I absolutely love going for an evening stroll in Willow branch Park. With its beautiful trees and flowing creek it's the best place to relax after a hard day. They have a basketball court as well as two baseball fields. I played kickball here last spring with Stonewall sports Jax. It has a lot of tree covers, so it's cool even in the midst of the Florida heat.

This is a lovely, low-key park located in the southern part of Riverside before the neighborhood becomes Avondale farther south. Willowbranch Creek meanders through it. Willowbranch Park is bordered by Willow Branch Avenue, Sydney Street, Cherry Street, and Park Street. At one end is the Willowbranch Library and on the same side, at the other end, are baseball and soccer fields. The other half of the park are paths and gently wooded areas to stroll and benches to sit on.This is not a dog park, so dogs need to be leashed at all times (city ordinance).Parking is located on the outskirts of the park. Please only use the library parking lot when the library is closed. Also, when parking across from the park, be careful of driveways and do not block.

This is another nice park nestled in the heart of Riverside. There are benches and paths and trees and you'd hardly know it was on a fairly busy street. There's also a basketball court and it's attached to the Willowbranch Library so you couldtake the afternoon to go find a book and read in the park

I love Willowbranch Park. It is a location where you really see the community come together. From basketball, to T ball practice, co-ed softball, and playgrounds there is always something going on in the park. The Willow branch Library is located next to the park as well as the community garden. It is a great way to spend the day!Love pecans? Want to gather some yourself? Currently (Sept 2017) there are two trees in Willow Branch Park between Cherry St and Park St on Willow Branch Ave. There is also one, smaller pecans but a ton, on Park St between Cherry St and Mallory St.Only negative would be the middle walking path is not handicap or stroller friendly. One end of the center path only has stairs and it can be a challenge to stroll through and get out if you are on wheels.

Very quaint little park in the middle of a Riverside neighborhood with some pretty nice houses around. My sister and I decided to take a walk and felt very safe going through Willowbranch Park. They have an adorable little bridge/walking path that goes over the creek. There was a little garbage in the creek which was unfortunate, but overall this is truly a gorgeous tree filled park where we definitely felt safe to visit.

I love my little neighborhood park! I can throw a stone at Willowbranch Park from my new place on Mallory Street and, after only a few weeks in the neighborhood, I'm already a regular at this shady, little spot. Whether you're walking your dog, swinging your chillins on the swingset, or just enjoying a little nature in the afternoon, this quiet, tree-filled oasis is where you want to be. The running trail leaves a little to be desired but I've found that mixing up some neighborhood running with the park's pavement makes for a charming exercise route. I've also seen families picnicking in the park, which was definitely inspiring to me if I ever get the urge to go Jane Austen with it. Hooray for pockets of nature in our fair city!

Not much to say about this place but it is indeed a gorgeous little park! Plenty of big ole trees that keep the place well shaded and fresh. Lots of space so that even with a lot of people (like when I went), everyone is able to keep to themselves if desired. Perfect spot for a romantic picnic or to curl up solo underneath a tree with a good book or to take your kids/dog and let them run off their sugar high lol Need to clear your mind? Visit this quiet, quaint little spot :-)

I packed a picnic lunch and walked my dog to Willowbranch. Too bad that once I arrived, all the benches were claimed by the snoozing homeless. The pup and I set up shop underneath a tree. It was quiet and serene, like a little Duval oasis. DuuuuuVaaaaaaaaL. (Sorry. Lived here too long.)The best part was the pair of imitation vintage keds my hound located a few feet from the sidewalk. Hipster tracks! If only I'd had a PBR and snazzy hat. I could've lured the hipster to me and discussed something obscure.Maybe next time.

Very cute little park, just right down the road!! This little park has it all: a baseball field, basketball court, picnic tables, benches for sitting, a nice little creek, and plenty of trees. Perfect for a stroll with the pup, and a nice open field for some pup play, or chilling out getting some sun.Right behind the Willow Branch library, there is usually some kind of activity going on here, whether it be a softball game, football practice, pick up b-ball or a BBQ. A nice little slice of Riverside.

In the late sixties and the early seventies the city of Jacksonville Florida would allow music bands to set up and perform at Willow Branch Park in the Riverside district on the west side. Most notable were the Allman Brothers. They lived not to far from the park where they were writing and practicing their music. They would play at the park in front of an audience to get a feel for their arrangements and audience reactions. They were auditioning members and writing songs for their first album. Every one who attended these series of free concerts knew the The Allman Brothers Band was going to make it big.Shorty after the The Allman Brothers Band left Jacksonville another band made it big. They were going to the same high school I was attending. Robert E. Lee high school was a few blocks from Willow Branch Park. I do not recall them ever playing in the park, though. When this band started to get serious I would see them in local clubs. The band had a short time on this planet but they left an indelible legacy. Ronnie Van Sant once told me, when I asked them why they chose touring on a bus instead of flying, "Planes go up and sometimes they fall out of the sky. Lynyrd Skynyrd's music will live on eternally.
