Winterbourne On The St Johns River

This place is amazing and so beautiful. I couldn't believe the scenery that takes place here. Gorgeous view of the river and such an excellent place to do a wedding. I came here for a good friend's wedding and I'm glad they chose this place. Wonderful! The home is gorgeous as well as it built in the 1800s. They do need to fix it up a bit more, but the important part is the view of the river. Also, the house offers a reception area where it can hold about 50-60 people. They also have food options and decorations for you as well so it's a good package deal. The staff are really nice and they cater to you well. I would say this is a good choice and possibly may be in my book to check out for my wedding as a venue. Also, the weather was perfect! Not hot, just a nice cool spring. It was just gorgeous. I couldn't say anymore.

This is such a beautiful location. It's right on the river and the house is pure charm. If you want to have a wedding with a "garden" or "southern" theme, this is perfect for you. Although I didn't have my wedding here (we are eloping!) the staff was immensely helpful in planning. We ended up having my bridal shower here instead and it was lovely. The food was impressive too - beyond what you'd expect for buffet style wedding cuisine.

From start to finish the Winterbourne was the perfect place to have our wedding. The staff are amazing and will work with you on everything. The location is gorgeous and it's hard to beat the view. It's been a week since I was supposed to tour this venue for my wedding. Both my parents and my fiancé's parents (who had to drive 45 minutes to get there) were with us. Our tour time was 12, we were there by 1155. No one was there to greet us. In fact, no one ever showed up for our venue tour. Both my mother and I called and left voicemails but we have not been called back. It was our first venue we had planned on seeing because it was a top choice. Needless to say, it is not a choice at all anymore if this is how they treat their clients.

This is a beautiful venue, and I would have loved to hold my wedding here, but the miscommunication and lack of follow through made it impossible.The event manager told me there was no holiday pricing, and so when I called back to figure out how to put in a deposit the office manager was like sure and here is our holiday pricing.Then when I emailed back, and called back, I didn't get a response for a week. An entire week...and when I did it was this weird passive aggressive voicemail.At that point I decided that the Winterbourne was not for me.The venue is absolutely beautiful, but when it comes to my wedding, I need someone to call me back.

Unfortunately, I had terrible experience with the Winterbourne Inn. I was informed by their staff that they were holding my wedding date while I reviewed the contract. Upon sending the contract back with some edits, as I am an event planner by profession, and their contract is in their benefit, not the bride's - suddenly my date was no longer available and they stated they only held dates for 1 week (unknown to me, since I had communicated with their staff something entirely different). Upon expressing my disappointment with this process - I have yet to hear back from them as I have inquired about another date. They seem to not care at all - which is extremely saddening as many brides are placing their trust in them to make their dream come true. Brides beware.

This was the second time using the Winterbourne for special events. The first was for a brunch and this past weekend was for my dream wedding. Everything was beyond my expectations and being a tough critic its saying a lot! The food is well priced an absolutely amazing! Candice is truly a blessing and lifesaver!
