The owners is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet . The food is amazing . The jerk chicken plate never disappoints, the cabbage is unlike anything I've ever had . My husband loves the oxtail be used to frequent island spice but this is now our go to Tuesday nights at the farmers market . The beef and chicken patties are also delicious! The only thing we have not tried is the bbq chicken but it smells equally as good as the rest of the food . If you come out to the Otay Ranch Farmers market stop by for sure it's arguably the best food at the market in my opinion . Don't let the line deter you it's definitely worth the wait ! I'd give them 10 stars if I could !

Simply delicious. There's timeless advice to follow the crowds at farmer's markets when you're unsure of what to get. This proved true again at Jamaican Jerk Hut. Visited in a Tues evening at the Otay Ranch Farmer's Market. There was indeed a long line but I took that as a good sign. Plus, good things come to those who wait, right? The menu is focused and reasonably priced: $8 for bowls and $10 for plates. The former includes rice and your choice of protein. The latter adds veggies and plantains. Credit cards are accepted.I opted for a classic jerk chicken plate. Super tasty and filling. The sides might've been ever better than the protein! Service was very friendly too. The owner was charismatic and treats you as if you've been friends for life. Overheard chatted with lots of regulars too.Great spot! Excited to return at a future farmer's market.

It was soooo gooood!!!!! I ate jerk chicken bowl($8) and a beef patty($4), chicken was seasoned well, patty had a nice kick to it and authentic. I can't stop thinking about it I will 100% come back! If you're not familiar with Jamaican food, just try jerk chicken. It's the best

There's not many Jamaican spots around here but I think it's pretty descent. I always get the oxtail combo with the rice cabbage and plantains. The service is great! The ambiance is grab n go since this is at the otay's farmers market on Tuesday nights.

Food was amazing. Had the Oxtail Combo and it didn't disappoint. Tender and a little fatty, it is a satisfying dish. The rice and beans under the oxtail were the perfect combo.Also had a chicken pattie. Can't beat it for $3. Nice lil kick of spice to it.The owner is a lighthearted guy who can strike up a conversation with anyone. He even offers some bbq chicken and rice if you have little ones. Super friendly. I always get a little something from here at the farmers market in Otay Ranch.

Gray food will eat there again Customer service is excellent. I am most pleased with the total passionate, caring and service.

The food is so legit AND dude is so cool. Even my picky toddler eats the jerk chicken, plantains, rice and beans. The line can be long but moves quickly so don't be intimidated. Solid, solid food and service.

Best Jamaican food ever! You have to try the oxtail plate and the chicken patties. You'll thank me later. It's so good that we go every Saturday.
