Wolfson Children's Play Shore

Nice little playground for the kids as a break from stores. They have chairs, benches and some shade. Great idea for a shopping center. Wish they had a lemonade stand though... that would make it perfect and I think they would sell a lot!

Good little spot to entertain the little ones between your shopping. It's shaded now and has Adirondack chairs so you can kick back while still supervising. Great little addition to the St Johns Town Center

The St. John's Town Center is such a huge boon for the city. It boasts a mixture of standard mall shops, various eateries, and a sprinkle of high end retail establishments that keeps young and old adults of the city coming back for more. But while we were busy cruising up and down town center boulevard, we found that our kids would be tremendously bored. Up until late last year the only form of entertainment we could provide them during a long day of shopping at the town center was the mall choo-choo train that costs us almost an Andrew Jackson for a 3 minute simulation of weaving between traffic for our 2 kids. Sure we could bring them to the beautiful pond at the center of the mall in front of the Italian restaurant, but with the lack of railings if we don't keep a close eye on them, they could literally be swimming with the fishes (or turtles or ducks)!Thank goodness for the Wolfson's Play Shore for providing our kids a break from all the commercialism. The name itself is reminiscent of the wonderful beaches that attract people to Jacksonville and the colorful sea life play structures continue with this aquatic theme. In regards to safety they've got you covered from top to bottom. The area is shaded and the flooring is made up of that finely ground tire rubber that makes you feel like you're wearing moon shoes. There is ample seating all around the area along with anti bacterial soap dispensers.Once the kids are all pooped out, it's back to the endless grind of spending our hard earned money. I'm glad a play area is finally here. If a free pitstop to unload your kids energy isn't your cup of tea, there's always the choo-choo.

Pretty new play area for children in the middle of St John's Town Center right in front of Dick's Sports. It's a nice shaded area, for kids to exert some energy while the parents sit down and take a rest (they actually have lawn type chairs to sit in, while your kids play). This play area is made for climbing on objects and running around. My boys 4 & 2 had a great time playing amongst themselves or with other kids. It's about time they added a good kid area.
