slanging the food into trays causing the gravy's etc to leak all over the boxes. When he started fixing my plate he put one spoon of cabbage and about 4-5 pcs of oxtails on my plate (remind you I ordered a large). I continued to watch him fix small plates that had the same amount of food as mine. When the lady gave me my box I opened it and mentioned to her that I ordered a large but the guy fixed me a small. The lady told the guy and he proceeded to say " Oh these damn Americans" then slammed the box on the counter put one oxtail in it and closed the box. I asked him for my extra cabbage and he said" oh you not getting no more damn food. After that I was livid bc if I'm paying damn near $40 for a large I expect a large plate and not small. The guy continued to talk under his breath. After today this place will no longer get my service.
