Located in a parking lot on Rayford, you'll find this amazing Jamaican shack/food truck! Not hard to miss with the loud reggae music blasting and fantastic smells of carribean cuisine floating through the air. You're immediately greeted by a nice gentleman who takes his time to educate you on all of what's available on the menu; I think it's only him who works the truck as nobody else was there inside. We ordered the Jerk Chicken platter and Oxtail platter, both with a side of rice and peas! An absolute 10/10 for both meals. Cabbage was well seasoned, the rice and peas were thoroughly cooked and flavorful, and lastly the Jerk Chicken and Oxtails were falling off the bone engraved in juices! On weekends they even have free all you can drink vodka and rum punch while you wait for your meal! My only complaint is they are a bit pricey, however I definitely recommend checking this place out if you want some authentic islander food!

This is a new establishment and there's still some growing pains in order to reach its full potential. The food was good but as it grows, I'm sure it will get better. I suggest ordering ahead of time because if you go you may wait a while. I will return for more..

This place was just ok. My husband and I got the curry goat which was delicious. We were more so disappointed with the side dishes. It came with red beans and rice and cabbage. The steamed cabbage had no seasoning or flavor. The red beans and rice was extra dry. Then we got jerk sauce to go on top and it was sweet. I never had sweet jerk sauce before. I had left an interesting taste. To top it off, the service was bad. We place two separate orders. She couldn't get the order right. No matter how you explained it to her, she just didn't get it. Will I return? No! It's not worth my money, time, or energy.

I wish I could give this place a higher rating; but I can't. We have to expect excellence even more when it is our people. We arrived and based on the google the restaurant should have been open. It was not, so we called, and the owner said he was on his way; he was running a little late. Almost 1 hour later he arrives and says give him 20 minutes to get the food out. We should have left then, but we wanted to support a black business. We ordered oxtails, 2 curry chicken, jerk chicken and a beef patty. My husbands jerk chicken was shredded pieces of meat and old food. The vegetables were soggy, lacked flavor, and not fresh. The peas and rice were gummy, and not fresh. My curry chicken came out hot on the outside but cold in the middle, again old food. When I told him about my food he said he had made it fresh and just got it out of the pot. I asked him to stick his finger through the middle of the plate to feel the frozen pieces. He argued that is was fresh food. He said that the beef Pattie'sWould take 30 minutes to make, because he made it from scratch. He brung the Pattie's out 10 minutes later, obviously microwaved. Our sons oxtails were previously cooked and frozen too. He got so sick, that we throw away all the other food. We paid 100 bucks for food that was uneatable. The owner complained the whole time of not making enough money at that location. He even told us that the reason he was late was because he wasn't feeling it. He forgot when we called him, he told us he was running late. I debated on writing this review, however, I would be doing this business owners and it's patron's a disservice if I didn't. Hopefully, this owner will take this criticism and make some changes.

Oxtails we're delicious and very reasonably priced. The best rice and peas I've ever had. It's in like a good truck lot so there's limited seating but you can dine there.
