Whiteys Fish Camp

So we heard about this spot from a Facebook group and decided to try it! Walked in..greeted nicely. I want tonstart with our server was outstanding! Her name is TK I believe! She was attentive and absolutely accommodating. We ordered the Seafood basket and for an appetizer we had the alligator. YUUUUMMMY! BOTH!. TK told us that they have live music on Saturdays at about 7. Thankfully we arrived before the huge dinner crowd which is apparently around 6 on Saturday. Lovely experience. We will be back

We took our parents here mainly for the all you can eat catfish and it was all so great. Our server was very attentive and fast service to our group of 8. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Pretty casual and laid back environment. Lots of options for all you can eat. Everything was tasty.

First and foremost our party was provided with phenomenal customer service from Kelly. She gave us great suggestions that we used in our choices. When our food arrived it was piping hot and fresh. Everything had great flavor, all the way down to the crispy on the outside but soft on the inside hush puppies. We sat on the outside and even though it was kinda cool for the day, the temp was perfectly stable for the patio. There is also a great sized tiki bar right on the dock. You can definitely host a larger party or just a quaint family dinner. If you have littles, noise level is not an issue as it gets pretty lively. On this particular evening we are enjoying the Christmas boat parade being hosted from the dock. So this has been an exciting visit. They have a gravel parking lot but handicapped parking is paved. Enjoy!!!

A fun and wild go-to place for me when I'm in town - the fish tacos are amazingly well made as are the hush puppies. If you want down home southern cooking made family recipe style this is the place for you! I'd suggest any ole twisted ice tea by the water would be a great way to spend the afternoon as the boats on the docks here are full of new good people and friends yet to be met!

Went on a Saturday for a birthday dinner (early). It wasn't too packed since we were early. We were a fairly large party, and the server handled all the separate checks easily and pleasantly. It took a bit long to get our first drinks, but they were consistently full from that time on. We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely weather. We ordered steamed oysters as an appetizer. I prefer raw, but most at the table preferred steamed. I thought they were pretty good!For my dinner, I ordered a salmon bowl. It was very good and everything was fresh. My only complaint is the salmon piece was fairly small - but this is where we are at as a restaurant society these days lol. So I guess it's just normal. Over the years they have definitely added some more healthy options. And this is a good one! Someone at the table let me have a hush puppy as well. I really like hush puppies and whiteys is near the top of my list. Someone else at the table ordered the shrimp dinner (grilled) and that was good. I think shrimp is one of the things Whiteys does best! I didn't sample anyone else's plates but everyone at the table felt good about the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere. Whiteys is what a fish camp really should be. There's a reason it's been around so long!

My first time at Whiteys and it was extremely enjoyable! I started with the fried alligator bites. They were very good and some of the best I have had in a while. For dinner, I was having trouble deciding on just one thing so I went with fried shrimp and blackened mahi. The dinner entrees come with a good amount of side options and I ended up choosing sweet potato fries (soooo good) and the green beans. The sides were some of my favorite parts of the meal, they were deliciously seasoned. My husband got a medium rare steak and he said it basically melts in your mouth. He said it was one of the best steaks he's had.Since we came for dinner, we did see a bit of a dinner rush and larger parties seated near us but we had no issue with the speed and accuracy of service. Our server was attentive and provided good service. The restaurant is well kept, clean, and decorated nicely. I did enjoy that it's right near the water and has a nice view of the lake. I will definitely be back!

Haven't been to Whitey's in a very long time, so when a friend suggested we eat there I was game.We opted to sit out on the deck area, which is huge. You can watch the boats come in and out and enjoy the view of the river. Just be aware that smoking is allowed out there.I ordered a fish sandwich and my table mate ordered fried gator tail. Both were tasty but I believe could have been left in the fryer just one extra minute to get that golden color and a more crispy texture. Fish was not seasoned, but with some tartar sauce it was good. Bun was not toasted, which I prefer, and would know to ask next time. Service was a little off and on. We had to wait quite a bit to get her attention to bring us additional drinks from the bar, but she was friendly and helpful with menu questions.

Overall, this was a decent experience. The food was great the atmosphere equally as inviting. The only needs improvement was the service. The entrées were brought out with no condiments and when I say condiments, I mean, not even salt and pepper. I asked for a bloody Mary and was told they didn't have those overall the food was good but that's about it

Very nice Sunday funday. After Waffle House breakfast and waffle cone treat we laughed and said maybe they had shrimp and waffles at Whitey's. We never gave it another thought between the apps (calamari and free hush puppies courtesy of Yelp) and 15 tastes of chili and a virgin Bloody Mary we were stuffed!!The waitress was so sweet to bring Jethro some water that he enjoyed after a couple hush puppies and calamari. The live music was great. People were dancing and laughing. Just a great laid back Sunday!
