Jamaican Jerk King

The food is excellent. I drive 3 hours just to ear the jerk catfish over rice and peas, mac and cheese, and cabbage. Tony is awesome and I will be back.

It's been a while since I've been to this place. Had the jerk chicken, sides, wings, and turkey tips. All were very well seasoned and flavorful. Portions are good, and the service was friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Absolutely NOT! Don't waste your money! I read the comments and decided to still give them a chance. I wish I didn't. We didn't even eat this. A complete waste of money. I also ordered a beef Pattie and it was soft as if they reheated it or got it out the freezer section.

Solid option for jerk food! The staff is friendly and the food is tasty.The jerk salad is always a generous serving. A little heavy on the onion but good overall! Next time we'll order extra jerk sauce on the side!The Oxtails aren't terrible, yet not my favorite. It seems as if they don't sell out of the bulk, you'll get yesterdays left overs. I'd like to try them super fresh/just made.I'm appreciative that they have a large option of sides! Looking forward to exploring more of their menu.

I order from here the other day. I had the oxtails OMG I was so disappointed they were so tough even the little pieces. The flavor was on point but I couldn't even chew it. The bread was rock hard I MEAN HARD. I know when they picked the slice up to put on the plate they could feel how hard it was. A complete waste of $35. To the cook maybe just maybe you should taste/check for tenderness. Because if this is what you guys are putting out then I completely understand the 3star rating.

Fire! Fire! Fire! Not set up for full service eating inside but it is some of the best take out! I got red snapper, jerk chicken, and catfish! I enjoyed every single drop of food! Will be a frequent stop, don't let the hood fool ya for a good meal!

Stop at McDonald's across the street afterwards, I hear the salads are back. Because this is not good and VERY SALTY. The cabbage was extremely salty with hard carrots. The oxtails were tough and the plantains were hard and dry. I ordered several meals. The mixed chicken was good, passable but this does not taste like any Jamaican I've EVER had or experienced, or ever want to experience again. I spent over $60 to be disappointed. Nothing Jamaican about it, including the staff on duty at the time. Yuck!

I can't give you guys a bad score because I don't like to knock on local business, but I will be honest about the food.Ok, where do I start? This is not Jamaican food. " prove me wrong" I ordered the Jerk Chicken and stew chicken dinner platter.The stew chicken- #1)big pieces of meat and the entire drum stick which are usually cut up into smaller pieces but they decided to throw the whole thing in the pot. #2) it's salty and rubbery, not brown stew chicken. #3) cabbage and other vegetables are extremely salty.The jerk chicken- I don't want to write more because I hear my ancestors crying. To the business owner I apologize for being so blunt, but Is not Jamaican food. Feels like someone went to Jamaica and had great Jamaican food and decided to come back to Chicago and decided they should open a restaurant.

The lady basically stole my money I ordered of Uber eats she waited until the driver got to the restaurant to call to say she don't have what I ordered. Knowing uber eats wasn't going to refund if I cancelled. She told me to cancel order. Instead of going ahead and canceling the order. She claimed it's because I don't have the updated app which makes no sense. I don't appreciate being robbed. 28$ for nothing at all.

Wings were delicious and house jalapeno ranch . I love it when I go to places where no one looks like me and I get great food, service and conversation!
