This week was my first trip ever to Jai Thai. I was with a group of nine people wandering around Fremont on what turned out to be restaurant week. We found Jai Thai easy to find a table and be seated with fancy drinks and plenty of food options. The menu has so many options and the soups and noodles looked terrific. We ordered some appetizers in the spicy chicken wings and fresh roles. I'd say the spicy wings are NOT spicy at all so don't worry there, but you'll be a bit disappointed if you're wanting some spice. My food was fine as I got the swimming Rama. The group had a few alcoholic drinks and including the tip every paid about $50 each for a nice dinner. It was great for a large group and I would recommend and go again.

Had dinner here with a friend last night. The place was clean, with a moderate noise level. Service was great. The food was good. We started with fresh rolls, served with a peanut sauce that was a bit bland. I'm used to rolls having some herbs (mint, basil, something) to help with flavor. This seemed to be missing, and with nothing in the sauce to add additional flavor, it wasn't my favorite dish. My friend had Tom Yum soup and enjoyed it... although she said it wasn't as spicy as she expected it to be. Her fried rice dish, in the other hand, had allll the spice. She said it was great, although spicier than she had thought it would be. I had a combo plate with spicy eggplant. I loved the eggplant dish with tofu - everything was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. Would totally order it again. Although, I'd probably skip the combo plate... it was more did than I needed and the phad thai was just okay. I ordered both with a spice level of 2, and probably should have gone to 3 on the phad thai.

The service was amazing. The women were so nice and welcoming and even gave me a free drink. The ambiance was really nice as well. Very spacious and a nice place to be. The food was decent, but I found there to be something lacking with both my curry and pad Thai. The pad Thai was a little too sweet and not very authentic tasting. My Thai ice tea was incredible, though.

Recommended place when in u district.Affordable price and big portion of the food, quite authentic flavor as well.Although Pad Thai was a little bit too sweet to me, I had same experience sometimes in Thailand also.Pad Kee Mao was less sweet compared to Pad Thai. Noodles were wider and thicker.I ordered both of them with beef, the beef was flavorful but a little bit over cooked. As a Thai food lover, this is definitely my go-to place in the area.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here on a Friday afternoon and there was no one else inside. The reviews arent great but we tried it anyway. This place is a solid 2. The service was inattentive and there were family members or friends in the kitchen area (which we could see behind the front counter) playing grab ass, screaming, and laughing. Although, unprofessional, whatever, it wasn't like we were trying to have a 5 star romantic dinner. We ordered spring rolls. We received a plate of tiny bite sized egg rolls, which appeared to be from Costco. They were meh. They were more grease from deep frying than actual ingredients. The chicken pad thai had very little chicken in it, no peanuts, and no lime wedge that traditional pad thai comes with. The flavor was ok. The portion size was on the smaller side for the price. All told, we would not come back to this place.

Stopped in to grab a quick bite with two friends. The wait staff quickly came to help us - they were very friendly. The heaters seemed to be down - it was very cold inside and they had a few area heaters running. I ordered the Panang curry with chicken - 2 stars (this was pretty spicy here). It was fantastic!! We also ordered crab rangoon, fried rice, and red curry - everything was wonderful.Excited to come back and try more menu items.

Staff were kind, and the place was pretty spacious. However, the food felt average. I ordered the chicken pad thai, which tasted very different than what I've had at other places - this one had more of a mostly sour and slightly sweet taste to it that I personally didn't prefer.Overall, I would give a 3.5, but rounding up to a 4.

Average food, friendly staff, cold, run down.I was there last night for dinner. Staff were friendly enough, but the building was freezing; a cold night in Seattle had more than half of the patrons wearing their coats inside. Speaking of the building; it looks like they were part way through a remodel and just stopped. They've taken industrial chic and turned it into industrial shabby. Just a token gesture at a few Thai inspired decorations on the walls. The food itself was more geared towards the student end of things - good quantities and reasonably priced. My starter pot stickers were good, and my partner's soup was OK. The staple Pad Thai was closer to a sweet and sour noodle, and was very uninspired. No stars for the run down freezing building, 1 for the food and 1 for the staff and pricing. Lots of food options in this neighborhood, I'll try one of the others next time.
